Hello,
I am a nexus 5x user and I have my eis enabled via modified build prop.
But when using the application filmic pro the stabilization is unavailable for nexus 5x.
So is there a way to unlock the stabilization for the device?
Also the 60fps settings for 1080p recording is also disabled. Any work around for this?
Thank you in advance

MIUI camera and moto camera can use video stabilization, so how can Google camera also use video stabilization in video recording?
Only way for now to have proper stabilization is to use MIUI ROM with MIUI camera and 1080p video recording. I have tried everything to enable 4K EIS but no luck. Even using open camera app and build prop edits for eis did not give any results. I am wondering how the heck SD625/636 devices like Redmi Note 5 (pro) can have EIS on 4k using open camera on stock MIUI ROM? Can anyone port MIUI camera from those devices, or what files to replace to enable EIS in open camera that actually works ?

That do not change anything worth mentioning, no meter what ROM or APP are you using. True, you get switch to enable Video Stabilization in Google Camera app, but that EIS do not work not even close like on Pixel. Already tried that and also tried this:
# Camera
persist.camera.eis.enable=1
persist.camera.is_type=4
persist.camera.gyro.android=4
persist.camera.tof.direct=1
persist.camera.tnr.preview=1
persist.camera.tnr.video=1
still we do not have proper EIS like in 1080p in MIUI ROM, or Redmi Note 5/pro with open camera. So there is something else involved. Do anyone have idea how to port EIS like on RN 5 Pro, Pixel, One Plus?
The only stabilisation I have seen on custom ROMs is with the Snap camera, but that only supports 30fps recording.

I don't know exactly. How did you test it? What is a good way of recording a footage to see it?
4k 30fps and 1080p 30fps, too shaky. For example RN5 with open cam is so smooth and stable in 4k 30fps, even better than 1080p on stock miui on Mi5s.
We have hardware supporrt and capability, but Xiaomi did not implemented EIS on this phone, just like Mix2s with SD845. So this is just a software thing.

I am a Mi 5S user and I love to make videos with the phone. I use Filmic Pro to shoot videos in 4K24fps and use Adobe Premiere to stabilize my videos.
It's interesting to do with videos that you really want to have in a portfolio, for example.
Here is a video that I made with Mi 5S(with Filmic Pro in 4k24fps) and edited with Premiere.

But in Miui videos are stabilized
Yes, but only in 1080p.

Wanted to kick off the conversation about enabling high frame rate video recording on the Pixel 3. I just found out the Pixel 3 supports 1080p 120 FPS rear camera video recording. It's even advertised in their camera specs.
The Google Camera APK currently only supports 30fps or "Auto", which is god awful as it fluctuates FPS and doesn't even reach ~55 FPS in bright settings. Aside from enabling a constant 60 FPS option (like the Pixel 2), is there a way to enable the 120 FPS setting as well? Would this require a custom ROM that changes the Pixel 3 source code, or is the only thing necessary a patched APK of Google Camera? I'm wondering if it's also possible to do this through a Magisk module.
Happy to hear any ideas on how we all could enable 60/120 FPS as the hardware clearly supports it. Furthermore, the Snapdragon 845 supports 4K 60 FPS recording. This makes me believe that it may be even possible to enable 4k 60 FPS which would be amazing. It's really unfortunate we have to revert to an awful 30 FPS for 1080p recording after the Pixel 2 had a 60 FPS option. Thanks in advance.
this doesn't belong here
you should ask this to be moved to general

I also think its possible. The Hardware is definitely ready for this.
On my old Nexus 5X there were some guys that enabled 1080p/60fps through some edits of the camera lib's. Maybe this will happen too on the P3XL.
Also the Snapdragon 845 is listed with up to 2.8GHz but Google decided to ship the P3 with
2.5GHz but that is another point.
Maybe im wrong

That is correct the 845 goes up to 2.8 ghz and Google under clocked it to 2.5 but a custom kernel can easily fix that. I upped mine back to 2.8 and still have great battery life.
hope Google will fix it
Guys google isn't going to do this.
So who'll build that Mod?

Yea I was hoping Google would include the 60 FPS video recording option on the Pixel 3 with their monthly updates but so far nothing. After this sparse January 2019 Pixel 3 update (only audio fixes) I've lost some hope that Google will ever add these high frame rate options. It's a real shame that the Pixel 2 can record at a constant 60 FPS, while the Pixel 3 cannot.
where is camera mod enabling this for stock?
Make the P3xl Camera Great Again
I'm also in support of this mod. Anyone aware of a dev working on this that I can track/follow?
Maybe we could motivate the dev of the Mod for the Pocophone to give it a try? ?
There is even a new magisk module for Samsung exynos devices to activate [email protected] So I would be surprised if it were impossible for our Pixel.
I tried to edit some xml lol but it doesn't let me save the changes

Sadly I'm miles away from being a dev
Hello
Does anyone know if there is any way to get EIS in 4k while recording video? I tried on GCam and other external applications but it doesn't work. I saw that there are some mods for Poco F1 that activate EIS in 4k but I didn't find anything on Redmi Note 8 Pro, and it seems to me that it can be done with software, especially since older models had this option. I don't know why the manufacturer didn't add this option here. Video in 1080 looks tragic, and if 4k had EIS it would be perfect.
Hi,
is there any Gcam mod (or other camera app) that enables 4k60 recording?
Nope, Snapdragon 778G doesn't support 4k60.
Ok, thanks.
I also noticed (after upgrading to Android 12, MIUI 13), when I select video stabilization in 4k30 mode it automatically changes recording to 1080p30. Before upgrading 4k30 EIS was working fine.

i'm trying to record a slow-motion video in my own app for xiaomi 13 pro. camera2 gives a bunch of available modes (i need [email protected] in particular), but neither of them works. what's the issue here and how can i fix it?
