Main problem with those is they're all huge 20k mAh banks. If he wants that capacity then okay but the one I recommended is compact yet can still charge just as fast as the wall charger because the phone has been capped at 10.5 watts anyway. Although, post 8.1 update it has been ever so slightly faster for the first 60 minutes. I don't have meter readings but my percentages show some improvement.

The Aukey I linked is cheaper at $29.99 and does charge at the same rate as the OEM wall charger.

Just got it and I can confirm that it charges rapidly. This thing is the size of a Nexus 5 but a bit thicker. It definitely is heavy but charging it is done thru the same usb-c port with which you charge your phone.
Really nice design too with nonslip PC type coating.

I was waiting for the soon-to-be released Anker PowerCore+ II 10.000 which is supposed to feature PD and USB-C but unfortunately has no release date yet. But now, learning about the Auckly power bank, I tend to opt for this one. Any concerns?

I guess the only things are the Pixel 2 XL is capped at 10.5w still. That may not be true anymore with Android 8.1 as it seems to be just a little faster than prior to the update. Also, Aukey's is $10 cheaper.

is anyone using the ZMI 10 from Xiaomi?

I got the RavPower 20100mAh (PD version). It works.
Worst I can say is that it's unwieldy (slightly bigger than the phone itself), but all of the PD 20k+ power banks seem to be...

Power Delivery is a fast charging standard for USB-C. It's what the Pixel uses for fast charging. That's why it's important.

From my understanding.. PD is important as it is a safety feature on them to make sure it doesn't burn out your phone like the previous generous did. So even if you had a bad/cheap wire it would limit it from doing any real damage to your phone. So with the PD if you notice it isn't charging as fast it is due to the wire not being good enough to output that amp.
That is from what i read. if i'm wrong please correct me.
Thanks.

I finally broke down and asked Google Pixel 2 support. "Richard" said that the 2 XL needs 15W and 2A minimum to charge.
That page you gave doesn't show your charger's output per port. But assuming all of them are equal, it only gives 13.5W per port. Not enough for the 2 XL.
I bought 2 of these last night. Great limited time price last night

USB-C chargers with QC3 work fine with the Pixel2XL?

Hi,
I have 2 chargers that I used with my older phone, both are QC3 compatible, USB-C port and 1 of them can deliver 5/9/12 volts.
no matter if I use 1 of them or the charger that came with the pixel2xl I see (in Ampere app) it always charging at around 5V and 1A.
does it mean that any of them is good? is it possible to charge it even faster?
the charging speed is pretty much ok I think.
QC3 will not do anything but charge at standard speeds. This device is power delivery. QC4 will be compatible with power delivery, but good luck finding a QC4 charger.

No. It comes with a Power Delivery charger, the phone is a Power Delivery device.
QC3 and below will charge at a standard (slower) speed. QC4 is compatible with QC and Power Delivery - but, at this time there is no QC4 chargers, oddly.

He said many other things, too.
I think constantly charging with the screen off helps with the charging speed. It shouldn't, but reading other threads has me thinking this. I also, think his phone is faulty.

For the heck of it, I tried the OEM charger with the Ampere app, and it was showing basically 5v at 1 amp. Tried the usb A port on my power strip that does 5v at 2.4 amps, and it read the same 5V at 1 amp. The 1 amp port on the power strip gave a reading closer to 4v at 1 amp.
Not sure what the data source is for the app because the OEM charger definitely charges quickly. I have no doubt the OEM is doing 9 volts at 2 amps. Or something definitely higher than 5v at 2.4 amps. I am assuming it is a net figure being measured somewhere not in the line from the port, since it'll also show the discharge when unplugged. So this is not the power coming into the phone.
So as far as I checked, everything is charging well.
The problem is that if you will install few other Ampere measuring programs, some will reveal that they don't have access to the sensor of the phone so the data isn't accurate.
so, we can hope it's ok. sadly I can't find anywhere a physical USB-C Ampere meter to buy for now.

Yeah, I would assume slower rate with screen on, but would it reduce from 9 volts at 2 amps from the OEM charger, to showing only 5 volts at 1 amp? Mine does seem to slow noticeably, but that'd be a big change. Unless it specifically drops the incoming power down when the screen goes on.
I think someone needs to throw down the $25 to get an in line USB C meter to just measure. I almost did yesterday, but got too busy to read the reviews of the ones available.

I found this one.,you can try !
Build one using the car adapter.
Just got the Sdoutech dash charger for the OnePlus 7 pro. I like how the charger itself supports dash charger. Please see attached for photos.
For 36 dollars that's 10,000 mah at 5v 4amps. To get wrap charge its 5v 5amps

Mine is the 20,000 version and I know it's 5v 4amps but that's better than any other charger for the OnePlus 7 pro.

How?
I looked it up. You will need find a board that has usb end that can output 5v 5amps. Then you need find batteries that can push 30watts and wire them in series directly to this board. That's what basically what power banks are under the shell. The other option is get a much bigger power bank for like 100 dollars that you can plug into

Hmmm explain this like your 5 and have don't have google? No
But I will point you in the right direction. Google "3s 18650 powerbank" Use the power adapter guts and a 3s battery balencer. And there you go. If your going small get high discharge 18650 like the brown LG H2. Also wanna be careful of fakes they are as bad or worse than the micro SD card knock offs. Good luck have fun!
Noo. Waiiit.
Go to Amazon. Type in "powerbank for Chromebook."
Chromebook type C chargers should, whether wall or portible chargers/power bank , will give a very fast charge as well. I used my Chromebook type C charger all the time for my Note 9. It charged it like three times faster than Samsung OEM charger. Even with fast charging turned off.
I expect any Chromebook charger will do the same for my OneOlus 7 pro.
Build one???? ?
I've got a Baseus, 20000 mah, 18w max, 3a max, QC 3.0, PD. Power Bank have digital display.
I use the red USB-2 (QC 3.0, PD), that it's described to have 3a, if you use it alone. But it charges with 1,3a. In Usb-1, the normal one same, 1,3a .
Price 28.81$

Fast Wireless Chargers

Does anyone have a recommendation for a fast wireless charger? The official Google stand is crazy expensive and doesn't actually meet the max capabilities (12W EPP)
I wonder if the Samsung one i have will work ??

Yeah I was looking at that one, an Anker one and a Spigen one.
Hey guys,
Let me know what you ultimately find. This will be my first phone with wireless charging so never looked at the wireless charger market. Would love to see which options you guys think are best.

There's loads of 15w wireless chargers on Amazon, I'm sure they probably all do the job more or less as well as eachother
The Pixel Stand is buggy as hell with the Pixel 5 (or maybe the other way around?). So you might be better off sticking with USB-C for the time being anyway.

I have a samsung one from 2015 and it works fine with my pixel 5
I was thinking of trying this one. Rated upto 15w https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B07YD77RKC/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_WSyJFb1A4YY11
I've never had any bad experiences with Anker.
For max output doesnt the charger need to be google certified!
I'm asking because, as far as the Pixel 3 goes, that was the case. The Pixel stand, from reading, was the only wireless charger that was compatible in that sense.
Anyone willing to shine light on this?

I assume so?
I bought Yootech wireless charger for my Pixel 4, it also works at around 10W with Pixel 5. I've not tested many, but from what I've seen on some forums most of the chargers would only work at 5W with P4. Not sure if anything has changed with P5. I'm using it with the original Pixel 18W charger, as I bought it without one.

I bought the Yootech too, fantastic quality (aluminium and glass) paired with my QC4 charger but I think it only charges at 10w - which is fine for me, only a tenner!

I've not used wireless charging since the Nexus 4 and 5 and i thought it was pretty crap but owning a Pixel 5 has once again sparked my interest and i like the look of that one, seems great for the cash.
I'm just going to buy the MagSafe since it seems to work from most articles I've seen

Well i ended up buying one and although it is very well made and charges quickly i didn't like how hot my phone got when left on it overnight to charge so I'll be sending it back. This isn't a fault of the charger though more a side effect of the technology, it is just a shame it doesn't cut off totally at 100%. If you are going to be using it to just top up for the odd hour or so it is hard not to recommend it though, it is hard to believe they only want a tenner for it to be honest, a great find by kinny314.

Per Google's Pixel 5 page:
Wireless charging rates for Pixel 5 up to 12 W charging with Qi certified EPP charger (sold separately). Actual results may be slower. Qi certified.
