I'm having the same errors .Same sd card but on a N7105.Could it be that these cards are not compatible with the Galaxy notes and the sg3 because I have seen same reports on other forums?A lot of them! I also read on another forum that the cards made before December were presenting with these errors .

This is one of the threads I was referring to :http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1933743
??Damaged sd card
Have you tried this http://www.cgsecurity.org/wiki/TestDisk_Step_By_Step or this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=367912&page=2 ? Am gonna go ahead and try because am now suspecting the card is damaged.
Go physical
My Samsung Galaxy note 2 showed same error. But when I used sd card on my PC I could see all contents. I tried several SD cards, installing apps, changing firmware and always same result. I almost return my cellphone to seller. BUT I remembered that on PC, dirt makes some noise and generates annoying behaviors.
SO I decided to go physical.
I turned off my device
I got off battery door, battery and sd card
I used contact cleaner generously on sd reader.
I waited for about 5 minutes.
I put back sd card, battery and battery door
I turned on my device
Bingo!! My Sd card is back!!!!
I hope this can help you...

Hello, I am having the same problem.
Since yesterday after rebooting my phone, I am getting "damaged sd card". After removing the card and putting it back in, it changed to "Blank SD card or has unsupported filesystem".
Cleaning the contacts didn't help.
Any more advices on this topic? I don't have a card reader for micro sd cards nearby. Is there a way to fix the sd card using adb / filesystem / shell tools?
I have some data on the card I didn't back up yet and don't want to loose.

When SD card get corrupted, you need a PC and a SD card reader. Connect SD card, open command prompt, type “chkdsk /f /X <driver letter>:”.
If this doesn’t fix sd card you need to replace it.

All right, I bought a card reader and tried the chkdsk thing.
To my big surprise, chkdsk told me that the sd card is RAW type and therefore not usable with chkdsk.
How's that even possible? How can a SD card simply change it's type?
Can I reverse it somehow and recover the partion table? I really don't want to loose the cards content.
Any more advices on this?

Hi there,
I am having a very weird problem.
After flashing a new ROM, my Note 2 is not recognizing my 64gb Sandisk class 10 SD card.
The card was working perfect in the last 3 months, and now I am having a notification symbol of "Checking for errors".
What can I do? is my sd card dead?
Please HELP!
Best regards,

Hey guys, i have an issue I need some help with. My wife's Sgs2 has a custom 4.3 now but since last month when it had ICS on it, it has been giving me a lot of issues with the micro sd card. i had a samsung 16 gb on it and all of a sudden it started saying damaged sd card, made me format it but still wouldn't work. i did usb mount to my pc via recovery as my pc wouldn't even id the card when inserted. i formatted to fat32 and tried to mount the card both on recovery and after rebooting the phone but had no luck. then i bought a generic 32 gig micro sd and put it on the phone after I flashed a 4.3 rom on it. at first everything was fine and a huge music folder and CWM backups were all on the external card but all of a sudden, the phone started giving me the same message. I formatted that card hoping the default file type for S2 would work but now it keeps saying either "damaged sd card" or "blank sd card with improper partition" or something like that. I'm at a loss as to what I did wrong and what I should do. Before formatting both the cards I tried using EaseUS recovery but that thing hung up my pc let alone fix the card. If anyone has any clue, suggestion, opinion or information on this, please do let me know. I've searched both on google and here on xda but couldn't find an exact solution or one that worked. Thanks again guys.
Alright though I think the title says it all, I have a 64GB SanDisk micro SDXC card that I bought for my T-Mobile M8 and the card is formatted exFat using the built-in storage menu in settings.
My dilemma is that though everything seems to be correct, every time I reboot the phone or remove and reinstall the card or unmount the card, it can not be remounted without formatting it first and my PC doesn't recognize the card until it's been reformatted and remounted in the phone again.
I've read all about KitKat's ridiculous new sdcard policies and restrictions but I genuinely don't believe that my problem is related to the security updates that came with KitKat. I'm thinking there is another underlying problem.
I'm currently running ViperONE 1.8.0. Though I don't believe ViperONE is the cause.
any ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I had same problems and i did format my sd card on my pc with win 7 in fAT32 using the "GUIFORMAT" free software, just do a search on Google, then I did put back my sd card in the phone, reboot the phone multiple time, copy files and after more than 3 days still work no problem

And this is with a 64GB card? I had it formatted to FAT32 earlier today and to my surprise it did not corrupt the card after a reboot but it DID have trouble re-mounting the card.
I'll try it again with the program you suggested and see if that changes anything. Thanks for the suggestion.
i just bought a EMTEC Micro SD XC 64Gb card and it was running fine in my phone but now every now and then it pops up saying that the sd card was not removed correctly mean while i never even tried to remove and sometime my computer wont pull it when i connect my phone to transfer file to you. Ive been trying for the past hour or so to try and convert the SD card to Internal Memory and no luck , I m running LeeDroid the lastest MM Verison.
EDIT it finally Came up saying that the SD CARD i was using is to slow to be used as internal, which is very weird cause i only bought the sd card cause it said it was lol just my luck lol
