First off. This isn't a development thread and doesn't belong in this subforum
You don't need a tool to unpack xiaomi roms if you're looking to get the recovery. Xiaomi provides fastboot packages that have the recovery image available with no complex extraction required.
http://en.miui.com/a-234.html
Rename the extracted file to have a .tar extension and extract that to obtain all the images for the partition including the stock recovery you're looking for.

Hi,
I have downloaded HTC one V 2.09.720.1 souce code from HTC and compiled. Now I have Zimage which should be similar to the one in the phone. I need the tools and instructions how to combine the zimage with the ramdisk.img and flash it into the phone. sounds simple but i couldn't find the specific instructions for this specific phone.
If any one can point me to a link where i can learn the basics of handling image files it will be aprreciated.
thanks
Romah

It's a Dev Db project so, you may have to see the online version, instead of from the app. I've added a link to redirect there.
I think so, yes. But i don't think it will do any good. AFAIK, ota can't be done if you have an unlocked bootloader.

i would like to request a similar tool for kernel which could easily backup and restore kernels on our phone.
only if your time permits and if you believe it would be useful.

Hello guys,
I am looking for the latest stock firmware for T805 from France (T805XXU1ANH1) as a flashable zip file for TWRP recovery.
I am looking for this because if there would be a zip file I could delete bloated apps and modify zip file prior to flashing. I could also simply flash this zip file over my current installation without loosing all data.
Would be cool if anybody can help, otherwise I have to flash this firmware again from the bottom via Odin if I got some errors, FC's and so on :good:
Regards
Just use the debloated rom from edan.
Thanks but this ROM is for 705, not 805

Hello everybody,
I just got a lg e980 from my dad, it's from at&t and it comes stock with all their apps and rom.
I do not need the at&t functionality because I'm on a whole other continent but it's a decent phone and I'd like to use it.
Can i just follow one of the rooting guides, root, custom recovery and rom? Or am I missing something here that will render the phone useless?
I'd appreciate help on it.
Thanks
Niamul

Potentially yes. Be aware that the guided to follow differs from which version of stock rom you start from. In any case download the kdz files and the flashing tool in case you need to go back to stock.

Just reflash the rom.
No offense, but you probably should not flash at all if you do shenanigans with your phone...

Thanx but may I know from where u have extracted the apk?
If oos is a zip file can't you just use a file explorer or windows explorer to go into the zip and pull the apk out from there?
