Just saw a news on FB that the cops helped a guy locate the theft who broke into his house with the help honor of “Find my device” function. What's the working principle of the phone's locating feature？ Will it still work if I turn off the the GPS function？

I've just flashed ROM-Apocalypse on my GIO and then Webroot SecureAnywhere has detected com.sec.android.app.myfiles as malicious. Maybe the security app is too sensitive, but it didn't detected malware earlier on other ROMs, so the best idea was to post the warn just in case.

hullo all, I flashed crDroid 9, which seems to be a unofficial LineageOS 20 more or less, and after a while, location seemed to work. But my public transport provider is spittin' an error, so I cannot use the electonic ticket (costs 10% less). Any ideas on how I could make this better? Or is the unlock state the problem here?
