Help with Telstra HTC10 - Upgrading, Modifying and Unlocking

Hi,
i have a Telstra HTC10, it just died on me and, when trying to do factory reset it died even more, now i cannot even access the recovery mode. unfortunately i have S-ON and am unable to get the token to unlock the bootloader, since i am unable to boot to go to settings and allow OEM unlock, so i need the exact same firmware as the on on my phone to flash it with S-on

thanks in advance

[Q] S-OFF and LOCK Bootloader

Please someone help me going back to factory reset with custom rom and also i want to lock bootloader and turn s-off :crying:
I'm totally confused! its showing s-on right now, should i need to s-off it?
I don't think its possible to turn s-on to s-off right now, the phone is still too new with much to explore.
Besides...i think before you need can do any of this stuff, u definitely have to unlock your bootloader.
Anyway, the last few steps that you followed in htcdev in unlocking your bootloader explains how to relock your bootloader. Whether it relocks the factory bootloader lock, that remains to be seen.

How to unroot, lock bootloader and s-off for warranty return

Hi
I need to send my phone back for a warranty repair but I am confused about the exact steps to take.
My phone is currently S-OFF, rooted, has a TWRP recovery installed and has the latest Vodafone (VODAP001) stock rom installed.
What steps and in what order should I act in order to be left with a phone with a LOCKED boot loader (not RELOCKED/TAMPERED), unrooted and S-ON?
The instructions in a particular online link talk of locking the bootloader and then flashing an RUU but I can't find one for my Vodafone variant. (CID: VODAP001)
I have been going round in circles for the last few hours.
At one point I did lock the bootloader and then did the s-on but ended up in a boot loop to the bootloader - (probably because I forgot to unroot?)! Rescued it using the HTC Bootloader unlock code, reset and then rerunning Sunshine for S-OFF.
I can't seem to work out what to do without an RUU file.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Sprint HTC 10 no recovery, s-off bootloader relocked

So I used the htcdev site to unlock my bootloader, then I sucessfully flashed twrp-3.0.3-0_UNOFFICIAL-pme.img. then before I was going to reboot the phone I thought I needed to relock the bootloader, but when I did and restarted the phone it goes to upgrading android for a couple seconds before it pops up a screen saying my phone is encrypted and I need to input the passcode. I put that in and it says" even though I put in the right code my data is corrupted and I need to do a factory reset, which it starts then immediately goes into download mode. I can put it into bootloader but if I try recovery it fails and kicks me back to download mode. So no recovery, and until just recently I could do fastboot commands but not adb. the computer does not recognise the phone, neither does htc sync. Is there a way to unlock the bootloader with the original unlock bin code? I have also tried to send zips of the original ruu hoping I could get into recovery but it wont let me flash recovery with the s-on. Please help me.....

Have you tried the RUU on SD card method to restore the phone?

HTC One M8 always starts into bootloader

Hello guys,
I'm pretty new to the forum, thats why I'm not sure if theres another topic as this one.
Anyway I've bought an HTC One M8 from a guy on the internet. Well, I've received it today and tried to start it. The first thing after the HTC-Boot-Logo is the Bootloader. I've tried to factory reset the phone - didn't help.
Some other information:
Software status: Official
RELOCKED
M8_UL PVT SHIP S-ON
HBOOT 3.19.0.0000
RADIO_INVALID_VER_INFO
OpenDSP_INVALID_VER_INFO
OS-
eMMC-boot 2048MB
Dec 1 2015,17:33:10.0
So, since I can't enter the OS, I don't know how to flash a new OS or a custom recovery. The only thing that works is the bootloader.
I appreciate any help, thanks in advance!

Post the results of fastboot getvar all here and we should be able to figure out the proper firmware/RUU for you to flash. Edit out your IMEI and serial# first before posting it.
Stuck in fastboot is the expected result after relocking the bootloader, as it expects RUU to be run.
Provide the getvar details requested by xunholyx in the previous post, and we can direct you further.
If no RUU for your version, the other option is to unlock the bootloader again, install custom recovery TWRP, and restore a stock TWRP back (or alternately a custom ROM).
But we need more info in order to determine which way forward, what files to use, etc.

run the ruu maybe this can fix your problem . if you flashed ruu and still facing the same problem maybe its your phone battery problem or board issue try to put it on charge then try to turn it on again .

The advice (run RUU, if his version has one) has already been given. It's not value added to give that advice again, until we have more info about the device (getvar data already requested twice); since the OP gave basically zero specific details.

Okay, I tried to flash TWRP and to unlock the bootloader again. nothing worked. And if I want to get more information with getvar there is nothing showing up - it's just loading forever... So I decided to change the Motherboard of my HTC, and well.. Now it doesn't work anymore... But still: thanks for trying to help guys!

Wow, you were probably not justified in trying to replace hardware; and probably an overly hasty decision. It was probably a fairly simple matter to recover via software related solutions. You probably were just not following the steps correctly.

Too late now, it looks like you ruined the phone. But FYI, you can't flash TWRP with a locked bootloader; it's simply impossible. So unlocking the bootloader should have been your main focus.
Fastboot not connecting is usually an easy matter to troubleshoot. Usually a matter of drivers on the PC, or a different cable, different USB port on the computer.
You also can't unlock the bootloader without fastboot. So that was probably the reason why your attempts to unlock the bootloader failed. Again, it probably would have been easy to get fastboot working, then either RUU (after giving us the getvar info); or unlock bootloader and install TWRP.
But probably too late for any of that, now.

HELP! HTC 10 Three UK (H3G__001) Restore to stock

Hi,
I've been handed a HTC 10 locked to the Three network in the UK which has been tampered with and I'm looking to restore the firmware.
I'm not sure what the previous owner has done but the device boot loops when attempting to boot into Android or Recovery with a red warning message quickly appearing.
The device boots into download mode fine, it states it's relocked and S-ON and fastboot seems to function fine but I'm unable to flash anything to the device due to it being locked and S-ON, unable to get into Anroid I cannot enable OEM Unlock to unlock the device again.
I've been hunting the web for HTC 10 H3G__001 RUU but am not able to to find anything anywhere, the unlocked and european versions always fail due to the CID mismatch.
If anyone can provide the RUU for my particular device or point me in the right direction I would be very grateful, HTC support aren't really proving to be any help in providing such.
Just an RUU zip to be placed on the SD so I can restore from the download menu is all I ask.
Thank You!
