Flash zip in TWRP recovery
For this release I am using anykernel2 installer by @Osm0sis
Notes
EX Kernel Manager can be used to configure settings (and soon update or install the kernel quickly and easily).
Sweep2wake and doubletap2wake are currently in testing, they may not be stable and could use extra battery in their current state. When these options are disabled (default) then you can safely use the kernel without risk of them causing problems.

Flash the kernel then magisk.
When i go to download the kernel the link shows it for Google Pixel(sailfish). Want to confirm that this is for pixel 2 xl. Crazy question i know but just want to be sure before i flash.
Also download shows it for 8.0.0 want to confirm its for 8.1.0

The source is unified (the same kernel binary and dtbo image work for both devices) so yes, it will work fine.

This is a stupid question I assume but does that mean we could flash rooms built for sailfish and use this kernel, if not what changes would need to be made to those builds to make them functional here?

I don't believe we can
Working fine here on 8.1
The only issue I see is in EXKM. EXKM "Could not find compatible version" on ElementalX tab. So EXKM is not seeing this kernel as available for my device (taimen). I am assuming an update for EXKM will come out soon that will fix that.
Finally! Awesome.

Only the kernel is unified. Each device has its own specific binaries and device tree (as they are manufactured by two different companies). And for that matter, some kernels like mKernel on the Pixel 2 and Electron Kernel for the Pixel 2 XL are designed only for those particular devices as they omit the other manufacturer's drivers and device tree overlays.

Thank you so very much. I was waiting for this since I got the phone in October.
Thanks again for being here.
Could someone please upload optimised settings for perfomance and battery?

I release 2 different kernel versions here. One is for sony sensors, since they never have a problem, go for the *Mode* version, you got all working modes there but on sammy sensor you got washed out colors. So I made a second zip which has *Quality* in name, which has stock quality BUT not all camera modes are working. This works on: HydraRom, Sacs Rom, Renovate, everything else needs to be tested
Features of this Kernel:
- Build with latest sabermod Toolchain 7.0
- Build with BPI7 kernel source!
- F2FS compatible
- Choose kernel between quality or modes
- Latest Linux version 3.18.42, is always up to date
- Performance and Batterylife improved
- Choose between different CPU governors: performance, powersave, userspace, ondemand, interactiv (default), conservative
- Built with latest ramdisk sources from samsung (BPH7)
- I/O schedulers: CFQ (Default), ROW, No-op, Deadline, BFQ, FIOPS, SIO, VR, ZEN, FIFO, and SIOplus
- Fixed power efficient wq permission
- Critical TCP bug fixed
- Thermal drivers updated
- Selinux updates merged by google
- Zram LZ4 enabled
- Allow ADB-Insecure
- TCP (Network) control: Bic (default), Reno, cubic, Westwood, Highspeed, Hybla, HTCP, Vegas, Veno, Scalable, LP, Yeah and Illinois
- SeLinux is set to permissive
- All samsung related configs disabled (as knox, tima, restrict rooting)
- force encryption by samsung disabled!
Download:
V1.3 available on AndroidFilehost
Bugs/Problems:
- Camera with washed out colors or with not working modes (depends on your choice)
Instructions:
0. Make a full backup of your phone just in case!
1. Install a custom recovery for your phone, like this one here: TWRP
2. Follow the instructions on the page above, until you get a working recovery
3. Download the Kernel from below and copy it to your phone
4. Reboot to your recovery by pressing volume up, home button and power button at the same time.
5. Now, flash your kernel you put onto the phone
6. Flash supersu, phh's root or xposed, just all things that modify your boot.img
7. Wipe cache and dalvik cache (recommand)
8. Reboot

LEGEND!!!!
Thank you for this kernel. I don't see init.d support in features. Is it because it's not supported, or you forgot to mention?
I have a Sony sensor and I flashed both versions, just by curiosity. The colors are the same, which is absolutely normal in this case. But also mods are working the same in both versions of the kernel. Does this mean that the ones with Sony sensor can flash whatever version, because the fixes for Samsung sensor does not affect them in any way (pro mode of camera work very fine, all other mods the same, etc, bluefilter works perfect).
I'm on Renovate 2.0 r45.

Introduction
Oxygen Kernel is based on stock Samsung source code taken from Samsung Opensource Release Center with sole aim to provide better performance, stablity and battery backup than stock kernel. A kernel tells the hardware in your Android device how to behave, kind of like your mommy tells you how to behave. You can modify how fast your processor runs by over or under clocking it or optimize your system for battery life.
Oxygen Kernel is always up-to-date with latest patches from kernel.org
Known for maximum stability and smooth performance
All the Source Code is available on github
Kernel Info
LINUX: 3.18.132
SAFETYNET: Green
SELINUX: Permissive
TOOLCHAIN: Google's GCC 4.9
Compatible ROMS
All Touchwiz 8.0 and 8.1 ROMs
All AOSP 8.1 and 9 ROMs
Features
Here are the major features of the kernel (feel free to explore Github)
Up to date with the latest stable Linux version
Full -Ofast build with graphite optimisations
Removed a lot of useless debug and logging options
Disabled TIMA, KNOX, DM-VERITY,etc
Awesome battery life and smooth performance
ARM enhanced performance patches
Overclock CPU up-to 1.7GHz and GPU up-to 1146MHz
GPU Voltage Control
CPU Governors: conservative, interactive, ondemand, performance, powersave, userspace (default: interactive)
I/O Schedulers: bfq, cfq, deadline, maple, noop (default: maple)
Powersuspend and State Notifier drivers
Dynamic FSync, FS fsync toggle on/off
Frandom driver for 10-50x faster random number generation
Spectrum Support (a simple, profile based kernel manager || now integrated into Oxygen Control)
Disabled CRCs by default for 30% performance boost
CDROM emulation on mass_storage (compatible with DriveDroid)
Wireguard support
Boeffla Wakelock Blocker
Oxygen Control App Features
Full CPU and GPU Control
Boeffla Wakelock Blocker
Spectrum Support
Samsung Hotplug
CRC Control
And many more!
These features are only available through Oxygen Control App
Download Oxygen Control from Github Releases
Warning: If you come from some other custom kernel or have any issues, you should dirty flash your ROM before flashing Oxygen Kernel to avoid problems.
Reflash ROM -> Flash Oxygen Kernel --> Flash Magisk if you want to root
If you are upgrading between Oxygen Kernel versions, just flash the kernel zip. Also uninstall or clean data of any kernel control app you're using.
Going back to stock: You can backup your boot.img with TWRP before flashing Oxygen Kernel and restore the backup whenever you want to revert.
This kernel removes forced encryption, if you face "encryption process failed" error upon reboot then you need to format /data. This is generally needed if you are installing this kernel on stock tw rom

DOWNLOAD KERNEL ZIP
FKM download configs: oos | custom
Extras download location
(No mirrors please)
Setup and troubleshoot: To install just flash the zip on a stock setup with either TWRP or autoflash kernel app.
If you come from other kernel or have any issues, you should restore your stock boot.img or dirty flash your ROM before flashing blu_spark zip to avoid problems. Also uninstall or clean data of any kernel control app you're using.
If you are upgrading between blu_spark versions, just flash the kernel zip.
About bugs and reports: don't bother to post if a log isn't ready or without steps so the behavior can be replicated. I only active support stock OOS ROM with NO mods whatsoever (apart from root). That includes NO support if using xposed, Magisk with added modules, etc.
If you're using custom ROMs (including stock based ones) and OOS Open Betas you're much on your own. I'm mostly interested on debugging stuff in stock and stable OOS.
Also try not to spam the thread with OT. There's threads for all kind of stuff, use them.
Going back to stock: This kernel installer doesn't change your filesystem. You can backup your boot.img with TWRP or kernel app before flashing blu_spark if you want to go back to full stock or just dirty flash your full ROM.

Keep it real, keep it true, keep it blu :highfive:
Keep in mind: I will give no active support for custom ROMs (including OOS based ones).
Meaning, if using anything besides stock and stable OOS don't bother posting about it.
I am only interested on debugging stuff in stock and stable OOS (with logs and reproducible steps to replicate the issue).
Don't spam this thread with LOS or other ROMs stuff like "this don't work, my app doesn't open, etc" or debugging features.
Also don't go spam and bug reporting on ROM threads if using this.

Welcome! Great to see you here supporting the OnePlus 6 - Thanks!!!

Awesome to have you already here. The best kernel I had in my OP5, so let's go with the OP6 .
Thank you very much, @eng.stk!
finally...thanks a lot
This is amazing! I used to religiously use your kernel during the nexus 5 times. There was a "xda hiatus" since I changed to S7 Edge.
Now, I am back with OP6 and seeing your kernel again on this forum is just amazing!
sorry but no vibration control? hope this will be added to future updates...
Nice thanks again for the great work @eng.stk first and last post here as always . Hope we see some twrp goodie also from ya here.
Nice to see you here.. Great work.. maybe we can expect twrp also ?

have you tried the HolyDragon kernel?
(or BluSpark or SmurfKernel?)
how does it compare?
One small bug, the link speed for wifi is always 0.
The wifi works fine though

Tried... Not much of different... But this is fast smooth and very battery friendly... Exactly for battery this is a monster... All kernels are good... Tried even arter97, radioactiv, smurf, ex... Etc... Now staying with this
If I'm on oos 9.0.5 with xXx and Renovation rom with stock kernel all I have to do is flash this kernel zip right? No need to flash the boot image?

Oh... Maybe this is exactly for stable oos? Idk... What version of magisk did you flashed?and what kind of error did you get? Bootloop or maybe Qualcomm crashdump? Or it is rebooting to recovery?
Kernel is pretty smooth but on the balanced profile the big core is at least 25%-30% on the top frequency just when browsing net or chatting WhatsApp. Normally smurf and holydragon doesn't act like this on balanced profile

Great, thanks! Tried this on LOS 17.1, long boot time and an error that my device wasn't functioning correctly. After boot, qcrilmsgtunnel keeps crashing, so phone doesn't work. Also, DT2W seems broken.
That said, hope you can get this going, because it runs very smooth and I love k-lapse.

Idk try i test it on a10 oxigen rom
DO NOT FLASH this kernel on latest open beta 2 A11, it will soft-brick. Unlucky and curious me
Are people seeing much improvement in battery life and SOT with this? Currently on the beta and OS11 but tempted to go back to standard OS10 if this improves these.

There's a special LOS version in that thread:
[ROM][OFFICIAL] LineageOS 17.1 [OnePlus Nord/avicii]
Greetings! First of all, I have recently purchased OnePlus Nord N10 5G and since there are no flashing threads about this model (at least I did not find any), I decided to follow this one. My idea is to install LinageOS by using the LOS recovery...

@resurrect88 Link to the LOS version of the kernel removed due to a possible non-compliance with GPLv2!
