Hi guys, first of all say that this recovery is not carried out by me, I just make you aware of it. Browsing the Russian forums I found developer who has ported twrp 3.1.1 for our Lenovo phab 2 plus. I leave the link of the developer tutorial of twrp and root. I hope you enjoy.
I am not responsible for any damage nor can I help if there is any problem

The phone has been out for a while however i'm surprised there are no custom roms available for this phone yet.
Because those rom bakers only look for Phab 2 Pro... lol
2 plus is better, the way i see it. costs less, more people will get it and many would like to root and rom it.
im looking into getting it soon(if i can deal with letting another $200 go -just got the doogee y6max not long ago) I also just want to be sure i have the root process figured out. With the doogee, i asked for help and received none...but i still rooted it, luckily without problems.
I'm really hopeful some people jump in and get development going full speed on this phone(wishful thinking, maybe).
ROM tutorial, andriod for Levono phab 2 plus.
Hi I'm a developer and I have been looking for a custom ROM to upgrade my levono phab 2 plus to andriod 7.1 but it seems there is no such thing on the web, I'm wondering if does anyone know where I can find tutorials about how the ROM works and what should be modified in order to upgrade my phone? I can work on it it's just that I have no idea how android works so if can you provide information I will appreciate it.
Thanks,

Hello my friend, I am part of a group of users of Lenovo phab 2 plus, I am currently working with some developers who are using rom miui9 and LOS 14.1 for our device, if you are interested in participating in the development or being a tester, access this tutorial, and click on the group link for more information.

Hello everybody,
I hope not to ask a stupid question and to ask it in the correct forum.
I was very happy to discover that the Vibe K5 has such a wonderful community and such a wonderful quantity of ROMs.
I am thinking about getting a K5, to be precise an EUROPEAN A6020a40 (SD415).
While I was looking at the ROM threads, I noticed a couple of things:
* in the ROM title and description there is usually no list of supported devices (beyond the general K5 and/or K5 Plus)
* in the ROM thread there is sometimes indication that the developer didn't include support for a specific device
My questions then are the following:
* will I be able to unlock the bootloader and install TWRP?
* will I be able to install working custom ROMs on my device?
Thank you very much for your patience and understanding,
sweetsuicides
Yes you can. Just install twrp recovery and you can install custom ROMs for your a6020a40.

Hi guys, yesterday I burned the screen of my redmi 5 plus, fortunately was in warranty and I will be repaid. The seller offers me this model at the same price:http://www.grossoshop.net/it/xiaomi-redmi-note-5-versione-internazionale-3-32gb-nero.html that I personally do not know I would like to know if there is a TWRP recovery and if the development is active for this terminal. Should I accept the proposal?

For me, you can go for it because it's really a good device with superb specs. There is already a TWRP for Redmi Note 5 (you can find it in ROMs/TWRP section) and the development will growth in coming days (there is already customs ROMs like ResurrectionRemix or Lineage 15.1)
Hello everyone!
I just flashed a ROM called 'Lineage 16' from here https://forum.xda-developers.com/xiaomi-redmi-3s/development/rom-lineageos-16-0-land-t3830441, but I am not sure this is the correct ROM as the latest version I have found for Redmi 3s prime in the lineage page https://download.lineageos.org/land is 15. Could you please confirm it's ok for my phone?
Moreover, in about phone I see that my Android is 9, while to the best of my knowledge my phone can get up to 6.
Finally, can I root it by flashing magisk (I can see a root option in the phone menu) and how can get I google apps?
Any help, please?

That's the magic of custom ROM. 9 in stead of 6. All the info you need should be in the sources you linked. I recommend to start with official lineageOS.org
Lineage 15 can be rooted with flashing addonsu from download extras. 16 only with magisk.
Thank a lot!
Dear,
I need to have TWRP for rooting my OP9Pro but it is of course not available for the OP9Pro since it is brand new. Since i am experienced with flashing TWRP on OnePlus phones i already now that TWRP officialy doesn't support the latest phones of OnePlus so i know that the TWRP's used for that are from Mauronofrio and others. But does anyone know how long it would take till someone has developed a reliable version of TWRP for it and maybe also how long it would take till MSMDownloadtool become available for us?
Regards,
Kuno
It will become available when it does. No one knows when. One day you may see it. Or not. Flip a coin and good luck!
You also do not need TWRP for root.
There is already this thread asking for TWRP since the start of this sub-forum : https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/how-come-we-dont-have-root-and-twrp-yet.4252335/
For rooting without TWRP, here is an explanation : https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/...gisked-boot-root.4252373/page-4#post-84747985
Unlocking the bootloader is done by rebooting in fastboot mode and fastboot oem unlock

[DEV]How to compile TWRP touch recovery
All of TWRP 3.x source is public. You can compile it on your own. This guide isn't going to be a step-by-step, word-for-word type of guide. If you're not familiar with basic Linux commands and/or building in AOSP then you probably won't be...

I don't think this is applicable because the recovery is a part of the boot image and this guide is for creating a standalone recovery image I think since android O (someone can correct me if I'm wrong on which android version introduced this)

Well, this guide still covers the basics of setting up a tree and building. You'll need that regardless if your device has a recovery partition or not.
