performance wise, it is pretty much the same. not really an upgrade. except you want to upgrade the screen size & front camera.
The Mi6 was/is an extremely fast, extremely smooth phone.
Where the 5T excels is that the screen is larger, it's amoled, the developer community Annnnnd updates are unparalleled.
However... The Mi 7 is on the horizon.
The main reason to go for one plus is for better roms and development.
I'm just surprised Mi 6s hasn't been announced yet.
Btw which has a better camera?
of course 5T all the way. I mean if money is not my problem, I'll go for 5T. The only advantage of mi6 from 5T is using the same processor and cheaper.

miui doesn't support camera 2 api without root and as before you can't rely agood camera from miui, with modded google camera i can turn crappy redmi note 4 camera into a beast. but until now google does not have dual camera phone then there is not much option for dual camera phones.
i heard that 5T camera isn't good as 5, maybe future software update can solve it.
3T camera also seems pretty broken, camera cant focus properly.
Mi 6 is performing great and I cannot see any problems with the camera.
I should have the OP5T in a few days time. Will do a camera and speed test comparison on my channel (see my sig)

I think you do not know what you're talking about, the Xiaomi Mi6 does not envy an op5t at all and plays in the same league, in fact the ceramic version of the Mi6 is a luxury, it's as fast as the oppo
I'll have Mi 6 (miui ROM) vs op5t speed test video hopefully up tonight/tomorrow morning on my YouTube channel.

Headphone Volume

After I updated mi Xiaomi Mi 5s plus to MIUI 9 (Android 7) the Headphone Jack is not as loud as it was before... Doesn't matter if I use my Sound System or my Headphones. It's much quiter than before. Has to be a software related problem, cause my Sound System is much louder if I connect my PC to it. And im sure, that my Headphone Jack was much louder before I updated. Does someone know, why the volume was lowered with the update or how I can fix I?
PS: Didn't wrote at the Xiaomi Support yet

This is the Xiaomi Mi 5s (not Mi 5s plus, just the regular Mi 5s) forum, and you wrote Mi 5s plus in your post.
You should try ask the same question in the correct forum.
By the way, you should turn on and tweak the Equalizer and the
Mi Sound Enhancer, and maybe wipe cache or something.

Possibility going from OnePlus 5t to Pixel XL?

Ok I know this is a pixel XL forum but I have the 5t and it's great....BUT I miss the stock Android with the updates being constant. I have the 6gb version but I don't want to lose in this. Anyone been/is in my situation? Can someone tell me if it's worth it?

I just switched from my 5t to a XL 128GB. It's more fluid. Stock Android and ROM support is at a high for the XL. Better phone in general. I like the 5 and the 5T but ain't nothing like Nexus/Pixel ??*
I had a OnePlus 3 and recently moved to a Pixel XL, I won't go back to a OnePlus product, software-wise is not worth it, their version of oreo is pure crap, their software updates are slow, camera is not that great, the size and screen of the 5T are awesome though, but software and software updates are most important for me, having updates almost monthly is priceless, also, they released the 5T with nougat which means android 9 is going to be the latest major update as well as the Pixel Xl which almost 2 years older.

Xiaomi Mi Band 3

I know there is no English/International version for now, but let's have a discussion about this new band. What about you, guys? Will you buy it, will you use it?
Any idea of the US release date?
The only information that I have found for now is that intentional release might be sometimes in September.
Unofficial English Firmware for Mi Band 3 is available now. Details on Reddit in r/miband/ subreddit (I am a new XDA user and not able to post external links)
I am developer of it, so feel free to ask any questions and report any problems.
Here is the link you wanted to give with that unofficial english firmware: https://www.reddit.com/r/miband/comments/8r88c7/unofficial_english_firmware_for_mi_band_3/

I have some question. I see that there are problems with the news. They look ugly. Polish sentences the same. This is due to the Polish signs "Ś, Ż Ć", etc. Instead of some letters there are "?, []", Etc. In English messages it's the same.
Will this be corrected in the unofficial software? Or we have to wait for the official release of the software?
Is there a chance for a Polish language? I can translate from English

It depends if they release multilanguage but I doubt. But if there is the same firmware constitution, we could be able to make (translate) our own firmware.

I have bought one and I am impressed to be honest.
I would like to know when Mi Tools will support Band 3
Just got mine! The difference in brightness is just amazing as you can see in the photo. I have installed the English firmware without a problem.
Ive had mine for about a week now. Upgraded the firmware to english throught the miuim.com website forum with the edited mi fit app. It was super easy, downloaded the app, it updated the bad to English, then reinstalled the official app.
Highly recommend the band. So much more it can do than the 2 which i had for 3 years

Fast and smoothly Rom for Xiaomi Mi Mix 2

Hello! I'm looking for a Rom for the Xiaomi Mi Mix 2. The Rom should be fast and stable (no beta or nightly). I do not need heaps of features! I just want a little and fast rom.
Please do not recommend the Epic Rom to me. This Rom is very slow and does not run smoothly.
Thank you!
You will not find it amongst custom ROMs.

You obviously did not set kernal to permissive on Epic!! If you had, you would know it then runs buttery smooth!! You really shouldn't bad mouth someones development when you dont read or understand whats being said numerous times within their forums. I run Epic and have for a very long time. Set to permissive and all is good. Good luck.
I use aicp. I use it for two weeks now. It is very very stable. Very good battery as well and it is fast. No show downs what so ever.

Come on man, I just have my my mix 2 a week, global stock rom, no root and I must say, this thing is Smooth, I don't game but everything I trow at it it handles fine.
The mi mix 2 se has the same CPU as the oneplus? I would buy that one then.
Mi mix looks more sexy then all other phones, sexy as hell!

If you have mi mix 2, its a waste of money to change to OP6. The performance of 845 in comp with 835 its not so big and you wont feel it in daily use.
Its worth the trade only if you want better camera/amoled, but even in that case, you have better options.

Yeah that's definitely Oneplus fanboyism talking up here.. I have owned a OP3 and never getting another Oneplus product. Had some issues and their support is just horrendous.
Xiaomi offers way better value for your money now that Oneplus is almost as expensive as a galaxy.

I'm completely done with Oneplus personally
They claim to be a "small company" and to listen to their users (which they really don't). They are just BBK's electronics marketing machine. They are becoming the Oppo for the west.
The time were Oneplus was really for tech enthusiasts is gone now.

No, I do not think so. The Mi Mix 2 has a lot of power. The original rom runs smoothly and quickly. But I just do not like the rom and it does not work so well. I will try AICP today.
