Use buildprop editor and manually add camera 2 API.
I got it working on more ****ty redmi note 4x. You got bigger 1.34 pixel size why not.
It's android, it's root and make **** happen.

There's no camera2 api support for our device
I've tried many tweaks but it didn't enabled in spite of that the actual camera crashes...

Pixel Camera For Athene

Can someone port pixel camera for our moto g4+ bcuz i hav tried all patching, region changing , build.prop editing ,etc but nothing seems to work , it just says app incompatible.
Because it is incompatible, if u manage to install it the most probably thing is that camera will be buggy as hell

The Google Camera we get from the GApps suite (stock and higher imo) gets the still photographs working at max 11.9 MP but the video recording will be buggy and you may get 'Can't connect to Camera' error because it is exclusive to the Google Devices itself. Back in Feb, when I was on AOSP-CAF ROM:
install Google camera from Gapps>Open camera>give permission>switch to front cam>switch to video mode>switch to main camera>switch to video recording.
But this was needed to be done each time.

If it was that easy, then I'd be adding Google Cam to my own ROM.

32Bit OS / Oreo / Camera2API / Google Camera

Got some questions since I bought device device recently. I've been using a Xiaomi MI5s for quite a while now - this one has got a 64bit system, so a) Camera2API and b) the Google Camera with HDR is working just fine. So I learned Moto is STILL using 32bit for this and other devices so the recent Google Cameras with HDR+ will NEVER work with this.
Might this change with the release of Oreo 8.0 on the Moto Z2 Play? Or do you guys think Moto will still be using 32bit with this?
Asking, because the low-light-performance with this Z2 Play is WAY worse compared to my MI5S with Google Camera and HDR+ enabled - it's a world's difference. This I use this mobile on the go and like to have quality snapshots with me, I might be dropping this one again because of this - although, despite this issue - I like it a lot!
Any ideas?
So.. got a reply from Motorola.
Android 8.0 for the Z2 Play will stay at 32bit - no 64bit OS for this phone planned. Only for the Z2 Force Models, which have 64bit already.
Guess I'll sell the Play again, then..

Google Camera with HDR+ functionality. As I stated already, low light performance isn't that great with the Z2 - so Google Camera Modded would allow this one to be WAY more detailed / sharp / etc, as the stock cam would.
But Google Camera with these features is 64bit ONLY. Which means, if this one stays at 32bit, we can never get GCAM MOD working..

Try this, see if touch/autofocus works. it's based on gcam 4.2.xx arm 32b version.
Edit : needs camera api 2 enabled by build.prop if crashes. add below line to build.prop.
persist.camera.HAL3.enabled=1

hi! thanks for your support! camera hal has been enabled by me before.
your version works.. but only partially. hdr seems to work, too. but the results
are not usable nor is the handling. touching the camera button, it takes about 10 seconds
before the actual photo is done.. and it also works only 1 of 5 times. in 4 times it doesn't take
a picture at all. and the result is washed out..
are there other versions i could test? do you know that?
thanks again!
Just lower iso a bit and increase speed using professional mode, you'll get better image, but need steady hand
Use automatic mode for iso and speed reference
on my bike z2 Play does not work, it does not have root, do I need root to install this APK?

Camera app with working Slow Motion for custom roms on One Plus 3?

Any camera app with working Slow Motion mode on custom roms?
I'm running LOS 15.1 rn and I've tried slow motion on Google Cam and OOS Camera. None of them work.
Any suggestions?
I to am looking for an answer to this. I had tried a few custom ROMs but came back to stock (well open beta) because of the camera.
I tried Google camera mod and it has the slow motion (with audio!) And HDR+.

But Google camera slow motion doesn't work for me. The camera freezes.
Where did you get the Google camera app from? I honestly don't remember how I got it. I'll have to have a look. But a quick look through magisk and there's a "Google camera fix" module. Maybe try that?
On oreo Gcam slowmo don't work.
You can install nokia camera work but not the same quality of oos camera..
the Nokia camera port have a working slow mo on Oreo...it's a little buggy but mostly works, search in the forums you'll find it.
Have you found any slow motion camera that works on Android Pie? I've tried Snapdragon Camera which crashes now but worked for Oreo. Nokia Camera is able to switch to slow motion mode, even save the recorded video but the output is the same as normal video.
Did anyone find an answer to this? I've heard that the OnePlus camera is on apkmirror and that could work..

Nokia 8.1 TA-1043 HDR mode not working in stock camera

I have nokia 6.1 TA-1043 running with android p. After upgrading android p i got the camera app update as well. Now the camera app doesn't have a HDR toggle. It has a setting to enable auto hdr mode. But the HDR mode doesn't work at all. I tried resetting the phone as well but the HDR is not working. I can't uninstall the camera app update as well since now it only gives the option to disable the app only. The camera app version i have is 91.9.11.30.40. is this a known bug in all the nokia 6.1 with android p ?

Not all those gcam versions work. Some are slow or shutdown. You have to check which one is working for you.

Well i tried a gcam version for potriate mode but the problem with hdr+ is that the pictures taken in low light are too grainy. Do u know any gcam version which result in a more better image in low light ?

Face unlock failed / Camera is in use

Hello there,
Recently after updating my OnePlus 7t to open beta 3 I've noticed a strange issue with the cameras. About 2 hours after every reboot camera related features start malfunctioning. I can't use face unlock, because "camera is being used by other apps", I can neither use the stock camera app because I get a toast notification saying "the camera is in use". The main back and front camera seems to be working in every other app like snapchat, gcam (although telephoto and ultrawide don't work on gcam). After reboot everything goes back to normal for some time.
I tried:
- cleaning data of all camera services and the camera app itself and face unlock app
- re-adding my face model
- uninstalling AUX camera magisk fix (which enables telephoto and ultrawide to work in gcam)
Is anyone else having this issue? Iwould love to solve this problem without reverting back to open beta 2, as it lacks some features I like in OB3. Thanks in advance for help!

I am facing the same issue with the latest beta update? Got any fix for this?
Are you sure you dont have some app spying on you. Probably using the camera thats why its being reported in use
It's caused by GCam. Not sure about stock OOS cam.

I doubt it, as the issue is only in stock Oxygen OS apps (camera, face unlock). My theory is that they use some camera service made by Oneplus which has broke in my phone. Other apps, such as Snapchat or Gcam do not utilise such service, and the main cameras work just fine in those apps (telephoto and ultrawide don't work, because they propably must be accesed via this service). But it's just my theory
