Audio volume - Razer Phone Questions & Answers

Hey guys.
I have noticed, when I listen to music (with dolby enabled) on the phone speakers, when there is no bass present in the song, volume goes up, but as soon as the bass kicks in, volume goes down again. Is this normal? Or maybe is this some kind of auto limiting?
Edit:
This ducking or sidechaining effect is also occurring with dolby disabled.

headphone background noise

does anyone else hear a background noise when using headphones? The sound is similar to tapping 2 drumsticks together repeatedly. very noticeable in max volume with no sounds. (plug in headphones, raise to max volume on home screen where there's no sound). haven't tested with other headphones and will report back after I do...
I have noticed a noise in the background... But it's more of a tv static-like sound. But my headphones are also real loud for some reason. When I plug them in I have to turn the volume way down to almost the bottom. They were designed for iPhones, which is what I used them on, but the sound quality is just so much better than the Sammy ones that came with the S3 that I still use them.

There is a constant low level distortion when playing anything through the headphone out on my AT&T S3 - if you pause the currently-playing music etc. it remains audible for a couple of seconds then stops - is this what you mean? Lower impedance and/or more revealing headphones accentuate the problem.
seems a simple reboot fixed the problem :good:

CM10: WHY such painfully loud volume when switching audio output?

I swear to god my right ear is damaged from this.
If I go from listening to music with one thing to another, be it my bluetooth to headphones, headphones to different headphones, etc., the volume ALWAYS starts off EXTREMELY LOUD when the sound begins, until I hit the volume keys.
Why? Why does this STILL happen?
There's even a setting in Sound that is supposed to prevent this. That's like a straight slap to my face.

[Q] Music volume gets very loud or soft frequently (soft bass)

Any one else having issues when playing music? The volume gets soft/low when seeking through a track, so you have to turn the volume up. Though once a new track begins, it gets very loud. Also it seems the bass gets very soft until a new track. Anyone know of a solution? This is with headphones and/or Aux port.
Edit: Well i found a solution run the stock samsung music player first.
It seems to be 3rd party music players (or maybe just PlayerPro) that had the issues. The Darthstalker rom that had the volume boost which is what made the music volume be very loud or soft. I installed stock volume zip. which solved that, but still the bass was cutting out when seeking through tracks. If you run stock samsung music player first then 3rd party/PlayerPro music app. The bass should be fine.
*On the side note if anyone ever noticed light white noise hiss sounds during quiet periods of a song or at the end. From the searching i did today it seems like its based on the impedance of the headphones. The lower the impedance, the higher chance you'll hear slight hiss sounds.

[BUG FIX] Sound Volume Low

Low Sound. Playing Music on Yureka loudspeaker will not appeal to many as the sound output is low. Sometimes sound plays muffled as well, depending upon the type of track you’re playing. If the sound output is distorting kinda, Go to audiofx app and disable it on speaker mode.
In-call sound is great but if you get low sound in earpiece, make sure in-call volume is at its peak. There is volume controls bug as well for in-call sound. During call, if the user tries to lower the volume, the volume slider moves but the volume level in reality is not lowered. I have also faced this bug. So, wait for software update, hopefully, these issues will be fixed.
Thank you. Unable to hear/attend callls without putting into speaker mode. After disabling audiofix option it solved the problem.

Headphone volume goes very loud after system sound (any nougat rom)

Whenever listening to music through earphones on any nougat rom when i get a notification or any other system sound like screen lock sound my music audio goes very loud until i click either of the volume buttons then they go back to normal until i get another system sound then goes loud again. Is it just me having this problem or are other people having it too because i haven't seen any other posts about it and have been searching for a fix for awhile.
