Hello,
Just a request, because I'm sure Google will disable it sooner or later anyway. Is there any developer out there or anyone for that matter that would know a way to enable access to the SRGB screen setting or have an ADB command to enter that would disable it? Please let me know if it's possible and as always thank you in advance

The only option for color changing is this:
I'm pretty sure sRGB is a secure setting, so it can't be changed via adb or any non-root method.

On the Pixel 2 XL? Sure isn't the case on my stock Pixel XL (I stopped rooting once I got the Nexus 6P). The mode to toggle sRGB is right there in the developer settings under "Running Services" on the XL but completely missing in the 2 XL.
Considering how much people are whining about it, they'll obviously release some sort of update to allow people to disable it.

It's not that something is really "wrong" with the display. It's that Google for whatever unknown reason decided to tune a high end POLED display to sRGB mode which tends to wash out colors.
Coming from a Note 8, the display is noticeably less sharp. Colors are off from a more saturated Samsung panel. Yellows look dark and angled viewing has blue tints.
It's not bad, it's just different, and a lot of people are noticing it. Many from Android media outlets. Apparently Google has acknowledged the display issues and is going to modify it.

Has anyone with the phone tried looking in some of the activities options which typically have many setting hidden but available to launch from? That's the first place I'm going to check when I have the phone. Either use a launcher with activity ability or install an app:

Installed the app and ran it, it only shows a list for itself and Nova. Long press on itself create shortcut doesn't do anything. Settings, home app doesn't show activity launcher. I'm going to take a wild guess and say it's not compatible with Oreo as the last update was 2015.

Yeah you have to switch to all activities from the top pulldown
On 2nd thought, mine crashed on my N6p on Oreo so it may not be compatible. Try installing Nova Launcher. It comes with activity launcher. I believe you just press and hold somewhere on screen and choose activities.

Tap activity at the top and scroll to settings. Open it up and start searching. You can launch the activity by hitting the play button. Some of them may crash but some lead to hidden menus that are not otherwise accessible through normal settings. Like Bandmode (be carefull) or phone info.

I keep checking Android Police and Droid Life for info, but nothing yet. I see the card description in the settings menu has changed from show/hide, to watch face dependent.
Just got it and the watch is forced to reboot, kind of interesting.

I updated to the newest firmware on the watch yesterday. When I downloaded the Wear update today I noticed the watch reboot and figured it had crashed. Then I saw the note in the Wear app.
Installed it thanks for link.
But anyone can tell me what is the new change is " This update adds a 'Card preview' setting which can be set to "None" or "Watch face sets card preview."
I test it but do not see difference.

ok I figure what it is. And it is the setting I really need after recent OTA. After OTA on change is you can keep the notice card by swap down. It is nice but the problem is if you not aware income notice at first place after screen off the notice will automatically hide. Next time when you turn on screen you will not find any new notice unless you swap up. Or you will get old notice when new is coming.
It make me missing lot of notice. So if you setting as NONE, it will behavior like this, but setting another item, you get old way how notice show.
It is perfect now we can have choice for what we like.
Yep it rebooted mine too, and I was on the newest firmware. Wonder what its upto?
The watchface dependant preview is in preparation for the 2.0 update. The watchface API will allow developers to make a few settings, including how to display the preview cards (size, opacitiy, whether or not at all, etc)

There's no need for a tool, the watch face developers can set these in their watch faces. So Facer for example will either have a global setting or a per-face setting for these things.
Dedicated watch face apks will just set these based on what they want or also allow customization via some sort of interface I guess.
What is the new wear card that looks like a green wifi symbol? There is no text. The only option is open on phone, but does nothing. My phone wifi is turned off. Thanks!

Yes. It's something Samsung has had for ages now. I mean Google took the time to create a scheduled system for blue light reduction, yet couldn't bother to do the same with Ambient Display. It's either on 24-7 or off.
The best solution I've found is to put a piece of paper or such over the top sensor at night so the phone will think the device is in a pocket and turn off the screen.

I just got my pixel 2 XL and can't believe google has not enabled this already, it's a very basic item and a must have for many.
Pretty pathetic, hopefully once roms start dropping this will fix many shortcomings on the device.
As mentioned in an different thread, using Accubattery will display the battery level on the AOD. In my brief testing, Google reported the app as not consuming any measurable amount of power overnight, so no appreciable battery draw. Also, there is a root app from an XDA RC that displays the music you are currently playing/streaming on to the AOD. This is different from the existing "now playing" feature already built in, and at the end of the article HERE it says that almost any "text" can be displayed on the AOD. It's not the built in Google controls for the AOD we are expecting, but there is hope for customization for those with root, and in the coming ROMs.
Well, got this notice, just don't know what "Changed" (shrug)

You didn't say how you typically update every month, but I would now re-flash the full image (removing -w from the script). You'll lose TWRP and root if you have those, but if these files are on your phone before you start (TWRP, kernel, magisk) it only takes 5 minutes even taking your time. To speed things up be sure to catch the reboot at the end of the image flash, holding down the vol-dn button. That will take you back to fastboot mode instead of waiting for it to boot up and then having to reboot. Flash or boot to TWRP and then queue up kernel and magisk, then let her rip.

Removed myself from the beta, and updated to stable. So far so good. Going to try a few more things to make sure that was it.
While I'm here. I'm still having lockscreen swipe unlock issues. STILL takes 50 tries.
I have the feeling that rooting is part of the problem.
I do remember someone found an "anti-falsing" setting in SystemUI, but that required more work than it should.
Did Google really NOT fix this basic issue yet?
I'm having the same issue, text doesn't show in dark background but shows with a white background.
I'm also part of the beta but I would rather not deactivate it, any other solution? I like my dark background ?

By "scrolling", is that just like a long screenshot? I would love that sort of native functionality, I've always had to use an app for it...I'm currently on one from the play store called Screen Master...

Yeah, I think that's what the OP is referring to.
Samsung's (at least the Note series, not positive on others) had it built in, where if you take a screenshot there would be a button that says like "scroll down" or something, and it would scroll a page length down, and you could keep doing it. The result being a long image.
Screen Master seems like a nice app for it.
Wish it was just built into the screenshot capture though
