as far as the stock firmware goes, wait for a few days to get it up released officially.
I know it's a bit late of this post, however I just wanted to let y'know that I got in contact w/ Huawei US Support(So can't speak for other models of the Honor 7x), but they told me mid-March is when they planned to release the stock firmware(So within the next week or two at most)

Probably not. They actually haven't even released BND-L24 yet either. I believe the representative may have misunderstood me as mid-March they ended up releasing the EMUI8.0 updated and maybe that's what they thought I was referring to.

So the Beta testing program for EMUI 5.0 started in China. For now you can just register and will get the first build on the 29th.

Awesome! Thanks for the news.
So we can expect it OTA in 2018 for nova plus in Canada with ROGERS hahaha
not the phone (i do own it and its a pearl)... but EMUI 5.0
Rogers...must say...i feel good talking about them......it took me 2 frikkin hours a their kiosk from start to leave with new phone...about 1 hour of battling with their informatic system with the contract and another hour to do the same damned thing by PHONE...
then ,this week received a poll about the service...and instead of being with blablabla Rogers blabla,it was Fido blablabla on the Rogers page...

That's why I never get locked devices.
For huawei, very simple to unlock it...and its free...just go on their website...create an account and fill up you

I wonder if emui 5.0 for P9 would be supported on the Nova plus...based on these comparatives...
http://gadgets.ndtv.com/huawei-nova-plus-3743-vs-huawei-p9-3418-vs-huawei-mate-8-3128
ive look for the import via the dial secret codes and its the same as P9... with same menu
Kirin on the P9 vs Snapdragon in the Nova ?
I don't think that will work.
man...my hands are tickling...My hands want to try it but my head says DONT YOU DARE !!! hahaha
Do it do it ?
Stop torturing me please...its hard enaugh to contain myself
The links in the OP show that the beta for the Nova was released, but you had to register and only 200 were chosen. No doubt some people leaked it. But it is only for two of the Nova variants.
Well...i saw the page in chinese...i said sayonara hahaha

I'm on b122. What are the changes in b132? Thanks a lot!

This update should enable VoLTE, update security patches and improve dual-screen.

Also, very low headphone volume, 3,5mm output. Developers only think in how loud the music is today and they apply a volume lock on ALL variants. They dont think some records are quieter .

Thanks !!! I'm at 4 now. Still some hesitation.
I got my phone from Amazon.de and the hardware version is the same, so I could probably update.
However, I have unlocked Bootloader. Probably why the update does not show in the update app. It will be the first time to update like this. Does it affect bootloader lock status? It will remove root but that can be reapplied later.

Hey everyone,
You can download the March security update for G5 Plus (Retail channel only) from here
Side-load it through ADB.
(Note: This has been tested on Indian retail variant. It may/may not work on other retail variants - proceed at your own risk)
New build number is NPNS25.137-92-8
My RETIN device hasn't received the OTA yet. Is it rolling out now?

You may edit the title to something like "G5 Plus March Security Updates for Indian Retail Devices" as some users still don't know that it's a different firmware than for reteu/retus devices (those are ending on 93) and flashing this one could cause problems or at least take the opportunity to receive future OTA's.
Just a hint, no insinuation in any way, it's great that people like you share their firmware.

I don't see any problem with that, since it's a retail variant and there's no radio (carrier) dependency. Since all Moto G5 Plus retail variants are identical (except for no. of SIMs), there shouldn't any issue generally.
Can we just install it through TWRP ?
Bcoz i had hard bricked my moto g5 plus and use albus blank flash and i got like Moto z play bootloader and finally now its running by losing voLTE and Google pixel experience with 3g ...
So i am just wondering if i can flash it through twrp and then i get moto g5 plus boot loader back then i again flash a latest version firmware...

If you take a look here: https://mirrors.lolinet.com/firmware/moto/potter/official/RETAIL/
you'll see retail variants ending on 92 (+something) and on 83/93(+something). Both are retail firmwares and I think you can flash a 92 on a european or us device but as you change into the retin channel you won't receive regular OTA anymore. Motorola/Lenovo makes it hard to differ between the firmwares and I will try to find a stable source for that. I'm from Germany and I'm rooted so I don't take OTA's at the moment but friends of mine have received the march security patch and they are on a build called NPNS25.137-93-4.

No, after using albus blank flash you can't flash regular firmware anymore. You have to use a TWRP flashable version or any custom ROM.

I can't tell you. I'm not sure if Lenovo comes out with Oreo at all, it's been a long time of waiting now.
I think you are able to try it at once when you can grab a firmware with bl but maybe you'll have to wait until TWRP flashable builds are available or the kernel sources are released and some clever Dev can pick the needed files.
You can just wait and hope.

Hey There...
Does anyone knows when will beta version of EMUI 9.0 be available globally. They said it would be in July if anyone knows exact date ?
Any help would be appreciated
I bet they have silently cancelled it, there was a beta project in my country, I was approved, but never received the ota, it is now gone from the beta app.
Pretty disappointed tbh, Huawei and Honor just lost yet another customer

But some recent news on internet are even confirming EMUI 9.1 for our device. How could they cancel 9.0 and confirm 9.1. Maybe they are upgrading the device directly to 9.1 that's why they removed the 9.0 Update from FUT

Hmmm... Let's just hope we get it ASAP cause Honor 9 Lite has already got it about a month ago.

There seem to be some updates for your model on Firmware Finder, if you're willing to tinker with it you can give HuRUpdater a try. Personally, I just wanted emui 9 to move to newer openkirin releases.

Yes there are but I don't have a spare phone these days to use as a daily driver if anything messes up so I am a little bit afraid to do a force update.

I bet they have silently cancelled it, there was a beta project in my country, I was approved, but never received the ota, it is now gone from the beta app.
Pretty disappointed tbh, Huawei and Honor just lost yet another customer

Absolutely. It happened the same to me in Spain.

Which security patch did you have on EMUI 9.1? I'm looking to move to OmniRom and apparently the security patches from May onwards caused bootloops with OpenKirin images.

It came with the June security patch, I was not able to use OmniRom (bootloops as you said, adb starts tho not fully) but I actually tried RR for emui 9 and it worked

np, I got pretty worried when I got the bootloop, thinking that the update to emui 9.1 was somehow "incomplete".
Btw under RR the device is seen as "Kirin Treble" and not Honor 7X, but from what I can tell everything works fine. Do you also have the European model?

So this just showed up on Firmware Finder for my BND-L31C185 (Middle East Variant)
Don't know if it is beta or stable release.
