Since the A5 2016 has the same processor a Lineage OS port would be easier?

Are you sure of that ?
AFAIK, the A510F has an Exynos 7580 (Cortex-A57/Mali-T720) whereas the A320FL has an Exynos 7870 (Cortex-A53/Mali-T830).
I believe he means either the J5 (2017), the J5 Prime (2016?) or the J7 (2016).
I would be happy to help the development, too.
I've never ported a device but I've compiled LineageOS for another device before and I'm eager to learn porting.

I've got experience porting, just not to Exynos devices. AFAIK it's a challenge, and I've got exams coming up soon so I don't know if I'll be able to devote a huge amount of time to it, but I'll try my best.

Me but actually it is Christmas time then i work slowly, but now i own the device my work will be faster dont worry, actually eta is that it compile but fail at 9รท, when my exam revision will end i'll look more seriously to fix it
Btw i have now a vps thanks to the donation i got, i can now work much often

Just purchased the oneplus 5t and hoping this Rom makes its way over...
The phone is still really new and development takes a lot of time and effort, give it some time and I'm sure we'll start seeing more ROMs for our device

RR Nougat seems unlikely on this device
we just started work on RR oreo since 8.1 just released.
The source as of now is not buildable but once it is, i will try my best to deliver a beta build within the end of this year

Just tried the new oreo 8.1 custom ROM in the development section and volte works for T-Mobile in the USA. That is really great news for Resurrection Remix I believe

Why do you think this is the case? It's not like no one uses the J7 Pro. It's a really good phone with plenty of users I'm sure.

Ok look. Here is the deal. The Razer Phone has the a/b partition, and it has the separate vendor partition. Razer states that Q1 2018 will release the update to Oreo 8.1 with official Project Treble support. Since all that is happening so soon, nobody is going to start development on this phone until we get that. Just be patient.

I don't think they have definitely said it would have Treble support. I mean, the partitions are there already for it, so it would make sense, but we will wait and see.

If we do get Treble? Nah. It'll be just a couple of minutes flashing a generic image to your device, really.
Though, Razer promised the update by the end of Q1, and that's happening in 9 days, sooo...

I've seen some other devices (not with a similar processor, that is) getting unofficial Treble support. If Razer doesn't do it, with the proper kernel sources we can still try, I guess.

Hello everyone, I really wanted to tell you my opinion in this section that is the one dedicated more to the development of generic Treble ROMs and also specific for some devices. My question is, why do not even a project embrace Xiaomi Daisy? Many GSIs are not perfectly optimized for the device and unfortunately sometimes you get into various bugs. I would like not a little, to see some project even perhaps addressed to him. But this is my opinion, I hope it can be taken into consideration. As always, thank you all for what you do.
There are Lineage OS roms in development for a2 lite. those will be perfectly optimised.
and once they're released, surely other customized ROMs will follow. so just stay tunedn

Actually I test rom for developers , los 16 is fine but vendor stock have error , the dev compile vendor lineage . So just wait for custom rom daisy ...

i got a new A2 lite this week and a bit surprised that there is still no lineage 16 port for daisy. I'm using LOS and CM before for years and different phones and had expacted for an stock android phone porting is very easy and comes much faster then for other phones.
So i'm a bit confused but it seems i'm on the wrong path?

I use open can no issues.idk bout gcam encryption is a twrp problem u will run into that on anyrom until twrp is fixed

PA for Daisy is official , is a good ROM , encryption It's bug Daisy no bug from pa and maintener compile ...
For camera bug opencamera resolve this , and future update It will be fixed ...

Had this problem with Redmi Note 4X and LOS 15.1 and fixed it by using Red Wolf instead of TWRP. Maybe this will work with Daisy too ....

Would be nice I've been looking into redwolf seems to be better suited for xiaomi then twrp. But I don't think there are any builds for our device

Maybe because once you have a stock android with monthly updates it makes less sense to go for a probably less stable rom. Don't get me wrong, I have been using CM and RR for a long time, but i got this phone exactly because it has Android One.

Maybe ... but this is no explanation why i.e. A2 jasmin has servel more official roms like PA, Havoc, RR, Pixys and even more unofficial ....
