Another new holster/case combo is available that we pushed for. This one is nice and slim for folks that need that and says it comes with a screen protector.
Update: now available in a light blue and gray other than the usual black.

$14.97 on Amazon via Prime. Looks pretty good.
@Cowbell_Guy , this is for you...
Wow, yeah I agree that was perfect compact what I've been looking for! Just wish I knew a little bit more about that company. Either way I'm going to take a flyer on it I will order it let you guys know.
Thanks!

Good company, quality stuff.
Lol at some of their other products for reviews.
Probably not when you're going to want to hear it but there are two new versions of this case, one in a nice light blue and one in a gray color. I will grab the links throw them up later.
It's my birthday and my wife is making me cinnamon rolls.

All good, I dig the black one. I think mine is supposed to arrive sometime this weekend. I will be sure to post a review.
Interesting. For $15 I'd give it a shot.

My case arrives today. Haven't used it enough to say for sure, but I think that this is going to be a keeper. It is definitely the most low profile case of any that I've tried so far. That, on top of the side loading holster that is designed to be worn on the right hip, makes this a winner and easy to use.
Will post a full review after more testing, but very pleased so far. Thanks to Zman for the recommendation!
I ordered one from Amazon. I got the black one. I'll try it out and let you guys know what I think. I have been using the Google fabric case, and I really like the look and feel, but it's a dust magnet and I want a holster.

Why do you say that it's designed to be worn on the right hip? Doesn't the belt clip swivel? I am happy with my Seidio Surface case and holster that I wear horizontally on my right hip, but the bottom of the case is too thick to work on my Seidio desk dock. The low profile of this one might let it work, but I want to be sure I can wear it the same way.

It swivels, but only 180 degrees. Not a full 360 degrees like some that I've had in the past. I had to be Sido surface case as well, and while it fit on my right hip fine, I can't remember if it's span the full 180 or 360.
Regardless, if you like the phone on your right hip, this will be a great case for you. I've tried about 5 different ones so far and while this one isn't perfect, it's the best I've found. It's very smooth and low profile. It doesn't feel quite as nice in your hand as some of the others, but I think that maybe with some wear and tear over time it will be a little bit easier to grip.

Thanks for the information. I had assumed my Seidio holster rotated a full 360, but I just checked and it only rotates 180 degrees too. I don't see why it can't be used on the left side though. It will swivel from horizontal right, to vertical, to horizontal left. It can't rotate to upside down, but I don't think anyone would carry it that way anyway.
As long as it is thinner than my Seidio case, I'll try it out and hope it works in my Seidio dock. I don't have Amazon Prime so I'll see if it qualifies for Free Shipping Friday or find something else to get over the $25 minimum.
Just got this case in, and put it on. It's very slim, and the active edge works fine. My only complaint is that it is slippery. Hopefully it holds up well.

Is it like dangerously greasy slippery or just a little slick? All of my Seidio cases are relatively smooth with no real texture, but I have never worried about them slipping out of my hand.

It's just a little slick. It's a plastic case with a rubberized coating. It's not grippy like the rubber coating on the Nexus 5X though. I actually have had the Studio surface case for my original Pixel, so I know what you mean. I would say this is about the same.

I would agree with everyone else who has suggested that it is a little slippery. I think that is my only gripe. It's not dangerously slippery although I'm hoping it with time use and just a little bit of wear and tear it gets to be more gribbable
I just ordered the one from here, but this one by the same company looks like it has more texture plus the top and bottom of the case are open. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B077GBRJ17/

My dad has that one. The texture adds slightly to the grip, but it's got the exact same coating on the plastic. I didn't go with that one because I didn't like that the top and bottom of the phone are open.

Hey everyone, I received my TPU case from EBay (item 290530353216) today, here are some comments and pics. The fit is only OK - the cutout for the USB/HDMI ports is a little off, and there is a little bit of an edge around the power button that impedes fingerprint swipability a little. I will say too that I didn't expect it to have the goofy pattern - what is it with TPU cases and argyle patterns?? Also, as you've noticed it is somewhat translucent.
I give it a 3/5. $7 shipped in the US. I'll keep it until another inexpensive case rolls around that is higher quality.
And just in case anyone wonders, on my screen are the Pandora Widget, Android Agenda Widget, and some apps. I am running ADW Launcher (free). Also, I know I left my back panel sticker on there, and that was on purpose.

Yeah seriously with the frikin argyle ****! Its like they made a billion sheets of the argyle TPU and they just like heat mold them to phones (not like thats how they're made). This will be my third phone encased in argyle TPU. Other two were the dark one like yours, this time I got sick of trying to hide the argyle and people asking about the stupid pattern. I got clear so, "yes its frikin argyle! got a problem!?"
Waiting for the Realook screen protectors to be cut. no idea why it takes them so long to cut the right size. Realooks are by far the best screens...
Everything is temporary at this point...I'll buy nicer stuff once my 30 days are up.
I was fortunate enough to have a solid black non-patterned TPU case for my EVO that someone on this forum actually commissioned and was selling out of their garage essentially.
Check out tpu-cases.com. I bought an all black one there, shipped same day. Quality is nice, it's glossy, feels good in the hand for an 8$ case.
the 1.99 one I got from ebay is decent
Nice, never seen that site before. I'll order one up and hopefully it'll get here by the time I'm home from travel. Wish someone would make one like I had for my Evo though - it was matte on the back and shiny on the front.

Well I tried the Speck (or whatever it's called) case from AT&T and hated it...looked and felt like a toy.
Then I tried the Otterbox Impact (the smallest case they make). It's made of a type of rubber that sucks up all dust and won't let it go. It's pure black rubber but after putting it in my pocket and driving up to Starbucks to meet some friends...it looked gray. My pockets don't have any lint or anything in them...and yet the case now looks completely gray. I just put it on yesterday. It's also a bit big for my tastes...and the phone can easily come out of the bottom.
I'm going to try the cheapest cases on eBay. They always worked great for my Nexus 1 and most other phones I've used. The cheap thin rubber is fantastic for me. The phone's so freaking sexy...I just don't want to add a bunch of mass to it.

i like the feather as well. not much in terms of impact protection, but most of my scratches come from the phone vibrating on the desk over time and scuffing the battery door, so its a nice line of defense against that. also, its a little less slippery than the standard battery door which i like

Yeah its great for worrying less about the normal wear and tear.
I particular like the argyle tpu cases which give decent protection and feel. i have it for the ipad, galaxy tab, atrix, inspire, and xoom.
www.degasis.net offers these as well
I ordered my case from http://www.degasis.net/models/atrix.html (as the poster above recommended. $6.98 shipped
This is the best fitting TPU case I've had across all my devices. The best part is that it actually makes the on/off button easier to push and the finger scanner easier to operate (its cut at the perfect angle to compliment it). Its slightly different cut but a better fit than the pictures posted above.
I'll post pictures when I come across another camera some time today or tomorrow.
TPU is far superior to any other case material in my book. perfect balance of grip/non-stick, thinness, protection, and fit.

That's the problem I have with the feather - it doesn't protect either end of the device, only the sides and back.
Judging by the picture, it looks like you have that "textured" screen protector. What is the screen protector you are using? Those are my favorite kinds and I have been trying to find one for a while! thanks in advance
Kbc, who are you asking? I'm using an AT&T screen protector. It's matte and perfectly smooth.

OK, you've sold me on this case Good description of how it is, what colour did you get?
Today I got in the mail a new case for my Atrix. The only case i had gotten for this phone was the Otterbox Impact. This case is slimmer than the Otterbox. it also seems to be a bit more firmer. i was playing around with both the Otterbox and the Ringke case and i found my self applying a bit more pressure to fold them. yes their both siliconish like but im starting to like it a lot. it doesn't add that much bulk and it also solves the super slippery grip on the phone itself. I find my self liking this case more than the Otterbox. less bulk and less slippery. the otterbox had a grip issue for some reason.

its not a hard case tho. its like silicon/tpu kind of. i learned my lesson with hard cases with my backflip. its messed up the side of the phone pretty bad.
Yea. Right now i have a cheapy eBay TPU case for my Atrix. Nice case overall. Waiting on one of those Pure Gear cases i ordered which should arrive tomorrow. Figured i'd see what it's like. standard shipping was free, and the case itself was only like $20, so i figured if i don't like it much, i could either possibly resell it, or i'm just out a little bit of money. Wouldn't be the first time i bought a case for a phone that i wound up not using. Waited so long for one of those Tech21 iBand's for the iPhone 4.... but when i finally got one, it was so thick that it was difficult to reach the ring/vibrate switch, and the lock/power button was just odd to press. Wound up still using the free smoke colored case from InCase for that whole thing Apple did about the antennagate until i sold the phone, and sold the iBand along with it.
This one is okay. buttons are all accessible easily. i like the feel to it to.

Grey.... black.... to-ma-to.... to-mah-to.... either way it's a shade of grey.... and it's transparent. Calling something Aqua Black will just confuse people, and make them think it's something totally different... when it's more than likely smoke.

I just got a review unit as well. I literally just got mine today, so I can't say too much about it, but I am liking it more than I expected. I've used cases on a couple other phones and always ended up disliking the case, but I could see myself continuing to use this. Mine is the maroon color... I'll post pics up with a better review once I've had at least a day or 2 of use.

The case looks very nice. They offer a plug for the headphone jack on the website. However they are saying that taking off the cover to replace the battery a number of times will eventually stretch the case out of shape which is unacceptable, expecially considering the price. It doesn't say exactly how many times you can take the cover on and off before it loses its shape.

as do all cases do and $16.99 thats cheap
Broke down and ordered this case reason's being
Thin and no bulkness added
protects around the edges which is important to keep the case intact when the phone drops
its light
its colorful
as many of you saying that it will stretch out thats only for people who takes there battery out 10 times a day which i dont
i mess with mine. a lot actually constantly pulling on the edge. still fits snug. i actually put my otterbox away and have this one. i really like it. i have the headphone covers but i use my phoen for music. but i find it kind of a hassle taking it off and holding on to it.

Just emailed them to let me know when they are available. I have the otterbox defender and while I usually recommend them, the one for the atrix has issues. I'm on my second outer silicone part, and this one doesn't fit right either. The bottom corners bulge away from the inner plastic part, which makes them come off pretty easy.

The cases happen to be made right here in Fort Lauderdale on the other side of town. I may go get one on Monday. I have the Commuter case which I like, especially since the ports and earphone jack have covers to keep out dust and dirt and the case is easy to get on and off. I dunno if the ballistic has covers and there are no pictures of the front i can find but the design and colors look nice and I am sure the protection is good. Anyone get one yet?
Damn that thing looks thicker then my otterbox defender case. I like the color schemes though. Does it come with a holster? I have to use the holster with my defender case, just to hard putting it in my pocket.

Let us know if you get one. I definitely want one! Black on black is my choice, but the red/black looks pretty cool too.
Awesome!
Got my Ballistic SG
Well I recieved my Ballistic SG in the mail today, got it off ebay for $22 bucks! I haven't bought a lot of cases for my Atrix yet, I tried a Otterbox Impact on launch day and was disappointed with that. This case however feels extremely tough, My brother has the Otterbox Commuter, which i thought was awesome untill this one showed up. It feels very solid, The ports on the side are left exposed, as well as the speaker grill. The space for the fingerprint sensor does feel a slight bit cramped when swiping downwards, I may have to re-enter my prints to get it to read more accurately, but for now it doesn't seem to affect it too much. I've only had it for about 30 minutes but so far i'm impressed. The case doesn't slide around on the phone (though that may be in part to my invisible shield). The rubber/silicone layer does attract dust, but overall I'm happy with my purchase. I attached a few pictures if anyone's interested.

Not a bad looking case ya got there... is it rubber or plastic or both?
Edit: so the grey is rubber, red is plastic?
Sent from my Motorola Atrix 4G on the network with the most backhaul, whatever that is. This post might have errors as I hate touchscreen keyboards.
Yeah, the black part is rubber, the red is plastic, with a weird layer of black, that feels like slightly rubberized plastic. After using it for a few hours now I'm still satisfied with it. Definitely feels more solid than my brothers commuter case. Now to wait for the HC to be released and try that sucker out.
Dude, that's freaking sweet looking. Can't wait for the HC cases to be released.

Can you please drop your phone from the second or third floor while it's in the case and if nothing happens can you drop it without a case? I just want to check how though is the case before investing in it.

epic !
I like it! May replace my Commuter, even though I couldnt be happier with the OB.
covered ports
I did not buy this case (yet). It looks really similar to the Commuter case as the designs are the same///a soft rubber held on with a hard plastic. However, the ports are not covered on this one. On the commuter both ports are covered in addition to the earphone jack. Someone here reported dust on the inside of the screen and it may have entered thru the earphone jack? On my wish list is a case with a built in stand.
Found this cool case on Amazon.
It is the frosted clear PC & TPU hybrid case.

They still haven't been delivered yet. They didn't ship until two days ago and I'm pretty sure they are coming from overseas so it might be a bit. I'll definitely post my impressions once I have them in hand.

I ordered this case also. I already have the Griffin reveal now so I'm not sure how this case will compare.
Can anyone clarify if the back of this case is ridged? specifically where the back middle transitions to that alternate black color before it turns into the bezel. I have a feeling that it's just a glossy border, but the pictures don't dhow enough detail to tell.

This case is the closest I think i'll be able to get to an Urban Armor Gear case. Here's to hoping it's a quality case.

Just got my cases in finally, after 3 weeks. Much better quality than I was expecting, and definitely cool looking. A couple complaints though. One is that it's a major PITA to put on and take off. I hate feeling like I'm going to break my phone every time I take the case off (I'm looking at you, Poetic Atmosphere!). My other complaint, and this is a big one, is that it has some seriously wicked edges that make the phone a pretty uncomfortable to hold. For a phone that feels so nice in the hand, it's a shame to have a case on it that essentially kills that comfort altogether. I also have the Griffin Reveal which is a very similar design- not as cool looking as the Supcase but much more comfortable to hold. It's edges are a lot smoother and the material around the sides of the phone is a lot softer. The reveal is *almost* just as comfortable to hold as the naked phone, as it follows the contours of the phone very closely. The Supcase on the other hand focuses more on styling at the cost of those comfortable contours. If you want a case like this, ie. soft bumper around edges but clear plastic back, I'd recommend the Reveal over the Supcase. My $.02.
Edit: The Supcase has the dimple whereas the Reveal does not. I know somebody is bound to ask that question.

I ordered it when it was on preorder which is why it took so long. If you ordered it from the seller on Amazon you'll probably have it in under a week.

Yep, that's how they shipped it to me. I'm pretty sure it ships out of Memphis, Tenn. DHL handles the interstate travels and then transfers it to USPS for the final delivery. No clue why they use DHL, they must have a contract/agreement with them. Some of the colors are available through Prime from the same seller so it pretty much has to be within the US.
I got the Supcase. It took a while to get but it's a nice case. I mostly use it for work since it's so sturdy. I also like the Griffen Reveal better, it fits well and is not as bulky. The Reveal has a completly clear back were as this Supcase is kind of a cloudy back.
Does anyone know if where the clear plastic meets the glossy is flat? If somebody had a picture at a good angle would be awesome!

Looks pretty good for once, and the holster looks durable. Colors look good if they really come out this way.
Case itself is a 3 piece.
$8.99
Go get it! Low stock.
Nice price, but I can't see anyone older than 16 y.o. wanting one. Maybe if I had my phone with me while working 80 ft high on scaffolding.
I ordered as well. Thanks for the link

I already have the black. its decent. phone locks in well.
case is bulky. buttons are much harder to push. has a deep lip around screen and collects dust.
protects the phone well.
Mine is branded AIFENG, but is exact same case/holster.

Just wondering, are you both over 16 also? LOL
Have you tried any other cases in that holster?

well over 16, not tried any other cases in it actually. I dont think they would hold in it very well, the holster side clip actually has fingers that lock into the case itself. They go into the small square indents you see on the side of the case. You can put the phone/case in with the screen facing in, or out, has indents on both sides. I dont care much for the way tab over the top of the belt clip is designed. It gets in the way when you are trying to put the holster on, or take it off. I actually try pressing that to open the clip all the time, which of course doesnt open the clip, thinking of cutting it off actually.
I only ordered this as its one of the few side clip holsters I have found, it does the job, but at the end of the day its just a so-so $9 case/holster.
Hoping something much better comes along.
EDIT: so out of curiosity, I tried the Venoro case in the holster, falls right out. The AIFENG case is wider than the Venoro. The Venoro is the same as the CoverOn/LK/Aliliber/Zenic/etc. and just about all the other ones you can find on Amazon since before the phone actually launched. All made by the same factory, just rebranded.
That's what I'm doing too, this is a placeholder until the good ones come out. Thanks for the info.
I'm a 32 year old professional, had a holster for my phone for last 15 years. having trouble finding a good one for XL2. Hopefully this ties me over until the other one ZMAN called our attention to in another thread ends up taking pre orders!
good find. i ordered the cheap camo case. i usually order it for my new phones until a better holster comes out. i hate the holster where the phone has to slide out instead of clip in and out. i will definitely order this. never had good luck keeping holsters alive but the cases they usually come with are more protective. so thank you.

Anytime. I really think we need to have a separate thread for just holster stuff since most of us holster people are so particular.
yeah. us holster folk are a dying breed. lol
I'm using a Seidio holster for an iPhone 7 plus with a thin TPU case. Just have no use for a case that doubles the size of my phone.

Mind sharing pictures?
Length of the Seidio iPhone 7 plus holster is perfect. I can snap my phone in without opening the clip. Width and Thickness is a little wider (~1 mm) than ideal and the case does rattle just a little. With a previous phone, I warmed the lower corners with a lighter and bent them up a bit to tighten it.
About 40% of the bottom of the volume key is covered, but that's easy to trim if it's a problem. I haven't had a single problem with it on mine.
This was the cheapest iPhone 7 plus holster I could find: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01M7OUX4T/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o06_s00
This is the case I'm using: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0753CH9T5/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o06_s01ks It's not labeled as a thin case so it's possible other TPU cases will fit a little tighter. I think the holster I was using for my Pixel XL was for the Note II and it was looser, but too short for my XL 2.
I'd buy it again in a flash.

Me neither.
Thank goodness there's not a case in existence that does that. This case will add a few millimeters in each direction.
Besides, top clamp holsters suck.
So the three of these showed up and I've been trying them out, pretty terrible all around.
1. The case, while on the phone, rattles around in the holster.
2. The buttons are terrible and hard to press when in the case.
3. Several of the edges are poorly finished.
4. It is actually difficult to get out of the holster with one hand. I'm right handed, and keep the phone on my left hip upside down. Trying to get it out of here just sucks.
5. The huge paddle that looks like it clamps the holster to the case doesn't. There are 2 sharp prongs on that clamp that hold onto 2 spots on each side of the holster. These are going to break sooner than later or wear out and bam, no more holster.
I'm going to keep one of them and return the other two. With some foam tape, the rattling will go away, but it is not a good holster. Look elsewhere.
Looks like Seido has the surface/holster combo available. Been using that combo on most of my phones going back aways. Was going to buy the LGV30 but now reconsidering because Seido says they are not making a case/holster combo for it.
