camera glass protector replacement ? - LG V20 Accessories

I didnt even know there was a protector around the camera. using it a while and slipping in my pants, over time, it moved it slightly from its place, henced I noticed it and now dust has got in and no longer is adhesive.
Id like to get the same one..NOT a tempered glass kind that covers the camera lens. just something that sits around it.
much appreciated

Check this website out. I think this is what you mean. You will see at the top, [Back] | [Upper/Lower] | [Camera] | [Front]
Choose [Camera] and pick which skin you want. It is .95 cents with $5 shipping if that is all you want. You can choose multiple colors and styles at .95 that's not bad.

Martin Fields Screen Protector.
Available on ebay.
Thanks !
What about these overlay strips as shown on E Bay at £3 or £4 each are there any decent makes of overlays worth trying.
I am not to keen on trying " adhesive protective screens" just yet.
OK guys and gals - just got a Martin Fields Overlay Plus - -hope it's easy to fit !!
Any suggestons ?
AAAGH !!! What a nightmare to fit !!
After 4 tries ( and washing with water each time ! ) I got it to look ok with a few tiny bubble like marks.
THey are not really bubbles - it's where the drops of water dried and left residue marks.
Oh well at least the screen is protected now.
So - is there a way of getting the overlay CLEAN ??
I tried swilling under the tap and cleaning it with my fingertips - then dry with hairdryer - but still get these little circles left on the overlay - like tiny dried up drops of water ??
I didn't fancy buying online without seeing the product first and couldn't find a retailer with anything specific to the xda2i. In the end I bought a pack of Covertech protectors sized for the TomTom Go. These are about 1mm undersize all round, but durable and anti reflective. Quality looks much better than the screen protectors sold by o2.
Any other suggestions for cleaning and drying the overlays?
Still struggling - any ideas ?
used to order online for nushield screen protectors; cost around...9.95 for 3 pieces if i remember correctly. no adhesives and it simply slides under the flaps of the front screen.
then saw a similar thread in this forum regarding screen protectors and this chap uses transparencies. you know; the ones where you can print or write on and project them on a screen. here in the office we use our laptops connected to projectors for our presentations but we do have an old fashioned transparency projector to act as backup. so what i did was took a used screen protector, placed it on a transparency and cut to the exact size. so now i no longer order screen protectors online...using transparencies i can change my screen protectors anytime i want; heck you can change them everyday
my 2 pence
Thanks a lot Robson.

Steinheil anti-fingerprint vs ultra clear

Can anyone chime in? I did search and found that these seem to be the best available, but didn't find a comparison.
Do they both work the same in sunlight? or is there an advantage to the matte anti-fingerprint version?
I don't like having to find a shady spot when I'm outside to see what's on my screen
I have the ultraclear on and love it. Great in the sun and fingerprints show.up less then the glass I would just get ultra clear

I've owned both for various phones and am currently using the Ultra Clear on my EVO:
Ultra Clear
Pros:
1. Ultra clear
2. Reduces fingerprinting compared to the naked screen
3. Very durable/scratch resistant
4. Very smooth feel, to me it feels just like the naked glass.
Cons:
1. Fit is not 100% perfect, it leaves a small gap all around it.
2. Still shows fingerprints (though less)
Anti-fingerprint
Pros:
1. Reduces fingerprinting drastically compared to the naked screen
2. Very durable/scratch resistant
3. Nice textured feel
Cons:
1. Reduces the clarity of the screen substantially, IMO so much so that I prefer not to use this protector for this reason alone.

Martin Fields is the very best. It even includes a camera lens protector. However it is very expensive.
I know its offtopic a little but what about bodyguardz?
I really cant find a difference between most but i know invisible shield is VERY Thick.

I know some people swear by Bodyguardz and I have used it on other devices. However it is a wet application product like Invisibleshield and more than one EVO user has claimed that water from the install ruined their phone. Therefore on my screen I will only use static application (water free) protectors such as the Steinheil or Seidio.
Besides for that how does it hold up to the other ones???
Docprego - thanks for the detailed comparison. Was ready to order the ultra clear until I read about the Martin Fields. (Thanks jerryparid)
The Martin Fields comes out to $27 shipped though! Pretty steep...
What I like about this one is the included camera lens protector. The aluminum ring around the camera lens is flush with the glass, which makes no sense. If they wanted to protect the glass, they should have recessed the glass into the aluminum ring a little bit.
Anyone know of a company selling just a small circle to cover the lens? Does the lens protector distort or reduce photo quality in any way? Thanks!
i got the Steinheil ultra clear and i found the resulting tactile response to be a bit worse than some of the other screen protectors i've tried, ie. sprints

I do not feel that the film reduces photo quality. It is crystal clear and glass-like. The cut is near perfect. However, Martin Fields does not offer the best performance under the sun (compared to anti-glare protectors).
I got the Steinheil Ultra Crystal Screen Protector from the SGP Store. I'll tell you, for $16.74 ($13.99 + $2.75) at the door, nothing can beat this excellent product.
Ordered online Sunday morning. Order was shipped on Monday and I got it today, Thursday.
Yes, I will confess it was a pain in the a** to get it right, not so much because of it being difficult to apply, but because I made the mistake to peel off the protector and then leave it like that for a while while double checking the instructions and videos in YouTube. What happened is that small lint particles floating in the air got stuck to the film, so when I applied it I had multiple pieces all over my screen.
Now, I must say, the provided "dust remover" stickers DO WORK. Use one to lift the film, another one to remove the particles adhered to the inside of the film or screen. (I kept 2 stickers on each corner of the film, since I had to peel from different angles. This saved me a lot of time.)
In my case, I just had so many it was totally exhausting to get them all out. But I did a pretty good job despite the initial setback. I was very meticulous and wanted it as perfect as possible, and I am happy to say that at the end it came out just like I wanted.
Also, I was a little worried after reading some of the posts here, regarding lower responsiveness to the touch. Well, I have ZERO issues with that. I am very impressed, actually. I can barely tell the protector is there, yes, it is ULTRA CLEAR indeed. Everything works just as it was before, to the slightest touch.
And since I am using the protector along with a black TPU case, it is virtually IMPOSSIBLE to tell there is a film covering the screen, because you cannot see the edges of the film. (The film is slightly smaller in dimensions than the actual screen, but it does cover the whole face, including buttons on the bottom.)
Overall, very pleased and happy. I recommend this product to everybody.

PS - I can't say much about glare under sunlight, since it is night time over here right now... But if anybody wants to know, I can update this thread tomorrow.

Camera lens protector for the Galaxy S3

Been hunting around ebay/google looking for a screen protector for the lens of the Galaxy S3.
So far I have one of the SGP old Galaxy S lens protectors which kind of fits. I've had the phone three weeks and this lens protector already is a bit scratched. So I feel a proper fitting one might be useful.
What I've found so far:
Martin Fields:
http://www.martinfields.com/JP/Martin-Fields-Overlay-Plus-Screen-Protector-Samsung-Galaxy-S-III-
+ Heard reasonable reviews.
- Expensive.
- Only one lens protector in the kit? Two in the kit.
Rock:
http://www.miniinthebox.com/perfect...ctor-for-samsung-galaxy-s3-i9300_p344489.html
(also on ebay)
+ Cheap
+ Comes with 9 lens protectors
- Looks like the lens protectors come in different sizes and are round.
iMak:
http://www.cbay.co.nz/iMak Ultra Crystal Film for Samsung Galaxy S3
+ Cheap
+ Comes with properly fitted lens protector
- What the hell is cbay?
Nillkin:
http://forum.lowyat.net/topic/2373012/all
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Nillkin-ANT...464?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item4604de3258
+ Cheap
- Forum post says it comes with a lens protector, ebay doesn't mention it.
Edit: looks like it might include it.
- eBay versions do not include the lens protector.
Best Skins Ever:
http://www.bestskinsever.com/samsung-galaxy-s3-skin
+ Fairly cheap
+ They're the best skins... ever? ;D
- One lens protector included
- polyurethane - (orange peel?)
Cut your own:
http://your scissors .com
+ Cheap
- Accuracy
- Effort
Anyone seen or tried any other protectors that come with a camera lens protector also?
And I know it'll slightly degrade picture quality. Not really important to me - I'd rather a scratch free lens and the ability to put the phone in my pocket.
Best Skin Ever full body skins also includes one lens protector per set IINM.
Not sure how polyurethane film (BSE) is gonna influence pictures taken vs a piece of thin plastic though (normal SPs).
I just cut up a screen protector and stuck it over the lens and works as well as anything I could buy.
Stick a piece of clear scotch tape.
I just cut up one of my SGP Ultra Nano Clears for my GSIII. There a 3 pack and only needed one so..
In the past I've used the cutouts from the bestskinever full body skins. Apply wet for best results applying pressure with your finger for a short while so it sits firmly on the lens and metal trim around the lens without lifting at the joint. After a short curing time, gently rub it smooth with your finger or cleaning cloth to remove any fingerprint indentations left behind. .
They worked great. They're precut, No orange peel effect, smooth and I didn't notice any alterations to photos ASLONG AS YOU TAKE CARE OF IT. The problem is that since the material is soft, you have to be weary of where you place your phone down. It can show indentations and such which can alter your photos.

Depends on how deep your scratches are, but for the most part yes.

Thee Best Screen Protector!!!

Hey guys! Just thought I'd share my experience trying to hunt down the best screen protector for my Galaxy S10e.
After trying about 4 different glass protectors all with pinch hole camera cut outs and being dis satisfied with the look and feel of the edges I decided to try one that came with a solid glass that covered the front entirely. It also had a super thin black boarder that I wasn't entirely convinced I was going to like.
Turns out it is AMAZING!! Phone looks literally as if there is nothing on. Edges are completely smooth so no more scratchy feeling whenever I slide my finger to use the edge display or gesture navigations.
Totally felt I had to share this! You can search for it on Amazon! :highfive:

Share the name and link maybe? Is it case friendly? Do the black edges cover up some screen or leave everything visible as before?
The same?

Sorry wasn't sure if I could share a link i just added it to the OP. Yes it is case friendly and I belive the black border covers a super small part of the screen that is a fraction of a millimeter. When using edge lighting all you need to do is increase the thickness a bit.
However it does not get in the way at all and from my experience it is way better than other screen protectors I have tried that have transparent as they reflect the light at angles. Also the borders look terrible during the day, you can clearly trace it with your eye. This one literally reflects no light and looks like if there is nothing on it at all (the black border provides this effect)
Furthermore, this one comes with a plastic frame that makes placement and alignment such a breeze!
Hope that helps!

I think Skinomi is regular plastic, spray. Maybe I missed it but I can't find temper glass made by Skinomi.

If anyone wants to order from Aliexpress, CHYI brand always made great screen protectors, either hidro, film, tempered... I might try them out on the s10E soon.

Tried this because of your recommendation (and after trying 5 different "perfect" protectors) - it is really great and totally worth the money! Thanks, pal
Got the Nillkin glass protector -> https://www.nillkin-case.com/index.php?route=product/product&product_id=6425
It's covering the whole display, with black borders around it(they eat 1-2mm from the actual display).
Very happy about it. Bought it at a locat shop with about 20 euros.

I Love this screen saver
amFilm for Samsung S10e by TechMatte
Very easy install with alignment tool, nice squeegee tool got all the bubbles out. Looks excellent after install was complete. Will update in a few days to see how it look after a few days of use but so far so good. Was probably the easiest Tempered glass screen saver I have ever installed, very satisfied
Bought this exact screen protector because I wanted something inexpensive and without a cam cutout (I'd rather deal with an additional layer of glass on a front camera I anyway never use than with dust piling up in a tiny cutout). Well, I don't share OP's enthusiasm. A corner started to shatter appart after only a week, and I didn't even drop it or anything. It was in the same pocket as my lighter which might be the culprit but c'mon, if it can't handle a lighter and turns into a H8 shards dispenser that soon, how is it supposed to prevent scratches on the screen ?
Another corner got damaged after a 50cm (metric FTW) drop on wooden floor and I decided to get rid of it altogether.
It's cheap, it's easy to apply, it looks good (although the black border overlaps the screen by maybe half a millimeter), and it might last a bit longer for someone less careless than I am, still not a viable long term option according to me.

Sucks you had a bad experience with it. So I ended up reaching out to them after myself finding my screen protector had cracked and they sent me another one for free.
It probably isn't the strongest screen protector but it's cheap, easy to install, and looks great! It's TRUE the protectors with the hole punch are a haven for dust and just look hideous in general.
If you stumble across a better screen protector I'd love to hear about it! Perhaps I'll try it out next if this one tanks on me again
Cheers!

I should receive one from LK in a couple days, let's see how it holds. I cannot ask for a replacement, I'm french and they offer replacement only in america, but this time there's 3 in the package.
Does the amFilm protector black edge cover visible part of the screen like Nilkin does? Nilkin protector black sides cover also OLED visible screen (half mill on each side).

Compilations: Tempered Glass & Film Screen Protectors

I wanted to create a thread for people to share feedback and recommend screen protectors they've tried or currently use.
The OMOTON 3 pack I purchased is quite good.
About $8, comes with an easy to use alignment frame. Coverage is great while leaving enough room for a case. Corner radius of the glass pretty much matches that of the screen bezel too.
Installation was easy.
I only wish there was a cutout for the camera but quality seems unaffected.
Here's a full unboxing & install
My LK tempered screen and camera protector has a front camera cutout, as well as a cutout for the mic on the rear camera module.
It's pretty cheap on Amazon, comes with 3 pairs of screen protectors and camera protector, an alignment tool, cleaning pads, dust removal stickers, and squeegee. Install is easy.
While the edges are all rounded over, they could stand to be rounded over a bit more for the front screen protector. The transition between the body of the phone and the screen (protector) isn't very smooth (although I expect that once I put my phone in a case, this won't be a problem).

THANK YOU! I went to this thread because I forgot the brand name that was suggested on a Reddit thread, and I looked it up and thought I had bookmarked it but no I didn't, and thought I would find it here. i didn't even have to look for it. It's in the OP
The zagg screen protector seems to suck... Touch sensitivity is garbage and the camera cutout has the glue too close the edge so it collects a massive amount of dust
