Hi, as the title suggests I have both. Now I don't really know which one to keep. The pouch feels like it has better protect5ion if it drops and the swen edges may offer some bounce if you know what I mean. However the flip case feels better but feels kind of bare :-\ . It seems to offer no protection at all. Which one of these have you gone for or would go for if you had the option.
Hi,
i preferred to choose the flip for several reasons.
- Makes me feel the Gnote is a real note book.
- Just easier to use because you do not need to pull it out of the pouch to see the time of the day or check mail. Just more handy.
- If i need protection i'll buy or make a pouch while keeping the flip cover.
Anyway, it's more a personal choice, choose what's more handy for you.
I have the flip cover, and stick it in a small pouch for my bag (or map pocket of my jacket if I'm out and about) .
the pouch I have opens length ways so the note slides out really easily.
is flip cover really convenient?
Hi,
I wonder if flip cover is really convenient..........
Can u all type or take a snap or capture video comfortably?
I have both too, and only use the pouch for when i'm only going out briefly, and can't be bothered ripping the back panel from the Note and installing the flip case. (Can't leave the case on or it won't fit in it's dock)
I can see it being useful as extra protection too though, if I ever need to put it in a bag, while cycling for example.
I have kept the flip case now. I will begetting the carbon fiber skin as well (I had it on my HD2 as well) and will apply it to the flip case. I find it easier to hold now, i mostly hold it with one hand like in reading a book. As the post above says, I will keep the pouch for when I put it in a bag or need that extra protection. The flip case fits inside the pouch.
thanks for all
but can any one make some photos please??
& from where you bought it??
with big thanks for all of u again
Following the saying that one can not be too careful, is it possible to have the flipcover on and put the Note with the flipcover in the original pouch. :cyclops:
These kind of threads amuse me.
Just use the damn pouches or covers you have and decide for yourself what you like most.

Genuine Leather Case for Archos G9 Tablet (8-16GB)
Cost: $29.99 USD
(I have a Skinomi TechSkin Black Carbon Fiber on my tablet, so that's what the pattern is on the device itself. I didn't put the skin on the bezel as I like the way that the bezel looks)
Pros:
Snug - Device fits in the case very well. Not too big, not too small.
Heavy - This is clearly not cheaply made.
Magnetic Lock - No piece to tuck in, the latch is magnetic, and rather strong.
Thick - The whole thing feels very solid, and it does add a bit of bulk to it.
Inside Material - There is a felt-like material (I don't think it's actual felt) that makes it nice and soft inside. It grips the tablet well and almost guarantees no scratching of the tablet.
Cons:
Heavy - (yes, this is a con too!) The tablet can't stand up on the kickstand with this case on it. The top flap of the case is too heavy and makes the tablet fall over. Can't prop the tablet up on the flap.
Needs to stretch - The case is so well-fitting that it actually needs to stretch to be able to magnetically latch after the tablet is in it. Mine is currently resting face-down, under a book to hold it in place and stretch it a bit.
Kickstand Area - The small piece on the outside of the kickstand area is kind of there by itself, making it loose and it doesn't fit quite right. I assume it will need to be molded to fit over time.
Overall:
The case is very nice, and I like the overall quality of it. This is clearly a quality case, but it needs to be worn on the tablet for a bit to make it fit perfectly. There needs to be a little stretching and molding done.
I would definitely recommend this tablet to others with a G9 101.
Pictures!

Thanks for the review. I am going to pickup the G9 80 version now. How long did shipping take?

I have the newMP3technology.com one and am not impressed by it at all, especially for the amount I paid for it. I also have the Tuff-Luv and really like it. It really improves the tablet's look and it provides a better grip. I would like it to be a little better fit, it seems just a little loose for my tastes.

I'm trying to decide between a flip down case (such as the Noreve Tradition) or a flip sideways case (such as the Zenus Masstige or Elago G4). I've never owned a case for a phone so not sure which is more practical for the Note. Any suggestions/advice as to which is more practical for everyday use?
Does anyone have any feedback please?
Flip to the side is better.
Because: When you get a flip down, you can't charge and keep the flap on the screen. Gotta open it to charge. If the flip goes up and over, you can't listen to music or use to talk with headset.
Would advice flip to the left because the off button is easyer to access with the right side being open.
sideways looks also better, like a real note book
Side flip is best. flip up/down is awkward when speaking on phone. Like the member above mentioned, side flip allows you to charge whilst keeping the case closed and screen private. With flip down, charging can be awkward and phone case must be open. With flip up, you have the headphone jack obscured....no access. Try the Samsung Leather Lizard flip case. I have a few photos of it in the 'post your case' thread.
This is very user dependent... try at least 1 type of each and get a feel for which one you like to use best. For some people obviously side flip would be good while for some, over or under flip works more.
flip down....
no hassles, flip down to use the phone... flip up to close....
booklet types are on my opinion, cumbersome to use... kind like awkward to use especially when you got a call to take...
have a flip down and a flip-side one.... between the two... I use more my flip down leathercase over the booklet one...
but hey, that's just me... I just feel it more easy to open my Note using it...
I have the flip side cover and love it
sideways flip, book style. better still if it has slots for cards, cash, etc
great example is the EaseCase ones. yummy yum yum
side ways. it sometimes hassle for top/bottom flip cover touching your chest/abs unless you can flip it exactly behind the phone.
neither? do you not find such cases kinda double the size and the flippy part gets in the way of holding it properly? id also be concerned about bending the flippy part backwards when holding it (like bending the spine of a book) but maybe im being OCD about it idk
Didn't see a review for this case up here yet, so thought I'd make one.
I saw this case on Amazon (http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B008E9T442/ref=pe_217191_31005151_dp_1) and it had mostly good reviews, so went ahead and ordered one, paying £7.95 + shipping
What I like -
Extra bulk/weight (or lack thereof) - Looking at the images of the case on Amazon I had suspicions that this would add a lot of bulk and weight to the phone, especially looking at the 'raised' sections on the inside front cover, used for when the cover is in 'stand' mode. Surprisingly, it does not really. Even though it covers your phone back and front, it does not feel bulky like some other cases do, and the raised sections on the inside front cover actually act as an extra bit of cushioning for the screen, giving a bit more protection from drops. The phone still fits nicely in my pocket and I can hardly tell the difference with or without the cover.
The Fit - The cover fits very nicely on my S3. The corner clips hold the phone snugly, but not so tightly that it is difficult to get the phone out of the cover if you want to.
The 'Feel' - The cover has a nice feel to it. It feels as if it's soft leather though it isn't (as far as I can tell), and it sits nicely in the hand. The way the case is slightly bigger than the phone adds 'protruding edges' that your fingers grip nicely on, and that means that you are less likely to let the phone slip from your hand.
Design / logos - The design of the case (imho) is quite nice and not at all flashy. I think Poetic have gone for a more 'functional' look than anything else. There is a Poetic logo on hte front of the case, but you hardly even notice it. One thing I was also concerned about when I first ordered was that the 'stand/hinge' on the back of the case would add an uneven 'lump' to the shape of the case. It does not. At all. Poetic did a great job of designing this case.
Integrated Stand - I bought myself one of these covers for my Nexus 7 and I really like the integrated stand. It's really handy when I put my tablet on charge in landscape and watch videos, read, browse web etc. The only issue I have with that case is that the 'corner clips' that you have to undo when you open the stand will probably wear over time. With the Poetic HardBack case, this is not a problem, as you do not have to unclip the corners holding the phone when you open the stand. When in stand mode, the case holds the phone at a great angle for you to use the phone for videos, reading, music etc. Obviously (like with any other stand / dock for landscape mode) you will not have access to the volume buttons when the case is open in stand mode.
Operation - Opening and closing is simple enough, though can be a little fiddly when trying to do it one handed.
Compatiblity - It fits the phone perfectly and has spaces in all the right places allowing access to camers, flash, speaker, microphone, headphone jack, volume, power etc.
Build Quality - It looks like a well made case, with clean, even stitching and no edges protruding where they shouldn't. Backed by a three year manufacturer's warranty, I will most likely get a new phone before I need to buy a new cover.
What I don't like - Nothing
Please look on the Amazon link above for pictures of the case.
I like using magnetic mounts, but I don't like using a case or anything on the phone. Before, I would slip the metal plate under the back cover of the phone, but that's obviously not possible with the Axon. Has anyone found a stick-on magnetic plate that gets close to matching the silver of the Axon? I have found two that might be close on Amazon, but I am not confident about either:
1. Looks like more of a brushed finish: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B011P24DCM/
2. Is iPhone silver, but looks close to Axon silver. Not great picture quality though, so hard to tell: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01J52T60I/

I got the iottie and it was all scratched up right from the box, and the finish didn't match well anyway...more of a raw brushed metal that the Axon's coated metal look. I returned it.
Purchased https://www.amazon.com/Logitech-Drive-One-Touch-Smartphone-Mount/dp/B00KNU9L1Q the mount comes with both a black, and a charcoal grey magnetic mount. The grey mount nearly matches perfectly... it is slightly darker than the phone. Mount works beautifully. Pricey, but it works flawlessly, and has many mounting options included.
Magnetic mounts are safety to use ? Because I read somewhere in the web that magnetic field can have some bad effect to overall connectivity.
