I just got the phone today and the store updated it to 8.1. I have it unlocked and rooted but it crashes when i hit install for busybox. It says free space unavailable for /system/xbin
Delete unused keyboards. Not the Latin one tho...

If you're using Magisk, just use the Osm0sis BB module. If not try Meefik which supports custom install locations.

Does anyone know how to remove superSU that came installed as a system app and replace it with superuser? I've been able to remove superSU using ADB, but now superuser says there aren't any binaries.
get superuser from the play market, install it, open it, update the binaries, delete supersu from /system/app/, then reboot.

should i have updated binaries before deleting superSU? that's the only step i didnt do and superuser said no binaries detected (and doesnt give an option to update).
Edit: I flashed the binaries posted by chainsDD and everything works great now. Thanks simms!
sweet
why did you want to change anyways?
Thank you!!! I like superuser so much more than supersu!

Does anyone have any problems with the busybox installed by wugfresh's utility? I switched out the SuperSU app with Koush's SuperUser app and I noticed that busybox is 0 bytes and none of the commands work. I would like to know if it is an issue with that busybox installer or because I am using a different su. I got it working by using the JRummy busybox installer, but I rather use the Stephen installer.
Additional info: stock rooted 4.4

If it doesn't work using the Stephen installer, and you got it working using the JRummy installer, why do you want to use the one that wouldn't work?
JRummy installer uses an older version of busybox, which might be why it's working for you. I believe versions past 1.20 aren't compatible with Android 4.3+

I was wondering if others were having the same issue with the Stephen installer. If so, we could pass this information to Wugfresh. He might be able to give us an option as to which busybox installer his utility will install on the device. Also, it is just strange that everything installs properly, but the busybox binary is 0 bytes.
Can confirm the issue on a N4 also
Stock 4.4.2 ROM on Nexus 4. With koush's latest superuser, problem is exactly as you describe when busybox is installed via Stephen's utility. Using latest supersu by chainfire, everything is fine. Haven't tried any other installation methods. Someone know what's wrong?
Hey all. I just flash that ROM. Works really nice. But I can't find SuperSu installed. Also apps which needs root permission didn't worked. I just go do download SuperSu from market and the program shows me an error told me to reboot and try again. Can you please help me? Thanks in advance.

You ALREADY HAVE root with CM-SU. To enable it, just go to developer option and give root permissions to app. Some SuperSU's versions are incompatible afaik. CM-SU preinstalled is just fine.

SuperSU is an issue for itself. Installing 2.74 using TWRP on my G3 lead to boot problems because of a boot image patch that SuperSU installs. If I restore boot partition before rebooting, SuperSU doesn't install. Using Play Store version fails to install su binaries.
Conclusion: use CM own root. It works nicely, just lost FolderMount but, well, I prefer that instead of losing phone.

Have you try this method http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g2/general/bump-supersu-t3273251
CustomPatcherScript_Bump.zip + UPDATE-SuperSU-v2.65-20151226141550.zip
But it's also can cause reboot loop
Do backup before doing flash that script
That worked fine with my D855 32Gb + CM13
i installed busybox from the playstore and it doesnt seem to want to install. I'm currently on twrp 3.2.1, magisk 15 and magisk manager 15.

Busybox allows programs to perform actions on your phone using Linux commands. So some apps require it to run some commands and wont work without it.

You shouldn't be getting that error anymore if you're using the latest Magisk release. He released version 15.0(1500) a couple days ago, but that was actually fixed in the last beta 14.6.
You would have to reflash your Kernel boot and dtbo and repatch though with the new version. I just used the Magisk Uninstaller script in TWRP, flashed the latest zip of flash Kernel then latest Magisk in TWRP and all good.
Hello everyone,
So I have a question regarding Busybox and Viper4. I'm rooted via magisk and I*'ve attempted to get viper4 via magisk app but have been unsuccessful due to drivers. I've installed busybox via magisk, but I never get the app in the app drawer. So I tried the playstore version but when I downloaded viper4 on magisk then try to download the driver, I get a message telling me to root or install busybox. I I have installed BB in sbin, and xbin, bin but no luck. I keep receiving the same message. Any ideas? I have elementalX kernel.

The module doesn't create an application. I install BusyBox for Android NDK and Viper FX with Dolby and Audio Mod Library and I have absolutely no issues
I was missing the audio mod. Thank you for the assistance.
