Hello to everyone.
I bought an unlocked sim sprint note 4 outside USA. Everything is working fine. Just wanted to know if I can root this phone attached is screen shots about phone. Note also i tried to update OTA but when it restart its restarts with previous firmware not the update one because update fails.
Please advice if i can root it and point me to the easy working root steps.

I wanted to unlock my note 2, it was on 4.1.2 so i decided lets downgrade to 4.1.1 and unlock it. I used the sasktel stock rom to downgrade it and it succesfully downgrade and used the free method to unlock it (*#197328640#). Now, for some reason whenever i put simcard it gives me Emergency calls only 9laready checked the simcard, its working fine, however when i try to put my old inactivated rogers simcard it does tell me unregistered simcard). Please help...
So far i tried to put bell stock firmware but no luck, didnt make any backup for efs or anything (i already tried the same thing on s3 and it worked fine so i thought it will be same thing)

Just want to add few things, i install original stock rom through odin bootloader instead of pda. I do get the signal from my simcard if i turned my phone for few hours and turned on but when i restart i do get the same error emergency calls only. Please someone should help me here, i dont mind making a donation to any developer whoever can help me...
Can somebody help me here and atleast guide me. Should i basically call Samsung and get it replaced, its still under warranty?
Does it say emergency calls only or no sim?

i have the same problem when i tried to unlocked with z3x, i correct all issues , imei, base-band , .. the cell looks perfect just Emergency Calls Only on bell Note 2 i317m, i tried a lot of tricks but didn't work i think it's network security part problem? any one have an idea ?
Hello,a like a week ago when i booted up my phone it asked me to insert SIM network unlock code, I googled about this and I found a solution but i required android 4.1 or so.Is there a way to unlock it with out paying and downgrading?I have it rooted with CM 11.If downgrading is the onlyway please give me a tutorial step by step on it

Just flash some old recovery that will allow you to downgrade to 4.1.

Hi all, I've been reading tons of threads and I am still having some difficulties with this phone. I am not in the US, I got this phone from a coworker that was going to throw it away and brought it with me to south america to give it to my friends mom who has no money, its and old phone but the one she has is even crappier ,I thought I would be able to just pop the SIM and get it going but nope.
If anyone could point me in the right direction I would really appreciate it, I have a few more days before I go back home and I would love to be able to leave this working for her.
Let me put you up to speed:
-Phone is running Android 4.3
-Phone was rooted using Odin, has SU and CWM
-Followed thread here to SIm unlock: https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2023709 but #4 option is not present on 4.3
-I tried downgrading to 4.1.2 custom root666 to see if I could get #4 but to no avail since you cannot from this 4.3 version
-About to follow this thread :https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=48012926&postcount=8
but not sure if correct for what I want to do.

The phone can only be unlocked used an unlock code. Try contacting T-Mobile for a free unlock code or buy a code from eBay.
i'm with the same problem. i bought an sgh-i747 and after two months it bricked, so i replace the logical card (i don't remember how to say it in English, lol.) and boom!!! now i have a t999 and it doesn't work with movistar. (i'm from Venezuela)
but well, i've been reading posts about unlocking the phone and every one of them only works in JB 4.1.x. i don't know if i could unlock it by the downgrade process and i'm scared of getting the phone bricked again.

Tried to root and add lineage. Ended up in hidden menu pressed lte restarted now phone no longer works I factory reset data reset cleared cache. Now I get service bars and 3g sometimes pops up but not working . Just wanted to root and update from marshmallow and now I dont have service. I think I've returned back to sprint stock or something. Thanks again

I've been trying to unlock my note 4 ton sprint for quite a while now and I'm practically out of ideas. I stumbled across this thread and was hoping you could help me out. I unrooted my note to try and get it working on crickets network, but, despite having the malt code from sprint I have no idea how to get it working. I tried a paid unlocking service but got an error message that they couldn't unlock CDMA phones. If you could help me out I'd really appreciate it, I know this thread is pretty old at this point but, like I said, I'm at a loss here.

Im not sure if this falls in this category. My phone is 20E. Not 20 SE.
But i need to Unroot my TCL20E.
Backstory: i gave the phone (locked) to this tech guy. I told him to please unlock it it seems he didn't unlock it but he rooted it and now it's not accepting the SIM card.
I need to Unroot it .
Please help.
