Obb file problem - OnePlus 5T Questions & Answers

After installing some game apks, I moved their corresponding obb files into Android/obb folder I created,
but when I try to delete these files, I am not able to do so via solid explorer or via the stock file manager under storage settings. These obb files wont be deleted even after I uninstall the app, if this continues, my space will be eaten up with junk data. All help are welcome.
Thank you.

i did this several times.. didn't work either..
Where did you copy this instagramm folder? Try renaming it or moving it to another path on the memory. Also check out if there is a .nomedia file somewhere in the folder or in the folders above (depending on what file browser you use, you maybe have to turn on "Show hidden files"). If you find a .nomedia file, just delete it so that the media scanner is allowed to search for pictures in this folder and all the subfolders..
Setting > App > All > Media Storage
Clear data and cache.
Media rescan.
Settle.

Τhank you so much!! that was the answer!! I found a.nomedia file in the folder of pictures, so i suppose that was the reason why it didn'd show me the files edited after the update.. Thanks again..
You're welcome

.ZW files not showing up

Hi all,
Using Android File Transfer, I dropped a few .zw files I had into a folder called templates within a folder called ZooperWidget on my SD card. However, they are not showing up in zooper for me. I can see them in the file manager app and when I click on them, it says there's no "matching file type viewer."
Any help?
EDIT: I'm using the PRO version btw

Did you create the folder or was it already there?
Another thought: The files might also have been corrupted during transfer. Try either downloading them directly on your device or transferring them via USB.

Thanks for the reply!
I created the folder myself. I'll try downloading them directly so.
So I downloaded from dropbox and when it opens from dropbox, I'm asked to import it. When I try and import it, I get a "null" report.
EDIT: Never mind, it still saves. Thank you!

Drop .zw files into internal memory zooperwidget/templates

Can no longer see files in my internal memory!

I can no longer see files in my internal memory!
They were present when I connected my phone to laptop and copied some files.
There was an empty folder named /storage/emulated/0 inside the original /storage/emulated/0 directory.
As it was empty, I tried deleting it but it was taking a long time so I cancelled the process.
After I disconnected my device, while on ES File Explorer, I discovered that majority of my files weren't showing up. I selected all the files which are displayed and saw their size, a mere 20MB, and the Homepage on ES File Explorer shows usage to be 2.35GB/12.80GB.
Is it some sort of virus that created a seemingly empty folder inside the actual directory? And what about the files that were showing up previously alongside the folder?
I believe that I may have deleted my files when I tried deleting that folder. And why would that folder seem to be empty? Please help me out here!
Not a solution but might help
Well, almost same thing happened to me a few days ago. I too saw that empty folder and couldn't find the files I needed. I too deleted that folder. Except I deleted it completely. After disconnecting I realized that my phone was empty. There was nothing in the internal storage. Finally I realized that it's actually a virtual folder that won't show any files in your pc but that exactly where all your files are. So, NEVER EVER delete that folder.
Never delete dat folder
Android supports multiple user accounts and store their files
Storage/emulated/0
Storage/emulated/1
Etc
Sometimes that folder shows up when u connect to pc, dont know its a bug or not.

I've learnt my lesson.
Anyway, I was able to recover my images by cloning the userdata partition and mounting it on my laptop and running Recuva on it.
Thanks for you responses.

Indeed, obb folder isn't in scoped storage, no need of root of whatever, you can normally write in obb folder without doing any manipulation
Try opening it with MiXplorer
3 words... X-plore file manager
