Cant access internal storage after fresh rom install - Nextbit Robin

So I recently decided to upgrade from omni to CrDroid, so I wiped dalvik/data/system/cache AND internal storage. I then copied over the crdroid and gapps images, installed it. Now once I get into android, everything seems to work fine except that I cant read/write to anything in internal storage (cant install some apps from play store due to internal storage being unavailable), even though there are some files in there (crdroid/gapps images). I can access internal storage when the phone is connected to my PC via twrp though.
Any ideas?
Edit:
Formatted data in twrp (rather than just wipe) and that fixed it.

[Q] Help: Mounting Internal memory as USB Mass storage

I spent the last 6 hours searching and trying all kinds of method to get the internal memory to come up as Removable drive so i can perform a file recovery.
I am currently using the Cm11. M2 snapshot from 1/4/14. Before i installed this app, i decided to try Cyanogenmod installer from their website. The installer doesn't let me select or do anything, as soon as the app runs, it started downloading, wiping your phone and installing whatever rom it download. I ended up using recovery mod to flash the latest firmware but now, everything on the internal memory has been wiped.
I have tried using apps that would enable USB mass Storage but no luck, i was able to get the SDcard to mount and shows up as removable drive but not the internal memory.
Please help!

flashing roms, internal memory issues?

So i just tried to flash to the latest viper-rom from 4.3.0 and it looked like everything went fine but now nothing saves on my internal memory and my back-ups and files are no longer there. I tried to paste 4.3 back from my computer and it freezes up and disconnects my phone. The internal memory still shows 17.1 gb free of 24.8gb... What can I do to fix this?
I also tried to download the rom directly to my microsd card on my phone and transfer it to the internal memory and it wouldn't let me transfer it

Flashing new ROM on a shared internal storage SM-P605 - Solved

I looked everywhere before I tried this today and found very little info so I thought I'd post my successful dirty flash of LineageOS.
I've been using Unofficial LineageOS on my Note 10.1 (2014) LTE (SM-P605) for a little while now and it has rejuvenated my tablet. Recently I integrated the SD Card (64GB) to internal storage (16GB) and now storage is listed as 73.15GB. However updating LineageOS became a problem in TWRP 3.0 as TWRP doesn't see the 'downloads' folder etc... because the SD Card is no longer external storage and TWRP can't read it, doesn't see it as storage at all actually.
But I solved this by putting the OS and vendor images on a USB drive and used an OTG adapter which TWRP can use. ADB and Fastboot work fine, by the way, with the SD Card as internal storage. As I understand it the ROM, system, vendor, radio, bootloader partitions etc... are still on the 'real' internal storage so my updates have gone smoothly AND I save storage space by not putting the ROM's etc on my device. I run a rooted device so I can set the kernel to permissive and that way the SD Card is recognized on boot as shared storage. Sometimes on reboot it isn't recognized and I have to take the card out and reinsert it to get LineageOS to read it correctly. The only error if that happens seems to be dropbox and photos apps crash at first as they must check the missing area for files at boot. But they work correctly once the card is reinserted.
YMMV

In my system settings 'storage' is listed now as:
Internal shared storage - 9.93GB used of 14.68GB,
Sandisk SD Card - 14.51GB used of 58.48GB.
For a total of 73.15GB
Running Lineage 14.1-20170422-Unofficial-lte03lte
with latest radio, vendor, bootloader and gapps (Bean, mini).
As a side note; back up your internal storage encryption key on another device so you can decrypt your SD Card later if needed. Just sayin'

Retrieve / Restore Data on Adopted External SD Card After Flashing Firmware

On Android Nougat (LineageOS), I flashed firmware and ended up re-installing LineageOS, etc. Recovery (TWRP) did not see my SD Card, and LineageOS sees it, but wants to format it even though it has tons of data presumably. I had it configured as 'adopted' storage. Same device. does flashing firmware erase the SD card or re-create the key? I had it setup as 'adopted storage' and all my TWRP backups are on it. Can I retrieve this data? Is it even still there?
If I do need to re-format, should I still use the 'adopted storage' choice? I want to make sure that whatever I store on the SD card will be usable after I flash a new ROM, firmware, etc. Is it just a matter of meticulously backing up all the data from the device while it is in a working state? Boy, I don't want to start over if I can avoid it!
Thanks!

Adopted storage extends your internal space, I always use external storage, but I have a 32gb phone.
If you want to access data after reflashing rom you must use external storage.
And for the data recovery I don't know if it's a chance to recover it.
Ok.. looks like I am going to start over. If I choose external storage, can I install apps on the external, and use it for storing the same kinds of data and expect the phone to use it, just not the same contiguous virtual partition/volume?

music, videos, photos, etc you can storage with no problem.

storage corrupt

hello, this is my first time for install custom rom on my find 7, i follow tutorial around here, got brick and thank god, finally los 15.1 installed on my phone, but on storage, there's sdcard1 is corrupt, and not change when i format, i flash removelvm.zip, cant access internal storage for taking photo, etc..
please, can someone help..?
1. i followed tutorial How to guide (8.1 Android) LVM Chinese Unification Storage Method by @brownboy1289
2. i flash LOS 15.1
3. gapps pico
4. cm13 patch
5. removelvm.zip
can anyone help.. thanks before..
*sorry for my bad english..
I have a similar setup as yours. I did not install #5 on your list. I have also played with crDroid. I ditched crDroid because I kept having corrupt storage issues and I would lose apps because of the storage. I did confgure my sdCard as internal storage.
I'm currently running LOS15.1 and it does seem to be more stable than crDroid regarding storage. Yes, in the Storeage app it shows sdcard0 as corrupt but the sdCard does appear to be being used as internal storage and I don't have issues with apps disappearing. The sdCard is a little slow at mounting at boot and will get an error that says insert sdCard but after a few seconds all is fine. TWRP does not function well with the sdCard as internal memory so I fash stuff from a USB drive connected through an OTG cable. OS updates through the LOS update work well with TWRP and the OTG USB is not needed for that
I have rooted my phone, then i installed s9 rom and now my system recognizes only 16gb out of 64gb(I have an S8).I don't know what should i do.I couldn't find anyone with the same problem.I think it may be because of a problem during installation of Rom and something got corrupted. Is this what you say what happened to me because im kind of a noob with root...Can you help me?
