hi all , i have a big problem.
i make a complete wipe ( also os ) and also accidentaly reinstalled stock recovery . so now i dont know waht i need to do . i was trying to install freedom os on my op5t but at the moment of intallation , ''this package is for op5t devices, this is a op5 ! wtf
how can i do now? please please help me
Try flashing twrp recovery in fastboot (i recommend blu spark twrp) and flash the full oos zip.
Reboot into the os at least once. I think rebooting into the os will automatically replace twrp with stock recovery, so if it does, then reflash twrp and then try to install freedom os again, and make sure you have the right download.

Hi
While flashing CM13 on my redmi 1s, I did a clean install, meaning wiping everything, and then when I went to flash CM13, TWRP just reboots the moment I swipe to install. This happens with any .zip file.
I installed CWM using fastboot, and that gives me the same problem. The moment I try to flash/install anything using a recovery, that recovery reboots and doesn't flash anything. My device is now useless since it doesn't have an OS installed and no way of doing so..
From what I can tell the system partition is bad because when I boot into recovery it isnt mounted
When I take out the battery now it just goes straight to the fastboot screen. I can take it into recovery but it goes to fastboot by default
Please help
Hi dude,
i guess you have checked the integrity of your cm13 ROM file and (winrar>test archive) , your best bet would be flashing a fastbootrom and then come back to cm. Head over to miui and download latest fastboot rom applicable to you.
And its usual booting into fastboot when there is no OS installed atleast for our device so chill dont loose hopes..!

Flashing the fastboot rom doesn't work.. My recovery is broken too, because I can't flash anything.. In either MiRecovery 2.0.1, CWM or twrp.. When I flash the MIUI rom via fastboot it just boots into recovery..
EDIT, I just got it into MIUI but the 4.3 version from china, without Google, and I can't download google via the MI market. So i'm downloading an international version now and will try to flash using MiFlash.
Does anyone know how I can fix the recovery? It still won't flash anything and reboots the moment I try to.

Hello my friends, I'm new here and I have some problems with my device moto G5 xt1670, actually I unlocked the bootloader and intalled the TWRP 64 bit for install some rom 8.1.0 but when I installed that TWRP my device's brick, actually I solve that problem and I want to install a Rom for my device plis help me with some rom and twrp for my device plisssss
You do not give very clear information, Did you want to format? Have you formatted/Wiped your device yet? Can you boot to TWRP 64?, If you were going into this thinking you wont need to format, It'll be hard buddy, If you did wipe everything AND formatted data, make sure that happened! Connect your phone to PC through a Data cable (official USB cable recommended), and put your custom ROM, Now if you go to install you should see a lonely file that is your ROM, unless you put GAPPS zip file too, enjoy.
also, if you do not have TWRP, Or you cannot boot, try going back to bootloader, connect phone to PC with the USB, open CMD in fastboot folder, and type "fastboot flash recovery (you can drag the recovery file to the CMD)", let us say the file is in your ADB/Fastboot folder, then you can just type "fastboot flash recovery twrp.img" which i assume twrp.img is the file's name, Take note that you remove the quotes when actually typing it
Thanks so much for your answer dude, I'm not very good with my english, but I know how install a rom, my problem is the TWRP, when I installed the TWRP 64bit my device don't running again, I think that TWRP is not compatible with my device. I'd like to know that TWRP is the right one for my device, if you could help bro, I would be very grateful. I'd also like to know what rom I can install, since the 64 bit ones do not work for me

Obviously if you flash the 64bit twrp your stock rom will no longer boot (unless you disable dm-verity)
Obviously the twrp is compatible if twrp loads
And of course make sure that the rom you are installing is 64bit - if not use the official 32bit version of twrp
The process is the same for flashing any rom (unless otherwise stated)
Format data if you have encryption enabled & reboot to recovery
Advance wipe
Wipe system data cache art/devik cache
Flash rom zip
Flash gapps (optional make sure it's right version)
Flash magisk (optional if you want to root)
Wipe delvik/art cache
Restart
Some roms you may have to disable welcome screen to boot or install slightly different

Like I said - only use 64bit twrp with 64bit roms
Stock rom on this device is NOT 64bit so use the official 32bit twrp
If you want to use a 64bit look in the Dev section for 64bit custom roms
Full instructions are on the official twrp thread in the Dev section
This applies to the flashing of any recovery - the process is the same
Also read the faqs of the official twrp thread as your question regarding booting stock rom once you have flashed twrp is answered there
The official twrp is 32bit - you will not be able to flash 64bit roms with it hence you need to use the unofficial 64bit twrp if you plan to flash a 64bit rom

Thx so much for your answer dude, actually I installed the TWRP 32 bits 2 weeks ago and 1 ROM viper 7.1.2 and works perfectly but I need Oreo jajajaja x) Thank you, you solved many doubts
I'm on 9.5.13 stable and i'm waiting for unlocking my bootloader, i heared that miui by default encrypt the phone, and after flashing magisk to get root, it will not boot unless i do format data from twrp to decrypt it, it that true or i'm missing something ?
I'm just want to get root on current build 9.5.13 to get some mods and enable camera2api without loosing all stock camera features.
Thanks in advance
Not true!
What your confusing things with, is when you flash TWRP, you need to flash lazyflasher to allow the device to boot. Or use a TWRP that includes a script to do so.
You can run the device encrypted if you want, but formatting data will let it run decrypted if magisk is flashed before booting rom.
Unlocking your bootloader will wipe data, so backup beforehand!

@sathishob you don't need root to flash a custom rom. Check the rom thread you want to flash for instructions and further assistance.

@corkiejpThank you for the support corkiejp... Successfully i flashed a custom ROM (Resurrection remix 7 ) but I couldn't use the banking apps and camera doesn't open . I tried to solve it without root. But I couldn't . So I installed magisik now everything works fine . ( I couldn't install magisik easily. It took several times to success. Most probably it says error 1 . Installed magisik uninstall then every thing went smoothly.)
Installing Aosp extended ROM I fixed camera issue and by flashing magisik banking apps are working
Thanks a lot for your valuable reply...
Hello guys
I had unlocked my whyred and flashed twrp recovery by fastboot. First time it went smoothly . after reboot phone went to stock mi recovery . I searched and found that to resolve this i have to install lazyflasher zip file . so i tried to flash that file through twrp. I could nt flash that file because it showed some error message . some how i tried two or more times to flash it with some other lazyflasher files . It did nothing . Then i installed twrp image file from twrp recovery suddenly issue was solved . properly phone booted on twrp recovery .
Then i tried to flash magisik but i couldnt flash it because it says error 1 as a reason . I tried some more ways to flash it but i can't find any solution . from the help of corkiejp i flashed the resurrection remix 7 successfully without flashing magisik. But my camera was not worked and banking apps are not worked .
So i flashed the aosp extended pie rom and the camera worked fine . but i could nt use banking apps. I searched for a way and landed on flashing magisik manager . again the error 1 prevented me to flash magisik . I flashed magisik uninstall zip and everything went smoothly.
Now my phone was properly rooted and working fine.
But my question is if until now i could nt flash lazy flashers prooerlybon my phone . is this make any harm to my phone ? Please help me
Thanks in advance ...
Hello,
Yesterday, i spent 7hours trying to install TWRP on my brand new Mi A2 Lite. At the end, i had the message, system is destroyed.
I could flash a new rom using Miflash. Now, my phone is working with 10.0.4.
When i try to boot in recovery, i have the no command message with the android green guy on his back ....
So know is it useful to install the original recovery before trying to install TWRP ? If, yes, how ?
If not, and i can install TWRP. Please, can someone give me a working tutorial ?
Thx in advance !

The recovery with the green guy is the stock one. For twrp: put twrp.zip in your storage or sd card and you must start in fastboot (fastboot boot twrp.img). Once you booted in twrp you flash twrp.zip from storage to have it permanently. Since you have pie firmware it might be better to use twrp from here which is said to be built with pie kernel, I'm not sure that's necessary.
