Hey Guys!
I got myself a Honor 7x and I noticed there is no Smart Key function for the fingerprint sensor like the Honor 8 has. Is there any possibility to implement it in future custom roms or is there an app I can use for this. Because the Smart Key function was very handy on the earlier honor 7.
In general I think there are less fingerprint gestures in the System UI than for the Honor 7.
There could be a possibility in the future, it is a shame they didn't include a SmartKey.

Honor 7x doesn't come with hide app feature, i tried to find it but seems Huawei not include on EMUI 5.1 Android Nougat 7.0. Just to make sure I'm only one has this issue or you hvee the same? So, any suggestions to operate this feature without third party apps?

Two Questions Come To Mind...
1) Are you simply trying to deny access to a person or persons of the Application in question ?
2) Are you trying to hide something nefarious... that your Wife / Girlfriend (Boyfriend) / Kids can't see due to embarassment ?
If your choice is: *Number 1* then you can do it by going to: Settings / Security & Privacy/ App Lock.. Just chose your code.
If your choice is: *Number 2* Then................. You need to..eh... search elsewhere (3rd Party Software).. :angel:

Nope emui doesnt come with it..

P.S.
Keep Your Device Stock!
Rooting at this stage of the game is a waste of time... the updates you are about to receive far outweigh what you can do with root.. even if it gives you access to something that can gesture hide your app.
And there are no easy methods to return to stock for the foreseeable future..

Try the pinch out gesture on the home screen and you will get a vault like pop up where you can add any app to hide it. There is no password protection though.

Anyone know if you can set different fingerprints to open different apps/call a contact etc. from the lock screen? This was a feature on the Honor 5x (I'm not sure about 6x). You could set up to 5 different fingerprints, and I would set each one to open a different app from the lock screen. I've been looking for it on my phone Huawei Mate SE, but can't find it. Thanks.

That looks interesting and it's the first time I'm hearing it .I'm it's not present on current EMUI 5.1 or EMUI 8.0 for Honor 7x not sure about that SE though .I would like to know if it's possible to implement that feature in any way.

Hmm. Well if it's not present on EMUI 5.1 for Honor 7x, then it's probably not present on Mate SE either. It's running the same thing. Strange that it wouldn't be included... Also, it doesn't seem you can use the fingerprint scanner to take you to the home screen either, which is a feature that was on the Honor 5x as well.

It isn't an in built option but you can make it work using external apps like Finger Print Gestures Pro ( available on Playstore) it also has the feature to open apps for a particular gesture like double tap , swipe down fast etc., but I couldn't find any possiblity that allows us to use a particular registered fingerprint for opening an app like Touchid assignment on iPhone.
Hello guys! I was playing around with my phone using the app Quickshorcut Maker and it was when I found a feature called 'EDGE GESTURES'. This doesn't seem to work on the device but probably a feature Xiaomi is gonna implement in its next device. I am able to enable it but no matter how hard I try I cannot make it work.

How do i enable smart lock on the Note 5 Pro? I'm aware that it works only with Xiaomi devices. But is there any Magisk/Xposed module that does the job or any custom ROM that you guys are aware of?
