Hi,
I didn't find information about this yet. I am new to Android but never intended to use stock, so I bought the Z1c and flashed CM11. The only thing I miss are video recordings with 60 or even 120 FPS, as possible with stock firmware. Now, please correct me, if I am wrong. AFAIU it is not easily possible to port the stock camera because of the dependency of Sony's framework (even if I don't understand the difficulties about this and why nobody did it yet?). If I understood correctly, the drivers extracted blobs from stock-ROM, so it not being able to record videos with high frame rates is not an issue of the camera driver but of the camera app. I also didn't find an alternative camera app providing this functionality.
I read that Android L will bring much more possibilities to the camera API, so apps could be able to 'get the full performance of image sensors', as I read in some news article. It will be possible to take RAW images as well as setting the exposure time, aperture, fps etc manually, even if the device manufacturer wants to limit these functions. Do you see maybe a possibility to get high-speed recording with Android L based CM(12?)?
/e: nevermind, did't read properly.
Hey folks,
has anyone of you found out how to use the OP3 with Google Cardboard apps, YouTube 360° Videos or other VR apps?
The moment i enter a VR mode in any of the apps or YouTube 360°, the OP3 doesn't react to any movements (which is the sense of VR) any more. So looking around isn't working, mostly the apps even don't start and are stuck one the initial screen. In YouTube 360° videos i can only look straightforward, a look left or right is impossible.
I'm on the latest stock OTA 3.2.0 version of OxygenOS. Nothing else changed, no root or other modifications.
Regards,
Mika
Oookay, this was a software issue. I just restarted the OP3 once, and everything is fine and working like expected. God knows why ...

Click to collapse
The always on display part is easy, but not the now playing feature.
Google Lens is "compatible" on Tab S4 (WiFi, SM-T830) but the Google app (Lens is included in this app) crashes all the time. That is my problem.
When I want open Google Lens over different ways, Google Lens crashes. I tried to open it in Google Photos and with the Lens Launcher app from the Play Store. Sometimes Google Lens re-launches after the crash in Google Photos and it works.
Google Lens is available in my country and it works on my OnePlus. I am also logged in. That's not the reason for the crash.
I also tried different versions of the Google app and I also resetted my Galaxy Tab S4. The issue is present since the start and the update to Pie didn't solve it.
The answer of the Samsung support was: please contact Google.
Does anyone have an idea to fix the issue or to get the reason for it?
I would suggest to reflash the whole system.
I am not interested to root the tablet or install a custom rom.
the same problem after update pie9 on T830 - the application closes continuously - crashes...
(on my op5 oos 9.0.5 works very well without problem )
Has anyone tried to port the new version of google assistant i.e 2.0 for Android 10?
I'd love to see that too.
Yes I just tried it
It did not work all I had was a dark themed assistant
