Sounds like the download is getting a corrupted file. I would either DL and install the factory image (if BL unlocked) with the -w removed from the flashall file or sideload the OTA (if not unlocked).

sorry mate - im not that techy but knowing me ill probaly brick my phone..what is bl, and -w ????? ...sorry not techy

https://developers.google.com/android/images
Straight from the source with detailed instructions.

Since he is not unlocked, he should sideload the full OTA from here
https://developers.google.com/android/ota

I would recommend a full system install given that you purchased the phone from someone. Wouldn't want anything malicious on the phone that the previous owner might have left in.

yes i would do that but not very techy, its still under warranty for another 15 days i think as i have the receipt, but the back glass is cracked , hence google say warranty is void..seems to reboot all by itself and sometimes just switches off..

i would do that but i dont have a clue as to where and how to do this ?

ok found this site to reflash to factory settings..HERE
ive downloaded the files but dont understand where to put the files, the instructions are below but not sure what they mean..it says "computer’s system partition" ???..is that drive C ?
where do i put the image that ive downloaded...into the folder called " Platform-tools folder"
what about the google usb drivers ?....do i put the actual usb folder or its contents into the "platform-tools folder"?
its confusing ..
what do they mean by this "Go to Platform-tools folder. Here you need to launch a Command Prompt / Terminal window with administrative rights."
how do i do that ?
Here’s how to do it:
Download the Platform-Tools zip corresponding to your computer’s operating system:
– for Windows PC click here.
– for Mac OS click here.
– for Linux click here.
unzip the file after the download is complete.
you will obtain the Platform-Tools files, save them all on your computer’s system partition.
– make sure to leave the Platform-Tools name as the default folder name.
next, download the Google USB drivers from here.
Next you can continue to the tutorial and learn how to flash a factory image for your device.
How to install Android 7.1.2 Factory Image for Google Pixel XL:
Download the Android 7.1.2 Nougat factory image file from here.
Extract the archived contents and save them on your PC.
Place all the extracted files in the Platform-tools folder.
– that’s the folder obtained using the steps above the tutorial.

well..somehow it managed to update to android oreo 8.0......after trying all day, will see how the phone performs...its rebooted byitself once already, dont know if that was because it was installling something but update has been done....still think this phone has some hardware problem as the screen froze when i was entering my google play details.....weird phone...

FAQ:
How to find the ota?
If you're rooted, wait for the device to prompt you to update, then check /cache for the file
If you're not rooted, wait until the same time and do an adb logcat and look for a line with .zip in it
Why isn't the latest ota listed?
We can only list what we have, if the ota from Build X to Build Y isn't listed, we dont have the file for it yet.
How do you setup adb/fastboot
Please read the stickies in the general subforum, this is not a formal guide
Do I need to unlock the bootloader to flash the update zip?
Yes, if you wish to do it manually.
If you allow android to prompt for the update, you do not need to unlock
Can I flash this if I have a custom rom?
No, you must be on a stock AND unmodified rom
Can I flash this if I'm rooted?
Only if you have not modified any files

Kernel source for kitkat-wear Tetra
Oct 17
hi All,
Today, we pushed a kernel project for kitkat-wear release. The kernel source can be found on the android-bcm-tetra-3.10-kitkat-wear branch in the kernel/bcm project. It has the following tags:
android-4.4w_r5 Factory-ROM
android-4.4w_r6 update #1
bill
There will be an ota when the product launches.
When it finally ships, could someone hook it up to wireshark/etherial/fiddler/<preferred network sniffer> and grab the full url name along with the filename of it?
Also could someone not update theirs immediately and dump the rom when a custom recovery is eventually made for it?
The ota for the SM3 is already rolling out, I do not have any information on either the starting rom or the one it flashes to.
no ota yet but firmware update available for me through pc companion (Ive updated..).
is the a way to convert pc companion files into something helpful?
Ive had already pushed and pulled files to watch via bluetooth adb and have installed towelroot via adb - e install.. didn't work as expected hehe. (I haven't bootloader unlocked yet in case there's drm?).
let me know if my pc companion files and rudimentary adb skills can be of assistance ?

fastboot oem unlock works, but make sure to format cache and user data.
How did you grab PC companion files, are they cached on disk or are you intercepted request?
I can force update thru pc companion ~ I presume I can find files somewhere on my pc ? (haven't looked yet, booted into linux atm on dual boot)

Looks like you are from Sony Android world, if Sony update images are something easy to extract boot.img we could get permissive/or tethering root kernel and/or twrp.
I'm still trying to figure out how similar this is to sony phones with the phone it is (relatively) easy to convert ota to ftf, then extract, edit default.prop, put back together and flash as insercure stock kernel. (saying that, I'm reinstalling linux after hd failure and have lost all my sony tools).
I don't think any of this is relevant though as I doubt the sony flashtool for ftf conversion will support android wear.
most likely, somebody better at this than me will pop up a recovery and then we are good I guess.
not sure much can be gained by having root yet anyway hehe (itching to sideload tasker though).
(using a not yet rooted z3 not helping either..)
and sry OP for OT.. started off relevant lol

I dont use/have sony devices, but in the context of being a wear device: the updates should be otas, not done though pc companions.
wear devices are goog devices in all but name, the only thing separating them from nexus devices is the lack of factory images and redistributable binaries.
I doubt it is different, it shows as s1 device w/o driver in download mode and as SEFlash with driver and updates by the same pc companion using phone/tablet repair screen.
There is no need for Sony to reinvent the wheel. It is like Odin on Samsung, version of flashtool might be different but otherwise the same protocol and I bet the same packaging.
Will try to intercept download request.
Ok, no need to intercept, PC Companion caches the files.
Flashtool extracted it into individual sin files, but smartwatch3 is not listed in devices so I would not risk to flash ftf.
Boot.sin and recovery.sin when extracted by flashtool is actually android img files. Just tested fastboot flash boot boot.ext4 (which is android image) and device boots fine after that.
Extracted boot, recovery, system and userdata, will upload together with all sin files soon.
Also, no there is no need to reflash watch using phone/tablet repair menu, Accessories software update -> Smartwatch 3 allows to reflash stock firmware.

You are right in terms of OTA, but as with other devices - there are OTA and factory images, factory images are managed by the Sony (I bet samsung uses it's odin as well) and can be updated to or reflashed using their PC Companion software through sony s1 bootloader that is accessible with powerbutton (read sony download mode).
As soon as my uploads will be done I'll post urls to sony .sin files extracted by flashtool (can be further extracted from .sin container) and already extracted boot.img, recovery.img, system.ext4, cache.ext4 and userdata.ext4.
Will be in Rom dump request thread.
^^ :good:

From the user's perspective it might be semantics, as even for nexus devices: they still respond to OEM download tools.
For the N4 and N5, they both respond to and have LG tools+restore images, they also responds to qcom tools.
The difference is that these tools are not distributed to the public.
the ota system used however is all identical across goog rom devices, and so is goog factory images.
However: if sony provides their own factory images for this, and the original urls are available, I'll make note of it somewhere.
I need the original urls however, reuploads are not acceptable.
I've attempted to catch otas on motorola devices, but they use urls that are unique to the user and expire after a short amount of time, thusly I don't track OEM motorola otas, only otas for the play edition moto g.
Edit: there may be at least 2 otas for the sm3,
android-4.4w_r6 and android-4.4w_r7 are supposed to be for the sm3,
but the previously provided files are newer then android-4.4w_r8.
So it's possible that currently unboxed devices may have jumped from <unknown build>/r6 to r8 and skipped r7

Please verify if you can download it: http://software.sonymobile.com/ns/common/1/file/334/281751334_MkNeOD3-Rt7B0pOu9N5WSVtT.bin
This is main file (second of two) used by sony Update Engine, if you can download it I'll redo repair and capture url of the first one.
The files are:
FILE_281727981 - 90.5Kb
FILE_281751334 - 114Mb (120 155 512 bytes)
I dont know what convention sony uses for the files and directory name but they are usable by flashtool to at least extract the partition files (loaders, kernel, system, etc...). I'll try to get in touch with flashtool devs to produce ftf package to keep all files flashable by flashttol to even downgrade if needed.

How did you get the PC Companion to work? I can't get it past the 'Prepare' screen which tells me to make sure the watch is off, turn it on, wait for animation and connect the usb cable. The watch shows up in Device Manager as 'Tetra' without drivers installed.
^^ power off, usb plug in, usb connect to pc. a graphic of the usb plugged in shows up if done correctly. it was really hit and miss updating via pc companion for me, failed (it seems) 9 out of 10 times and then the 10th would work. (I reflashed stock 3 times now hehe)

bummer I can't update my watch as it has test/debug firmware installed and isn't recognised
Any way to force an update?
not sure how to force, I don't have debug/test firmware. It said I was up to date but allowed me to reflash 'current firmware' (4.4W2 build KNX01V) as a repair install.

Thanks a lot sadfrog_lin for right link
Great Thanks social-design-concepts for Tools and working solution !!!
This was successfully done by me on A5CN507 build. IMO it should work the same good on other versions of Lollipop, but I cannot promise anything.
Prerequisites
I assume that you have Intel Drivers up and running http://opensource.dell.com/releases...ition/FlashTool/IntelAndroidDrvSetup1.5.0.exe
I assume that you have adb/fastboot up and running http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2317790
I assume that you have usb debugging enabled
I assume that yu have a basic knowledge how to use these tools
Installing GApps
Download GApps from this thread. I have used Nano version for Android 5.x, direct link here.
Copy it to your sdcard (any method is fine, but adb will do: adb push <filename> /sdcard/).
Download and extract IntelAndroid-FBRL-05-16-2015.7z.
Connect N1 via USB and run launcher.bat
Type ACCEPT (all capital) and select T4 method.
N1 should reboot and do a lot of things, then you should end up in temporary CWM Recovery session.
Choose install zip (volume up/down + power to select) and find and select the previously uploaded file.
After it finish reboot the tablet
Final fixes
After reboot you should have initial selection of Google Apps (including Play Store) installed. However Play Music will crash on start and GMail won't work (Play Services crashes). The reason for that is that GApps package is probably not fully prepared for x86 - but now you can simply fix it.
Go to ApkMirror and install Google Play services with -470 suffix, it is Lollipop x86 version (on the time of writing this the newest version was here ). Now both Play Music and GMail should work correctly.
An another issue is that Play Store reporting some apps (like Chrome, Google Maps, Google Earth, Chromecast, etc) as incompatible with the device. It probably could be fixed by hacking build.prop, however I haven't had time for it yet. The easiest method is to download them from ApkMirror and side install. Drawback is that you won't get autoupdates for them.
Enjoy!

This really works! Thanks a lot.
After the installation, a few days later I found out that there was an update for N1. I could not make the update successfully. Probably the GAPP issue. So in the end, we still need the Taiwan ROM so far. So that the system update can also be made.
I installed GAPPS, but disabled root(in SuperSU's settings). I can run the OTA update (A5CN51C) successfully.
After the update, "google service is stopped" appears again. I think re-flush GAPPS and SuperSU is needed.
bricked
Hi Guys,
after the issue with the update I started replacing new files with the originals from the previous update. I've checked md5 of every file I used and compared it with update script from the new update - so I'm sure every file was correct. Actually everything was working fine with these original files.
However after the update I got a boot-loop. If I remember correctly it was something abt OpenGL in logcat. I was not able to run recovery by pressing volume up and power, but since adb was working I did it via adb. I came with an idea to clear user data. That was mistake!
Now I still have the boot-loop but developer mode was disabled by cleaning the data. My plan is to reflash with A5CN507 which contains a full system partition image. To do so I need to boot into recovery or download mode.
Do you guys have any ideas how to boot into recovery or download mode if volume up (and down) doesn't work?
Thanks in advance.
Can confirm the boot loop. I was able to get into the CMW session again and tried to restore the backup I made before installing the gapps but CMW got stuck while restoring the system partition.
The device is now stuck in the "Powerd by Android" screen, any help is warmly welcome

Thank you,
I tried that, it didn't work - it says "waiting for device", but it waits forever. As to the Fastboot Tethered recovery launcher, this time I used the one from Jul, 27, before I had an earlier version. Could it be that the older version would work, but not the latest one? It does recognize my device, but it says unauthorized, although it OEM-unlocked and USB debugging is authorized. Thanks for any help.

Does anyone hv better news?
Hi,
so I came back to the problem today - and I managed to unbrick my device. Somehow (vol-up + power) I managed to enter fastboot. Then I rebooted into recovery and sideloaded a full update.zip with 701.

Huawei watch current version, speaker, keyboard

Hello, I got the Huawei 651F watch yesterday (bought from amazon.de) and I wonder which is the latest software version?
I'm running on Android Wear 1.3.0.2421912, Google Play Services 9.4.52, Android OS 5.1.1 . I think there is a new version out (which supports speaker and keyboard), but when I click on "System Update" it says my system is up-to-date!
Any ideas?
Mine is running on Android Wear 1.5.0.xxxxx, Google play services 9.4.52 and Android OS 6.0.1
I've had some trouble to get it updated when I bought it, but it was just a matter of time (I guess until the phone wear app downloaded the wear update)
But, for the keyboard it's only available in Android Wear 2 developer preview...
Thanks for your reply. It seems that I run an older version.
So you just waited until the update? How long?
I don't have to do anything and the watch will update itself? No wi-fi on, no other setting etc?
Make sure watch is fully charged and better put watch on charger when checking for updates and have WiFi enabled
That worked for me...
Thanks for your reply.
Tried it and didn't work for me. It still says system is up to date.
No idea if there is meaning in just waiting. It's an old update right?
Be patient, it will come.
Sent from my Nexus 10 using Tapatalk
Other solution if you don't want to wait is to flash the latest stock version with adb/fastboot
I just wanted to know if there's a meaning in waiting.
In addition after I restart my phone the watch loses the recent contacts list (2 swipes right). How can I get it back?
EDIT: Nevermind, I turned on Bluetooth debugging on the phone only (not in the watch) and restarted the phone and contacts are back. I'm not sure I understand what Bluetooth debugging is or if it had anything to do with it.
I've tried restoring to factory defaults in order to get the 1.5 update with no luck. How can I update from 1.3 to 1.5 manually? Any link would be appreciated.
Here you can find the preview image (android wear 2.0 developer preview) and the original image (named : Non-preview image (for after testing)). Make sure you download Huawei watch image and not the LG one : https://developer.android.com/wear/preview/downloads.html
You'll have to flash the "non-preview image" with adb/fastboot
Still no update, despite checking while charging etc. Is there meaning in waiting?
Could you give me the latest "stable" version, with a detailed guide? I remind you that I have version 1.3, so I need a full version to 1.5, not incremental. Right? I think I need to make changes in the phone too, not only download the version and toolkits.
Don't know why you still don't have the update...
For the latest stable version, it's the one I gave you in my last post. The guide to flash it is detailed under the links. Don't worry, it's a full 1.5 version.
You need to have SDK manager (in order to install and use adb/fastboot), but nothing have to be done on your phone (just unpair the watch) : everything else is done from the charger connected to your computer
Thanks.
I meant the watch, not the phone.
So I download the non preview image? The links you provided are for some version 2.0 of wear, not 1.5?
Yes the non-preview is wear 1.5 : Google give this image as a way to revert back to a stable release after testing the wear 2.0 developer preview. In your case, you can just flash it to manually update to official wear 1.5
Sorry for my persistance but I have no experience with android wear plus flashing a watch. Could you check the versions in the screenshots and tell me if it's ok to proceed?
I have to download and flash the following image?
sturgeon-mec23l-factory-48003078.tgz
MD5: 417b5cbddb29a2262bce133e283d2732
SHA-1: 4800307843580f818557dd7c43d8ba2161e289b2
I believe the guide is missing some instructions, in example it says to download and unzip the image, but it doesn't say copy the file in the watch. Don't I have to download the file in my computer, unzip it there, then transfer it to the root directory of the watch? Or like in the phones, you have to transfer the zip file to the device you want to upgrade?
Thanks again.
No problem, but you'll see that in fact, phone or watch, it's very similar !
Yes, this is the good one to download : sturgeon-mec23l-factory-48003078.tgz
About your screenshots, it's ok : it's not an update, it's a full system image which will wipe everything during install (so you could install it on the top of every wear version). I just read again the guide, there is nothing missing : the "flash-all" script is in fact composed of several "adb" commands which will push and install bootloader, rom, recovery, ... as you would had done with a nexus device (exactly the same process).
I think you was thinking about installing it with TWRP, but it's not a zip file as a custom rom.
So I download the file and unzip it in the watch or in my pc?
Furthermore, I don't undestand the following:
"Confirm installation of the fastboot tool
To flash a device using one of the system images, confirm that you have the fastboot tool in the platform-tools/ directory of the Android SDK. Be sure that you have the latest version of the Android SDK Platform-tools from the SDK Manager.
After you confirm that you have the fastboot tool, add the tool to your PATH environment variable so the tool can be found when you flash the watch."
I've download ANDROID STUDIO 2.1.3, but can't find where the platform-tools/directory is? I clicked on Configure -> SDK Manager and installed Android 7, 6, 5.1, 5. I don't know if it was needed...
The part that you don't understand is about adb/fastboot utility which are needed to push the file and install them on your watch. Anyway, you said that you installed Android Studio (it was not really needed) but adb/fastboot is automaticaly installed with it ! So it's a good point.
First, you'll have to search for your sdk folder. Usually it's located in : "C:\Users\<--user name-->\AppData\Local\Android\sdk". There is inside a folder "platform-tool" which contain among all the files adb.exe and fastboot.exe
Then, unzip the tarball (sturgeon-mec23l-factory-48003078.tgz) in this folder. Then Shift + Right-click in the background of the folder and select "open a command window there" (or something like that, my computer is not in english).
Finaly, follow the guide :
2. Attach the watch charger to the watch and plug the USB cord (from the charger) into your computer.
3. Use the following adb command to confirm that the watch is available for flashing: adb devices
4. Use the following adb command to start the device in fastboot mode: adb reboot bootloader
5. Unlock the device's bootloader. This step erases all data on the device: fastboot oem unlock
On the watch, select the Unlock option.
6. Issue the command: flash-all.bat
7. Optionaly, you can lock again your bootloader by the command: fastboot oem lock
Found it thanks.

Frixx_x thanks a lot mate, I've updated the phone as described. Still the version in the link you gave me is Android Wear 1.4 (6.0.1 Android), not 1.5. If I don't see it updating in the next days is there a way for 1.5?

[Q] Where is the ROM being downloaded to my phone?

I just downloaded to my XT1575 and I don't know which directory it downloaded to? Any ideas?

Thank You.
There is no folder /app_updates. There is just a folder named "files", but this folder is completely empty.
By the way: I got this file structure on my G4: \Android\data\org.lineageos.updater\files.
I had to manually download the package and install it manually in recovery, but the updater says still to update the current version.

The updater does not recognize what version is installed, just if the update is in the folder.

If this is reduced to this single folder I can say that my G4 has no folder with this name.
The download completed and the updater asks for updating the unit.
The G4 restarts into recovery mode and nothing happens. Manual search for the downloaded files have not been successful.
I restarted my G4 and searched manually with root rights (just to be sure the files are not hidden in non root search) and I could not find any update file.
The lineage updater still shows to update the phone, even that there whether is a folder named "/data/org.lineageos.updater/app_updates"
nor a file in the "\data\org.lineageos.updater\files.
So... is this an issue with the updater, ROM or is this just not implemented complete?
I have no issues to manually install anything by console or TWRP or what ever else.
Once again: The update file(s) seem to be lost in transit. They are not stored on the system.
The updater still shows the install button even if there is nothing to install.

Are you sure you are looking in the right folder? Your stated path shows :
"\data\org.lineageos.updater"
Was that just a typo?
This where it is in my device:
"/data/data/org.lineageos.updater/app_updates" (note the nested "data" in "data")
Also, I think that if it shows "install" it means that it has been downloaded (and exist), otherwise it would show "download".

Shame on me... I searched with root rights and could not find the folder.... Seems I need new glasses.
But the folder is there and yes, the download is in there.
So single issue is, why the updater does not call the update automatically for flashing the update.

Hmmm... TWRP should be able to handle the script created by the updater. You may want to check on the G4 forum to see if others have the same issue.

the guys in the G4 forum are mostly connected to the unofficial version. a complete manual installation is required.
But there are some rumors in the German forum, who are using the official LineAgeOS version, where the updater script is not working.
I´ll wait for the next update in a week... may be it´s just a minor issue which will be fixed soon.
is it possible to change that path?
The path *HAS* been changed.
It's now downloading OTA updates to /data/lineageos_updates
Which a pain in the ass, because TWRP already doesn't automatically handle the script as expected on my Note3, and, I'd already gotten used to having to go to /data/data/org.lineageos.updates.

Now, if I can just get the attention of whoever the device maintainer is, for the Note3, to figure out the TWRP scripting issue...

Here is donwload links to all the Odin file. Credit to the member who uploaded it. Which should bring you to pj1 directly

I can look for it tomorrow. I'm not familiar with S6E+ at all, i just find update because one of the member ask me if i can. I have no idea what is ladest available firmware for your devices. But like i said i can look for it.
Clicking from Edge of Galaxy
Seems edge+ (and probably note 5) got huge upgrade in Android 7 update. Including performance mode which is not available to gs6.
So far I noticed and worth to mention.
Camera UI renewal
Performance mode
New function from nougat, notification panel and night mode
All the Samsung app seems all redesigned
Display render resolution can be changed between 720p, fhd and wqhd
Battery is better especially for standby time
Great job from Samsung this time
