I want to remove AM/PM from lockscreen and status bar clock? (without using 24hr format)
And I have no idea where to start.
I tried decompiling SystemUI and framework-res but still no clue.

AM/PM from status bar can be removed by using GravityBox. But I couldn't find any way to remove it from locksreen. Even a xposed module lockscreen mods doesn't have such option.

Umm wasn't asking for a mod. Was just saying maybe you can put the base you used for making the mod in the OP like xwms1 and so on. Completely upto you of course
Little review for your hard work
on right panel, we see two xposed modules actvated : Xblast tools and XuiMod.
i only keep lidroid-res.apk and restore lidroidsettings and systemui from @_Sale_ after review. I keep it because i like toggles
your systemui 1.5Mo,
systemui from NeatRom , 8Mo , i think we loose some functions if we keep yours in neatrom.
thanks @RizaLeon

What is this?
Just a DateView mod
What is DateView?
DateView is the date in our statusbar that shows when we expand our statusbar Many of us removing DateView in our statusbar maybe because it is annoying so lets make it cool
How to use
Download the attached DateView smali files.
Extract it and move to SystemUI/smali/com/android/systemui/statusbar (or just simply replace the DateView smalis)
To change the DateView format find
Code:
const-string v4, "E"
And change the "E" to any Java date format
(Not available for Carrier X DateView.smali)
To change the DateView to Carrier Name just download and extract Carrier X DateView.smali
Screenshot by @mohawk97
He use
Code:
const-string v4, "M"

Potato Clock Mod and this is different.
The first lets you change how the clock is displayed in the status bar. The second allows you to change how the date appears when the status bar is expanded. Most developers remove the date altogether though.

Hi Attack, is there any way to do this through something like the build.prop? Not quite geeky enough, but I'd like to learn! At the moment I'm using GravityBox to handle the transparency for the status/nav bars, but was wondering if I could do it more... holistically.

Nope - you'll need to decompile Homescreen.apk, navigate to the xmls I listed above and add the code.

Damn, gotta get my hands dirty for this then, haha. I have the XT905/Aus model, I'm assuming that the changes needed will be similar to the XT907? Thanks heaps for pointing me in the right direction!

Unfortunately, this wont work on Jellybean. To enable translucently on Jellybean you'll need to make some smali edits. I did that for the Galaxy Nexus on AOSP but I dont know if it will work on the Razr M. But if you want to try here's the guide.

Hello friends
Here i am presenting a small guide for making / getting extra custom toggles / tiles in your Marshmallow Status bar. For this you need a rooted MM latest 570 build. This will work in Z2/Z3/Z3C only. You need a deodexed rom for this.
ENABLE SYSTEMUI TUNER
First we need to enable SystemUI tuner. For that swipe down status bar and long click on the settings icon for 4 seconds. ( Rounded icon as shown in image below).
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",
"lightbox_stop_slideshow": "Stop slideshow",
"lightbox_full_screen": "Full screen",
"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
After this you will get SystemUI enabled in settings like below image
Thats it. Now we need to download one application from playstore named " Custom Quick Settings". This app will work in non rooted phones also but u will miss some Quick Toggles like reboot , screenshot etc.. Here is the LINK. You can support the developer by purchasing the pro app too.. . Download and install the app. Open it. You will get a screen like below
Just play with it and get some extra useful quick settings like this
By using the default SystemUI u can't add more toggles because of restrictions. For that reason i have edited the MM SystemUI for getting unlimited Tiles and 4 Toggles in a raw. Find the Modded SystemUI flashable zip below and simply flash it through recovery. Make sure u have a deodexed MM rom.
DOWNLOADS
1) MM SystemUI With 4 Toggles In a RAW
2) MM SystemUI With 4 Toggles In a RAW + Invisible Power Button
3) MM SystemUI With 4 Toggles In a RAW + 5 Button Navigation Bar
