When I make a phone call nobody has been able to hear me for two days. Just now when I did an OK Google voice command it didn't respond to my voice. I'm on the Beta 8.1.0 release. Any ideas what going on?

Been seeing posts about the microphones stop working and blowing in them making them work again.
My first phone acted this way, did an RMA for the issue. Haven't seen it with the new phone.

Have you tried resetting? If you have, does it still do it?
If so, maybe take it back and ask for an exchange. It shouldn't do what you're describing.
Good luck!
Nope I won't exchange this unlocked bad boy. Maybe a reset but it hadn't happened yet

Ahhhh I see, yeah I wouldn't either
Hopefully a reset will work for you if/when you try it!
*EDIT* wait but if you reset, will you lose your unlock?

You didn't mention that. That is a problem. Flash a stock ROM. See if that helps.

No, you wouldn't. To lock, you do fastboot oem lock. Also, if he still has his unlock token, he can always re-unlock.

It has inadvertently turned off data use. Mine did the same thing. Flip it into airplane mode, flip it off. I hope the bugs I am finding get fixed along with signal and battery life.
I've unlocked mine and some icon's have randomly moved screens. Not sure whats up with that.
Also today on my drive home I got the wonderful Droid DNA faint ringing thing (Google it). I'm assuming it was a temp warning? as the phone was warm since I was using google maps, streaming pandora, and taking some pictures of the sights every once in a while, all while it was plugged into the car charger.
Annoying thing is it wasn't just out of the handset. the constant faint ringing goes through bluetooth audio also so my pandora and navigation CONSTANTLY has this stupid ringing going on.
I disabled fastboot and shut it down when I got on a road that I needed to stay one for 100+ miles to cool off, powered back on and didn't do as much at the same time (Switched to my iPad to stream pandora) and it seemed to work fine for the next 5 hours. still not doing it as of now.
Anyone have anymore info on that faint ringing?
Wondering if this is a bug or just not something the ONE is capable of.
Focusing well, especially in Macro Mode. My previous HTC phones focused as close as 2 or 3 inches. My ONE has to be at least 8+ to focus.
I grab my phone this morning and there is an update. Anybody know what this update is? On Verizon by the way.
Some wifi fixes
You'll find your answer here:
http://www.droid-life.com/2016/10/1...orrow-build-nde63p-improve-wifi-connectivity/
I turned off auto updates for a while while we wait to see if anyone gets hope of unlocking. Might not be able to unlock if updated.

Hi there,
I'll be visiting London next week and was wondering if there's an official Google store or perhaps somewhere else where I can get some hands on time with the Pixel 2 XL? Preferably around Oxford St.
Thanks!
Anyone?
We walked past the Oxford Street EE store today and I spied a Google stand with a Home, 2 XL and 2 on, if that helps!

I'll more than likely be walking past again over the next two days, and I'll more than likely pop in to have a look, so I'll double confirm.

Just curious, how did the rest of you prevent pocket dialing? Am I the only person that does this regularly? In the past, I've used an app called call confirm. Works great. However it doesn't seem to play nice with Android 8.0. And wondering if there any other Alternatives out there

i have to admit, this made me lol.
Now that's a hoot!
If you use Google voice you can set it to ask which number to use before dialing. The device number or google voice number. This adds a step before dialing. Can't tell you how many times i find the phone at that screen.
I've noticed with the squeeze feature that my phone gets trigged by that a lot in my pocket and it ends up in some app or some kind of google search. It happens so much that I'm about to turn that feature off.
Have some security at the lock screen and maybe you should turn off trusted devices and locations.

You have have some tight pockets? That's a pretty strong squeeze needed at that setting if it's getting triggered without you going for the phone.

Ha no. My pockets are loose. I just turned off double tap to wake today too. I'm thinking it may be that and not the squeeze feature that's causing my phone to wake up.

That could be more likely especially if you have the screen facing towards your leg.

Yeah I do. I think it's that combined with smart Lock on body detection turned on. I've been messing with settings all day trying to get it to stop.

Smart Lock body section sounds like that is the problem. Just use fingerprint unlock without the body detection.
just turn the screen of the phone outward away from the body
So I have scam ID enabled on my account, #664#
But so far not a single scam call got flagged.
When I had my pixel "scam likely"would show up without me looking to do anything
T-Mobiles excuse / solution was for me to add the numbers to their list.
Has anybody seen it work?
