Hello all,
I want to upgrade to v6 so I can flash Zulu's v1.4 rom... I have to start with Nvidia Experience v6.
I have v5.2 and it keeps telling me to download and install v6, so I download it, the console reboots, but reboots to TWRP so the upgrade never happens!
How to I get around that?
Tx
Mark.
Hi, you must flash stock recovery.img first and probably also stock boot.img if you rooted previously, those images plus stock system.img and vendor.img will should then allow you to upgrade without issue.

Hi there,
Thanks, but I *think* what I did was to upgrade straight to the latest zulu rom and it worked... probs ok since I had already flashed the stock firmware again... anyhow it is working now, but my apologies for not documenting here what I did to make it work, as I may have been able to help someone else. Thanks for your input though. Cheers, Mark.

I've not created a package for Odin before, but I thought it'd have a go at packaging up XXJP3 pre-rooted (as it's a bit of a pain to root).
So here it is - XXJP3 for Odin, pre-rooted with the latest Superuser Permissions, an insecure bootloader (so you can push files directly from adb / adb shell direct to root), clockworkmod recovery (replacing the stock recovery which can't flash test signed / unsigned images) and no other changes, and 512 PIT file included. Please provide feedback... I flashed to my device and it seemed to work but, well, you know... this is a new way of doing things.
Odin 3 v1.0 is also included in the zip.
BACKUP EVERYTHING ON YOUR DEVICE / SD CARD FIRST!
Enjoy!

is the sdcard name still change in this version?
if so, all games can't be played or need to be reinstalled
I'm gonna revert the sdcard name for a future version.

Works great! One question:
Hi Paul,
works great, thanks a lot. Why the old busybox version?

Did someone note a wrong black levels in cam recording? I don't know if by playing video on a different output, like a TV, it would give back the same faded blacks. Is it a recording or reproducing only problem?

Repacked Stock ROM for SWR50 Version LWX48P
I made a twrp flashable stock ROM ZIP of the LWX48P version firmware. You can download it at SWR50-LWX48P-repacked-signed.zip. Don't flash it with the stock recovery, it is for twrp. The ZIP contains the unmodified files, this means it is NOT rooted, busyboxed or something else. Use it to go back to stock, if you mess up with your system. You can also use the Sony PC Companion to go back to stock.
It includes also the u-boot/bootloader partition images like and from the OTA. If you don't want to reflash them, feel free to modify the zip.
Use it on your own risk.
If you need the stock recovery, too, then you can download a dump of it at SWR50-LWX48P-stock-recovery.img. Flash it with fastboot.
How did you make this? I want to do a repacked ROM with the new 5.1 update.

I just wanted to say thanks for this post. My sw3 was stuck on the 4 dot symbols in MM booting. I tried several different ROMs and XC would not work either. Your pack worked and allowed my watch to live again. Although it is LP, that is fine. At least I can now use it.
Does this version support updates?
Thank you for the post!
Do you know maybe why this version can't get updates correctly? Seems like I get an update or two and then it stuck. Can I fix it somehow?
d-h.st isn't usable anymore. Can someone mirror the file to mega or dev host?

Yes, I know. And it's installed on my watch since yesterday. But I would like to revert it to stock. Unfortunately Xperia companion isn't able to recover my watch to stock state. Companion already managed it to nearly kill my watch.

This is just an incremental update file. You need a unmodified system on the watch to apply this update.

Hi,
Just try to update from Android menu (Settings->About->System Updates). Sometimes it takes several hours or a day to get the update, but it should happen.
Pay attention to stop updating after LCA43 - the update to MEC24H didn't work and I had to flash again the LWX48P.
Hello Everyone!
I'm stuck!!! If anyone can help, it is so appreciated!
I attempted to root my subject named device using ODIN following these directions:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-note-10-2014/development/root-cf-auto-root-t2905495
Everything seems to go as planned until restart.. the tablet continuously reboots, over and over, but fails to load.
I have no clue what to do from here, so this is my only option... ask those who have much more knowledge than me!
Thanks in advance. I really appreciate your assistance.
That's called a bootloop. Something went wrong with flashing. What is a subject named device? That autoroot method only works for smp600 that is already running stock 5.1 or 4.4.2 . Boot into downloadmode using the appropriate buttons, then Download stock firmarwe from sammobile.Com and flash via Odin to get back a working device.
Which build are you on? If it is 5.1.1, that method will result in a bootloop if you try to root.
Use this instead

The tablet is a Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014 Edition) Model SM-P600.
Not sure about the build.... but I will most definitely checkout the link you provided - thanks!
Question, can I flash a different rom rather than stock?
Also, I was just able to flash TWRP via ODIN and was able to get TWRP to load on the device. I'm hoping to flash a custom rom from the external SD via TWRP. I don't care which one at this point.. just need to get the tablet functional again and get a backup saved lol.

Here is "how to" instruction by me - post #225 for upgrade to the latest 5.1.1 and root your device. Once done and you want custom rom, just boot into twrp and flash any custom rom that you like. Let me know if you have issue.

Hello,
I flashed a stock rom for my zenfone 2 Z00A without any problem but because I have installed TWRP on my phone to test out cm12.1 and cm13 I can no longer do the OTA as they come in. I have searched through the forums and have tried to edit the OTA file as described but it always errors and won't install. I did a backup when I first installed TWRP, if I use that recovery file will it bring back my phone to stock or will I still have TWRP? If i will is there a way to remove TWRP and go back to the stock recovery so I can install the OTA's the normal way?
Thank you,
David
use fastboot to install the stock recovery

Or edit ota to be compatible with TWRP. It's a 30 second procedure.
Thank you, after searching I finally found on asus's own blog a post that had the link to the proper recovery.IMG file. Thank you both for the help. David

Hi David. Can you supply the link to the stock rom that you used and the recovery image please?Did you flash anything else besides these two?
Hello,
What I did was;
1) download the latest full firmware from this site http://www.asus-znfone.com/2016/01/full-firmware-zenfone-2-ze551ml-V2.20.40.160.html and installed it using twrp as I would any custom rom.
2) After I went through all the set up I was alerted to a system update. Before I did the update I replaced TWRP with the restore.img from this link
https://mega.nz/#F!k4MHiAgL!dVuOKeH3eokcwPSNI79ffw!Z1N1EbKa using fastboot flash recovery recovery.img command.
3) After rebooting it is possible to do all the OTA updates.
Hope this helps. David Waldie

Hi everyone,
I'm not new on the forum but it was a long time i logged into the system.
I have some questions how i get the orginal stock rom for my phone. Last year my collegue update and flashed my phone with a good rom but now i can't update anymore. So i decided to return the phone to the orignal stock rom.
How may i do that, i saw similar threads but a lot of them are already one year old so i taught i ask it on a new thread.
Good to know:
- i have no backup;
- i have the bootloader Team Win Recovery Project v2.8.7.0;
- i accidentally erased everything (except the bootloader);
What i want:
- Original bootloader, so i can get the orginal Asus updates;
- Original and newest stock rom.
And offcourse how i do all of this?
It's for the Asus Zenfone 2 with 4GB ram and the intel Atom 1.8 Ghz 32Gb Storage.
Just download raw firmware and flash with ASUS Flash Tool.
Then boot in bootloader and start the tool after you have connected your Zenfone to your computer. Choose "ZE551ML" from Model select list, choose "Yes" to wipe data and select the downloaded raw firmare with the package icon. Afterwards press start to flash firmware.
Try this : - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q5BNfaU_O9o
this helped me alot thank you. I will wait offical MM after all.

Now it's working again.
