Hello,
I just noticied that it seems that Mi Mix 2 doesn't support APTX HD, with my bluetooth headphone and his apps, when i switch to APTX HD, the music cuts every seconds... Whereas no issue when it's on SBC...
Just, WTF?! how it is possible that a supposed flagship don't even has APTX? no headphone jack and no APTX?! are they joking?
It's possible to add the APTX HD codec to our device?

using Sony WH-1000XM3 BT headphones and was wondering if anyone can confirm if the LDAC codec is supported for this device thx
Would live yo know this as well!
Just received the phone and tested with Sony WH-1000XM3 headphones. Upon starting the sony headphones app shows aptx HD by default. The developer options allows changing to LDAC and the sony headphones app then shows LDAC as the connection mode. Using Spotify to play some music doesn't switch back to aptx HD. Upon restart the phone does change back again to aptx HD. LDAC thus seems to work on the phone.
Hi All,
I have been using the Open Camera app for my video recordings on the Mi A2 Lite so far pretty successfully..This App is really nice with all the options also getting me
nice 4K Footage with high Datarates...
Now I want to shoot some interviews where I need to have a wireless Audio interface, using either my Stereo Bluetooth Headset,
Bagotte Sport Kopfhörer Kabellos with Bluetooth V4.1 + EDR-Audio-Decodingtechnology with HD-Microphone with CVC6.0, so
see: https://amzn.to/2V8bAdg
which claims to have a HD Microphone and supports Apt-X Codecs...
But I can´t get it to work with Open Camera APP. I also tried using the External Microphone settings and have tested a few BlueTooth Audio routing apps..
but I could not get the Open Camera App to work with this headset....
But there is a video which shows, how to change the Bluetooth codecs in the Mi A2 Lite:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zVK4UIHOEGE
And I can also change this in my phone....
But I am always stuck with the lower quality SBC 8 Khz sampling codec, especially, when using Audio calls in Skype or other Bluetooth Audio recorder
apps.
I only found one app, that works with the headset for video recording that was
Wireless Video Recorder App
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.webmirchi.Wirelessvideorecorder
but there is the problem, that I can not switch it to 4K, although it shows the setting and
also the audio with the Bluetooth headset is only recording with 8 Khz sampling frequency with my headset, so the sound is
just very muffled and has no good audio....
So is there any solution to get the Open Camera App to work with Bluetooth headsets and also switching the codecs, so to get
a real good Wideband Audio codec with at least 16 Khz sampling frequency or better at least 44 or 48 Khz ?
Many thanks.
Regards, Stefan.
It seems from some other replies in another thread, that the MiA2-Lite has a bad Bluetooth implementation....
So I guess it is better then to just buy a wireless audio interface and put it into the Microphone-Headphone connector or go via USB to connect
an external Wireless microphone....
Does anybody know how to connect a USB microphone or an analog Audio interface via the USB connector and can it then be used together with Open Camera ??
Many thanks.
Hi,
I have a Bagotte Stereo Bluetooth Headset, which works in Stereo Mode in Music Listening only mode in good quality...
See:
https://amzn.to/2V8bAdg
which claims to have a HD Microphone and supports Apt-X Codecs...
But now I wanted to try to change the Audio codecs to see, what are the best sounding Audio Codecs...
So I found this Android app:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.wikimediacom.aptx.checker
the Apt-X checker,
but after watching this video, which shows, how to change the audio codecs in the phone:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zVK4UIHOEGE
And I can also change this in my phone....
But the Apt-X checker APP does not detect, when I have enabled the Apt-X codecs...
And I also hear no difference....
Also this app has bad review and saying it is a bogus App.... Hmm....
So how can I enable these codecs and test them out the best way with this headset ?
Are there any better Bluetooth testing Apps, that really tell me the used codecs and its settings ?
Or how can I find this out ?
Many thanks.
Regards, Stefan.
Xiaomi provides poor codecs support. Right now, Mi A2 Lite is using SBC codec only, while on Oreo we at least have had access to AAC too.

Many thanks for these infos.
I just installed a good Audio player today and then went into the Developer mode setup and set the Bluetooth Audio codecs to Apt-X 48 Khz and 32 Bit
and then started the player. but after each stop it switched back to SBC 16 Bits 44 Khz....
So no luck with switching the Bluetooth Headset to APT-X, which my headset supports... Damn..
Also my BT Headset supports under Skype only 8 KHz sampling rate... I really can hear the difference between it and and normal
wired headset when I call the the test-echo Service of Skype... with the wired Microphone it is much clearer, than with the Narrowband
SBC codec with my Bagotte BT Headset...
So is there any other solution to get the headset to work with a Wideband Codec also in Skype and other Audio applications like Audio recorders,
which at least use a sampling frequency of 16 or better 44 or 48 KHz via Bluetooth ?
https://forum.xda-developers.com/mi-a2-lite/how-to/basic-aptx-bluetooth-audio-pie-t3891715
So, if you install Magisk on Andoid 9 Pie you will get ALL the Bluetooth codecs to work or what ??
I already considder installing a custom ROM , which does fully support the Wideband codecs under Skype Audio calls and other audio applications..
I would like my BT Stereo Headphone with APT-X to work with Skype with Wideband codec and also use my BT Headset for
Audio recordings with at least 44 or 48 Khz sampling frequency and not just the 8 Khz Mono SBC Codec that is really crappy....
Which custom Rom does this allow on the Mi-A2 Lite ?
How about the Lineage OS versions or MUI versions ?
Many thanks.

I recently bought a Bluetooth ear buds, when I watch movie or play game(pubg) the sound comes in earbuds late.
Is there any way to fix that latency?
My phone - Redmi note 5 pro(MiuiPro ROM)
Earbud - Boult audio airbass tru5ve (5.0)
Some level of latency is expected in bluetooth earbuds, the best you can do is try to change bluetooth codec to aptX in developer options if your bud supports it but there is no way to remove the latency completely.
Hello,
I was trying to switch the Bluetooth Audio Codec to Qualcomm aptX to be used with my SoundPeats TruEngine 3 SE wireless earbuds. I am able to select aptX when the Bluetooth is switched on,
but as soon as I connect my earbuds it switches by to AAC
I am certain that my earbuds support aptX codec ( Product Spec is available here
Had anyone this same issue? Is there any way I can resolve this? I just want to make sure it is an with the issue with the phone so I can be certain that I don't have to return the earbuds.
