Oh. Well then this is for you. It should be turned on by default. If you havent messed with it. It should be on. But. I would be trying to figure out why its overheating.
I know some people have the issue. But both of my g5s never did. The screens still ghost a little.
Are you doing massive gaming or videos a lot? Thats about the only times mine gets hot. Have you tried to no root disable as much as u can thats not needed in bloatware and system apps?
Face book youtube are batt hogs and stress the system.
Look in battery stats and see whats using most of the system. Other than Screen, android os, cell stand by are ok. Its other apps you are looking for. But not to see whats using the battery but bassicly running more than others.
You can try wakelock detector. Still works without root

[Q] Battery issues with CM7 alpha anyone?

I've had CM7 on my t989 since the day after alpha 2 came out, and I've never had any serious issues I haven't been able to solve.
I've been trying to track down what's causeing my phone to stay awake, and I can't figure it out at all. In the android battery usage, it shows that my phone is almost always awake when it's sitting in my pocket with nothing running, even after a fresh reboot. No relevant application shows up in either the 'partial wake usage' list or the main android battery usage list.
Is there a way to get more accurate information about partial wake usage or per application usage then I'm aware of? I'm currently using Battery Monitor Widget to figure this stuff out.
I could be an application I have installed that is causing it, but how would it be ducking the android battery usage monitor AND the partial wake usage list?
Anyone else experience something like this?
If you go to Settings, About phone, Battery Usage, what are the top apps?

Try Better Battery Stats. It has really helped me increase my phone's deep sleep.

There are apps there, but they aren't the ones that are draining my battery, considering none of them are the ones keeping my phone awake while the screen is off and it's idle.
There is battery usage going on that isn't listed on the battery usage page, which is why I made the thread.

I've used better battery stats, it exposed the same information that battery monitor widget does, just in a much less user friendly way.
What ever is keeping the wake lock, my phone isn't tracking it, making me think it's something in the OS, not an app I have installed.
I'm willing to bet its something with calls/proximity sensors. Is Android system 2nd on battery usage behind display?

Yeah, android system is almost always second, is there anything I can do to help that besides switch back to a samsung rom?
Is this happening with other people on CM7 alpha with this phone?

It happens on a bunch of phones with cm7. Not just this one. There's really nothing you can do about it. Are you getting that bad of battery life?
Sent from my SGH-T989 using Tapatalk
Yeah, the battery life is really bad sometimes, but other times it's fine.
So no one knows the cause? It just happens? I'm confident CM9 will fix it, mostly because they have the ground up reword the ROM to make it work.

The times its good is when you don't make many calls? Or your calls or later in the day? What happens is after you make a call there is a partial wake lock triggered by the proximity sensor. Pay attention to that.

Thanks, does restarting after a call solve the partial wake lock?

[Q] Trouble waking up when I unlock the screen

Has anyone else noticed any issues with the phone being super laggy when they turn on the screen and unlock it. Basically, I double-tap to wake, unlock, and then for a few seconds I can't do anything. Even scrolling through my homescreens. It's like the whole phone is frozen for a few moments, then it suddenly wakes up and registers everything I just did. It's like it doesn't wake up fast enough from deep sleep or something. It's more annoying than anything. It does it dozens of times/day. I have the H815 model.
It sounds like a rogue app. Is there anything out of the ordinary on the battery list?

Is it showing a high battery % if you're looking at the battery log..?
There's probably other apps that do this too, but Greenify will show you a list of apps that wake on screen unlock, etc.
You could use it to see which apps are active on waking the phone.
SystemPanel has a record history function that could be helpful too, but I think it's only active in the pay version.
I'm using AdGuard and don't have any wake lag problems, but I've blocked a ton of apps and turned off many functions that people suggested to prevent lag.
I've attached my current blocked.txt for use with Debloater on the AT&T H810. I'm still working my way through the pre-installed apps and making a list with descriptions of the files I blocked.

Technically, yes. But it's a placebo. Adguard creates a local VPN and routes all traffic through it to weed out the ads, so it shows as the #1 battery hog, but in reality it's not impacting my battery life. That doesn't mean it can't be causing this, but it's not a battery drain issue.

com.lge.ims.action.ALARM_NATIVE_TIMER--Causing tons of wakeups

Hey guys, I noticed in BBS that I have an alarm waking up my phone 40+ times an hour and causing battery drain. The process is "com.lge.ims.action.ALARM_NATIVE_TIMER" ...Has anyone else experienced this? If so, can it be limited using Amplify or anything along those lines? Thanks!
I have it limited by Amplify with no negative side effects. Lock that bish down asap

I kept it simple to 600 seconds. I never had major issues with it but it was still present. If I remember correctly it's usage was for wifi calling or something. Since I don't have that feature with my carrier it had no ill effect

Always On

Is it possible to make some kind of app or similar thing that would allow screen lock light fot notifications to be always on?
You can try this https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.tomer.alwayson
In the lockscreen? If not try Caffeine

Well, there are some apps, but the problem is that they are not kernel related, so even if the screen doesn't consume that much because it's AMOLED, you'll notice an HUGE battery drain, because the phone should never go into deep sleep. Moreover if you keep the same pixels on for a long time, you'll burn them.

How was your experience using the app? I'm planning on getting the OP3T and would love it if it has AOD.
You might get 4 percent drain for a full 24 hours. I used an always on display app from the play store on my axon.. Definitely acceptable for the amount of time it's on.

holy crap dude. factory reset that bish and see what you get after you set it back up
I had this problem, but it was the android system in my case not the android OS. I wiped the cache and drained my phone to 0% then charged it untill full.
The problem is gone. But still my battery life isn't great.
I think restricting background activity and putting loads all the apps to sleep should help ?
I have already putted some apps to sleep since I got the update, especially google, because it was crashing constantly.... Try it, it may help.
I put all my apps to sleep and enabled auto-brightness and here's the result (S9 Exynos)

What screen resolution have you set?

Same screen resolution
Download GSam Battery Monitor from google play and use ADB to give it permission "adb shell pm grant com.gsamlabs.bbm android.permission.BATTERY_STATS", It should show what is draining the battery.
Is this good ?

Yes it is, I get similar results with wifi.
But there's a lot out there who can get up to 5-6 hours and I just don't know how?

Android's battery usage is not showing everything that's why I told you to use gsam monitor
With gsam we could see what is exactly in the "system" causing it to drain battery.
What's app seems to use a lot of battery.
What is your screen brightness level?

Did you modify any settings in the last 7 days?
That's what I got today, mostly on 4G, but it's not great for a flagship.?
Edit : It seems like you used your phone to watch youtube most of the time, right?
