Hi folks,
I'm on my way to unlock rSAP on p2a42. Actually i found a half-working solution with QPST but EFS Explorer crashes with a Runtime error upon opening sap_security _restrictions file. So the problem is in current modem version.
Now i'm using AOSP Extended v4.6 with i believe latest modem version. I wanted to flash "P2a42_S048_161111_ROW_fastboot" but i found that it might kill a modem and notwise downgrade a modem.
So, is there somebody who can give me a clue what to do now?

hey guys,
i'm just wondering if KNOX comes along when you update modem version to XXUBMJ7 by flashing only NON-HLOS.bin (not the rest of the rom!). Is it safe to do so? Anyone already tested this?
I want to update modem, because reception with my I9195 is really bad...At the moment i have modem version XXUAMH4.
THX for any help!
Nobody tried or has any informations about that???
I can confirm now that flashing modem to newest version is possible without getting Knox
Ah and here is the screenshot...
is the reception better with the new modem?
I think so, but i'm still testing. Perhaps tomorrow i can tell you more
Hey guys I am veeeery new to flashing and stuff so i tried to get baseband I9195XXUBMJ7 on my phone and have I9195XXUCNK1 right now (I think).
I followed a step by step guide on how to use Odin and I had no error messages coming up but when i checked in the system infos it said Baseband: unknown and in an app I got to SimUnlock it said Bootloader: I9195XXUCNK1 (I guess that's my current baseband)
I could really need some help and you seem to really know what to do
Best regards
Hello.
I have the SGH-M919 with the following details:
Android version: 4.2.2
Baseband version: M919UVUEMK2
Kernel version: 3.4.0
Build number: M919UVUAMDB
This is after using various guides to rooting, getting rid of the SIM lock, changing the baseband version and reverting it.
Right now the phone works, I can make calls and the sound is fine. However, I can't turn Wi-Fi on. Thus, I have a few questions:
Is there a way to fix Wi-Fi on my phone?
Will upgrading to 4.3 be worth it, or will there be any risks?
Will upgrading/flashing a new (stock) rom bring back the SIM lock, or am I done with that?
Thanks.
1) there are several ways. You can start by downgrading your modem to its original since you are still on older firmware and see if that works
2) not very risky, just make sure you know about Knox and all that
3) Nope, unlocked for good
Thanks!
I'm so happy to know that it's gone for good. That means I could probably just flash a stock 4.3 rom and get the matching modem with it, and hopefully have wi-fi working, right?

Hi
i updated my t211 to kit kat by an official firmware of samsung. after that i encountered a problem. when i want to call this message appears:
not registered on the network
i tried to downgrade but the imei and serial became null
i tested some modem.tar file that i have found on one of gsm sites
i flashed a multi(4) file firmware on the device with the pit file
i tried another version of firmware by my locale!
but the problem still exists. it is more than a week i am trying to find a solution! but nothing ....
can anyone help me with that?
I've searched too much and i found that in SGS3 or SGS4 or some other devices there is some patched modem and kernels that solves this kind of problem, but i couldn't find anything about T211.
I don't know anything more!
can anybody provide me a nandroid back up or efs backup?
Hello I'm currently running 4.4.2 with root and I've been thinking about upgrading to marshmallow. I just wanted to know whats the best way going about it. I'm assuming that I'm going to have to re-enable the software updating app that I disabled for I didn't get OEM updates then upgrade to marshmallow and re-root using one of the guides or would a root keeping app or Survival mode on superSU possibly work? I also believe I have TWRP installed from when I rooted my phone before, I'm not sure if that's important info. Also side note, would their be a way to keep the 4.4.2 touch buttons on the bottom of the screen? They make more sense to me then the new ones. Device info below
AT&T
android 4.4.2
software version D85010d
Model number LG-D850
You can't root on marshmallow so if you want root DO NOT update with that app. the easiest way is to just flash a rom. i have the verizon version (vs985) and all i have to do to flash a custom stock rom, is to flash the right modem before flashing the rom, then flashing modem again after the rom and bam, i just flashed a marshmallow rom from kitkat 4.4.2. you can also downgrade that way just flashing the appropriate modem before and after and bam.! but i dont know about your version, you should definitely check the att&t G3 subforum. you need to be careful and read thoroughly so you don't brick. the thing with vs985 is that there are modems out there that can hardbrick the device, however, it may not be the same for others but, just in case you should read.
Thank you I'll look into that. So far I found this https://forum.xda-developers.com/att-lg-g3/development/rom-stock-bumped-marshmallow-v30a-t3661194 but I still got more research to do since I'm unfamiliar with flashing modems and whatever "bumped" is exactly. Hopefully this weekend I'll have more time to look into this.
Hi Guys,
About a month ago I got new Galaxy S9 with firmware G960FXXSBETH2,
As it turned out it has all kind of reception issues, so I tried to find alternate ROM for it to see if this issue can be improved.
While searching for ROM at Sammobile.com I noticed that the latest version for my region is different than the one I have on my device, and in fact I should have firmware G960FXXUAETG3.
I got ODIN (3.14.4) but when tried to flash the alternate firmware got this message:
"sw rev check fail bootloader device 11 binary 10"
So as it seems this device came with high boot-loader version 11 and I understand that I can not downgrade it either way - correct me if I'm wrong on this.
So what are my options on this?
Is there an alternate ROM that I could use? Maybe a customized one?
Or am I'm stuck with this firmware,
Many thanks
