Hi Guys
I want to try out the stock rom for my htc desire. But I get this error " Error [140] Bootloader version error". I have tried with both European roms which are available at the rom developer section.
About my phone settings right now, I did root my phone for some months ago, with revoked, which replaced my bootloader with another bootloader. In the boatloader menu i can see i have HBOOT version 0.80.0000.
Can someone help me out, so I can get the stock rom on my phone again.
Thanx
/JC

1. That's not a lot of info you have provided. You need to be specific about what you have done, ie each step. And them give info on what you are doing to try to make it boot.
2. Have you researched other threads, there are plenty of them that will help. If you haven't then do some reading first as it will help you.

Thanks for your reply.
I have used rthe rom.zip from the: RUU_Marvel_S_HTC_Europe_2.13.401.3_Radio_47.23c.35.3037_7.54.39.28M_release_236989_signed.exe file.
I have copied it from the temporary folder, because the EXE was giving me error ...
I have booted to Bootloader and waited some times, and it asked me if I want to update the phone, I clicked on the vol up button(YES) and it has installed the update.
Then it says to reboot, and then the would not boot/start anymore. Even the bootloader was not working ..... :/
Thanks in advanceee !

I also have that problem. I was trying to root the EU wildfire S of my GF. So, I renamed a firmware.zip file into PG76IMG.zip and flashed it via H-BOOT as advised here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=26687991&postcount=9
But now I'm facing an immediate bootloop. No Logo, NO nothing. The screen light just blink a fraction of a second and start over after a second or so. Not possible to get to the H-BOOT menu by pressing POWER and VOLUME (-). Unfortunately, the solution from rajanand can not work, because we aren not able to access H-BOOT and its fastboot option (I still tried, anyway, but with no success).
Is the phone softbricri
Did anybody had a chance to get it to boot at least to H-BOOT menu?
Please, if you have any idea, share! My GF is gonna kill me otherwise!

must say that i bricked my wife's wfs, and saw a few guys here that broke their gf's wfs our wife's wfs, after a month in service i have received the phone with a new motherboard, at least that was the official answer, so sorry guys but don't think you have a lot of options but s specilized shop
Guys,
I urgently need assistance, I really need to have my mobile working very soon!
Heres my issue!
BOOTLOADER IS RELOCKED
and every command I run, I get the following ..
Sending Unlock_code.bin = FAILED DATA TO LARGE
trying to reinstall clockwork
Sending BOOT , then it says FAILED REMOTE not allowed
I am absolutely stuck in the bootloader loop with no recovery or any .IMG working.
Yes I have searched high and low to help me out all day literally all day and it's been stressing me out alot!
Please help!!
Kind regards
SOLVED MY PROBLEM AND MANY OTHERS MIGHT GET HELP FROM THIS.
First of all if you are having the issue I have please follow the next steps.
If you notice when you are in the Bootloader it will say RELOCKED ** SECURITY WARNING ** if so
Run this bat file with the cable connected until the ** SECURITY WARNING DISAPPEARS ** - http://www.speedyshare.com/b3WsH/Fas...y-recharge.bat
It should disappear after one reboot of charging when it does remove the cable and close the BAT file
Reconnect the cable and open a fastboot cmd window and run the "" fastboot flash unlocktoken Unlock_code.bin "" this will then allow write access and you should be able to use your phone again! my CM10 rom is still working and etc
Hope this helps for other people, please message me if i wasn't clear enough in above.

ah bugger, can you advise in what I can do please?
I have tried the RUU but it comes with the 140 ERROR
I am really screwing right now, last time I try and root something obviously not meant for me!
Cheers guys
usually when you have error 140 is because you have wrong hboot version (you have to be lower or the same than ruu),
watch in bootloader what hboot do you have and then download ruu from here http://htcruu.com/?dir=Endeavor
check if you have a branded phone or not, and which region (europe, asia...) and download the right one then try again

Hey, sorry to bring this up again, but I did what the OP said. I unlocked the the bootloader again, and got rid of the security warning, but I still cannot get past the "htc quietly brilliant" screen. Factory reseting won't work, and recovery will just reboot the device only to get it stuck the way I mentioned before. Any help, anyone?

Please I have a peculiar problem, I pray you can assist me. I tried to root my telus dhd using advanced hack kit, after running the hack kit the phone failed to reboot. It stock at a blank bLack screen. To solve that, I mistakenly flash a froyo pd98img on a GB ROM. Since then, the phone takes about 20 to 30 minutes to boot. It will start with a splash screen and vibrate for about 10 minutes then takes another 10 minutes to boot. The problem is I can't enter boot loader and I can't use the hack kit again to return to stock since the phone won't reboot in the process.
I will appreciate any help. Thanks for your time.
And why exactly can't you enter the bootloader? Remove and re-insert your battery, Press Vol Down and Power button to boot into the bootloader.
Can you post the text that appears on the bootloader? Is your phone S-OFF yet?

Yes, it's messed up bootloader. Yesterday on #ahksupport, @attn1 gave an adb command, which after typing it, The phone booted to a black screen with HTC on it. Then he gave me a link to a file which he ask me to paste in cmd window. But unfortunately he changed his mind due my inability to respond swiftly to his question.
I have found the PDF, will give it a try. Thanks
Update: This is the file uploaded to by @attn1 yesterday. I believe it's an extracted and unlocked bootloader. The only problem is that I don't know how to flash it. If anyone can assist me.

that is normal as you don´t have a RUU in your phone. Does it still take long time to boot in hboot? from there you should be able to flash a RUU as that hboot supports multiple CIDs
I don't think it worked as he is still showing the .007 boot which is froyo.
Question why wouldn't your guide work in this case? Is it because of it being the nam version(pd12000 vs pd10000)? Hboot versions not interchangeable?or something else that as mentioned in the irc

Just one question...when you flashed the hboot did you get the OKAY.finished in the command prompt? Your is still at slow motion for booting??
If the answers to the question are: Yes. No...then you can flash an unbranded RUU and it should work. :good:

HTC One X failed update 4.2.2!!! now reboots to HTC quietly brilliant screen.pls help
To start with, i am a newbie in this android world, some how i managed to unlock my bootloader, one week later i got the update 4.2.2 message, i connected my device via wifi and began updating, everything went fine till the last byte but suddenly something went wrong and now it wont work it shows only HTC Quietly brilliant screen, if i try pressing (Power+Volume Down button) it shows the boot screen and thats it it cannot even recover to normal.
Please help me as i even tried giving it to cellphone repair professionals, as per their response it seems to repeat the process (Reboot to HTC Quietly brilliant screen) any body can help me please, coz i am helpless.
