Hi,
I need help. Redmi 1s's original battery BM 41 is discontinued. but redmi 2's battery (BM 44) are available in the market.
I tried BM 44 in redmi 1s and it works well. But the only problem is, its not charging.
I found in miui forum that "BM44 it's charging with miui8 +xcelerate kernel+6.8.4 Devloper rom"
I have tested that and its not charging, please any one can help me with this?

Do not worry, MIUI ROM doesn't support BM44 battery, that's why it is not charging at all.
use NeonKernel_v7 MIUI version if using miui Rom, you can use BM44 without anyproblem

And any bug in the neon kernal?

I didn't tried, still using the old battery, its now become little fatty, but usable, just don't over charge.
I just plugged the BM44 battery in yesterday and charged it to 100% without any problem, I'm using the last stable release of MIUI.

I'm in no way rushing or asking about ETA. Just wondering if there's progress made? Since we don't have dedicated forum for 5A...
Just got phone couple weeks ago. Really like it - hardware wise. But nit really fun of MIUI - it's agressivly kills all my apps like VoIP app, weather etc...

Using Masik Final. Its based on MIUI 10 and so far so good. Getting around 10 hours of SOT. Cam is fine, Gcam is working as well. What else..Oh AntiRollBack is untouched in this ROM.

This is old rom, i suggest you to install Revolution OS MIUI. It's on Pie.
