Just wanting to see what anyone has done to get visual voicemail working. I need some voicemail notifications and an not getting any.
I use YouMail.
You'll have to sign up for an account and setup voicemail there and forward unanswered calls to their service instead of your carrier's service

I'm trying to enable Google Voice to be used for voicemail on my phone.. but I'm having lots of issues.
I'm running the CM6 Nightly (update every day or two) and have no Sprint apps left on the phone. I Installed/updated the Google Voice app on my phone, activated my Voice account for voicemail online, and called the number that it told me to call.
I am getting an error "Unfortunately your network carrier is currently not supported..." when trying to configure my voicemail for Google Voice.
Not sure where to go from here.
At the moment the only way I can access my email is by calling my number the old fashioned way.. I also get like 4 text notifications for every voicemail. I'm not sure why I get so many?
Thanks for any help.
You can ignore that setting. All it's really telling you is that GVoice can't automatically change your voicemail settings without calling a special number. As for the texts, go to your GVoice page on a computer, Settings, Voicemail, and un-check the Voicemail Notification texts.
on the notification bar it says three new voicemails with *86 under it , but when i click it, it dials something incorrect. Where can i find my voicemails on CM6??
You can search for the Sprint Visual Voicemail VVM apk, or download and install google voice for your voicemail.
Either way, you will always get those darn *86 voicemail messages on every reboot, and everytime you come out of roaming. I find it extremely annoying, but you have to learn to deal with it.
For some reason all of my calls are going directly to voicemail. I use Youmail on cyanogen 7 and can't figure it out. I was thinking about uninstalling youmail but even if I uninstall the app, my calls still go to the youmail service/
Any suggestions on how to stop my phone from automatically going to voicemail and/or how to actually disable youmail service from handling my calls?
ok i'm signed out of youmail account and still all my calls go directly to voicemail. I use this for work so this is really frustrating. I tried exploring sprint voicemail options and couldn't find a setting that would allow my calls to ring.
ok i think i figured it out. Somehow i had a blacklist of numbers in my call settings. i don't know how that happened. Maybe my butt did it or something. Very weird.
Re install visual voice mail apk from sprint and it will provision...
how about the texts from 9016? any way of getting rid of those? also how about the native voicemail alert, i still get those as well...?
I have been searching for a way to get Visual Voicemail through Google Voice on the GS3. Simple Mobile does not have the Conditional Call Forwarding feature, but I have heard this can be bypassed if you ask Simple Mobile to remove voicemail from the account. In the call settings it allows me to change my Voicemail service to Google Voice, but the number to forward the calls (under Call Forwarding) does not change, and it still uses the regular voicemail. When I try to change the number to forward to, it says "Unexpected response from network." Would removing voicemail from the account allow me to effectively change this number? Has anyone tried?
Thanks for the help
Never mind...
i guess no ideas?
The only way to use it is to put call screening on in the GV settings
