What battery figures are you guys getting? Sot, type of usage, installed apps etc. Thanks.
Used the phone almost 12 hours exactly (11h 59m 26s) and at 75% battery.

Thanks for your reply. So that would translate to approximately 6 hours sot I guess?
Anyone else have some numbers please?

It seems like I'll get 4-6 hours of SOT with two sim cards and a bluetooth smartwatch constantly connected. I've been more concerned with measuring standby time than SOT though. Doing a pure standby test, the phone drains just under 1% per hour as far as I can tell... about 6% in 7 hours.
Having left the phone alone, charged to 100%, I'm at 91% after 12 hours, with 5 minutes of SOT. This is on latest EU rom, which is based off of the MIUI 9 developer version released on Sept 22.
Hopefully standby improves with future updates, but generally I've found with two SIMs, standby times just can't be very good on any phone.

After doing my best to drain this beast, I ran the phone 6 hours as a hotspot, along with constant fiddling with the phone because the device is so sweet. Once I got home, I fired up my Slingbox app, and set the brightness to max, and let the phone stream 1080p via 4G until the device died, ~4 hours later.
I push my devices to the limit daily, and have held onto a s6 edge + for so long because the battery recharges so fast, and lasts quite long. However, I still use a Zerolemon case with a 8500mAh battery, because i tether so much. I've also gone through the Pixel XL 128, Xperia Z5 Premium, s8+, and was unimpressed by the battery life when tethering, and playing slingbox.
The Mi Mix 2 is hands down my new favorite phone. I installed playstore, and used the Package disabler app that was only samsung exclusive, to take admin control, and remove the chinese apps. The only thing I am left trying to figure out, is getting sam pay to work from my Gear s3.
Cheers.

Excellent. Thanks for the information. I was considering the Mate 9 until I saw the prices and the leaked pics. But it's the Mix2 I've always wanted with the smaller battery being the only question mark. Looks like battery life won't be a problem at all.
Battery life gets closer to the original mix than I expected, Snapdragon 835 and reduced screen size do help compensate more for the battery reduction than I thought it would. I'm on wifi at home but I'm always tinkering with the phone, browsing, reading books, etc etc. I plug it in every day but since I initially charged it to full, I haven't gotten the battery down to 50%. Even if I forget to plug it in after I come home, the phone "rewards" you for leaving it alone. I'm sure as I use more features and apps (shopping for a smartwatch) I'll drain it quicker. Not allowed to use phone at work, I can only do quick tasks for a few seconds at a time. Snapdragon 835's strength seems to be power usage while idling. Again, as I add more apps and features and on days when I'm bombarded by notifications, it will drain faster. I was out of touch with smartphone progress for the past 3 years, I appreciate quick charging more than I expected. I just got up during typing this post to check on the phone. I haven't even moved the charger to the bedroom and that's a good sign. I woke up, phone was at 55%, plugged it in, made coffee, browsed the internet, started posting here and battery is back to 97%.

That's impressive. I'm going to be ordering in the next few weeks. I'm leaning towards the 64gb model as I never use above 25gb on my phones thanks to Google Photos.
I'm really impressed with the Mix 2. MIUI 9 Beta. Battery optimization as well as MIUI Optimization turned off as well no battery saver mode used.
Take a look at the remaining percentage compared to screen on time.
Lots of reading news, YouTube, playing music by streaming, taking photos. This charge primarily on wifi, 90 minutes 4G.
Standby is also very very good indeed. Went to bed last night with 43 procent left. After 7 hours down to 39.

Review of 3500 mAh Extended Battery for Samsung Galaxy S II
Changelog:
Code:
05/04/12 - Updated with Days 5 & 6
03/04/12 - Updated with Day Three and Day Four
01/04/12 - Updated with Day Two
I bought an extended battery (3500 mAh) from eBay for about $7 CAD, and it finally arrived the day before yesterday.
When I put it into my phone it was already at 74%. After charging it overnight, I started using it the next day at around 7:30 AM.
Before I post the screenshots of my extended battery (Edit: if anyone is wondering, data is usually always on, and brightness is set to Auto), let's have a look at the original stock 1650 mAh Samsung battery life:
Stock Samsung 1650 mAh Battery:

With some simple math, at 9% remaining, this would have lasted me just over 7 hours before reaching 0%.
Conditions of usage: As you can see, I like to use my phone a lot with 76% screen time . I barely used my data/wifi. Data was on but not active, and most of the screen time was spent on Moon+ Reader.
Time lasted: On an average day, (I use data a lot and I play games) I would get about 5 h 45 min or less out of my phone. As you can see from the screenshots above, this wasn't really an average day so it lasted longer, which is reasonable as I did not use data very much.
ROM info: Westcrip's Resurrection Remix ICS Pro 1.0 with the kernel that comes with it.
Now let's compare this with the battery life of the 3500 mAh battery.
3500 mAh Extended Battery
Day 1 [30/03/12]:
Time lasted: A whopping 9 hours 20 minutes.
Conditions of usage: As you can see I was connected to wifi most of the time, and unlike the previous screenshots, I was using wifi/data a lot. I don't know why it says screen time is only 28% though because as you can see in the second picture I had "screen on" a lot.
A charge cycle has Battery Monitor reporting this battery's estimated/measured mAh to be 3074 mAh.
Only 500 mAh difference from advertised capacity, but not bad for $7, if I do say so myself. And this is only the first charge/discharge cycle, so I expect an increase in a couple days.
ROM info: AOKP (bezke's), with Siyah Kernel for ICS beta 7.
Day Two [31/03/12]:
This is the result of the second day of using the extended battery:
Time lasted: 8 hours and 30 minutes.
Conditions of usage: Now as you can probably tell I've used my phone a lot more today, with screen on at 40%. I had a lot of free time, so I was pretty much constantly on my phone, using data and also listening to music (through external speakers just below medium volume). Still not bad compared to stock battery. Data was always on, and brightness set to auto, and music was playing through the speakers for about under two hours.
ROM info: AOKP (bezke's), with Siyah Kernel for ICS beta 7.
Day 3 [01/04/12]:
Now a bit of a funny/interesting story here. First, let's see the screenshots and I'll explain:
Seems pretty standard here. But I decided to turn off wifi and data and keep using it a bit, just for texting and reading ebooks. And when the screen was off, I managed to get it into ~97% deep sleep. So, this was the final result before the battery died.
Almost a whole extra hour usage, and here is CPU Spy's report on Deep Sleep. However, this is not standard. If you're like me, you like using your phone a lot. So we won't count this last screenshot.
Time lasted: 9 hours and 6 minutes.
Conditions of usage: Standard again as usual, but screen time is a bit higher. Unfortunately as a user requested I forgot to take a screenshot of the screen time. I will do it for the next day though. In the meantime, get out your calculator, haha.
ROM info: HyDrOG3N-ICS (AOKP), with latest codeworkx kernel.
Day 4 [02/04/12]:
This is the fourth day result.
Screen time screenshot included as requested.
Time lasted: 7 hours 35 minutes.
Conditions of usage: Today's usage was not very standard at all. I used data almost constantly today, and played around with Cerberus which also consumed a bit of battery life through the GPS and data/wifi. Phone got pretty hot through the constant usage which I hear drains battery faster. I also watched some videos and flash videos too.
ROM info: HyDrOG3N-ICS (AOKP), with NEAK 2.0.1 kernel.
Day 5 [03/04/12]:
Unfortunately there won't be any screenshots for today. My phone crashed and somehow the battery usage got reset, so there's no point. There will still be a report for today as per usual of course.
Time lasted: From 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM, the battery lasted me about 9 hours.
Conditions of usage: Not much to say really. Conditions were normal, and so was the time the battery lasted. ~9 hours, occasionally less, seem to be becoming standard.
ROM info: HyDrOG3N ICS (AOKP) with SiyahKernel v3.0rc2.
Day 6 [04/04/12]:
Here's the report for Day 6. And as you will see, wow, the results aren't standard at all. Also included is Battery Monitor's report on the measured mAh along with details for Screen time.
Time lasted: 7 hours and 2 minutes.
Conditions of usage: 7 hours isn't very standard at all. It's a pretty wide deviation from the norm, but my explanation for this is that I was very very bored. As you can see from the "Screen" time, it says 48% but I actually used it for 5 hours and 6 minutes, which is an astounding 72.5% of screen on time. I amaze myself sometimes. So data was always on but not constantly active, and I played some flash videos and even a flash game, and I was testing out GPS on HyDrOG3N ICS (which sucked at getting a lock-on) so all these factors drained my battery. I also watched some videos on my phone as well.
ROM info: HyDrOG3N ICS (AOKP) with SiyahKernel v3.0rc2.
So in conclusion:
This battery seems well worth it. I am very satisfied with the battery life, and if you are a person who likes to play with his phone a lot (games, Reddit all day, browse the internet), then I recommend this phone as it will last you a good amount of time without needing a charge.
I will be continuing to post updates and screen shots this week as I continue using this battery. Subscribe and look forward to it!

thank you for the update on this. i am quite convinced now not to buy batteries from china
I bought one of these 3500mah batterys for $8.5 from Dealextreme and I am really happy.
My usage at work at times would be consistent to the point of telling the time by the battery percentage so I had a good baseline comparison test to do.
Under the stock battery running the FM Radio for 4 hours with no other use (I work midnights so no calls or anything) would consistently drain 21% of my battery.
With the 3500 it only drains 10% in the same time.
That works out to the battery working as advertised, slightly of double battery life for a battery that is slightly over double size.
It looks good for now, but please come back with a review in 3 months and we'll see how it fares
What's the font used here?
I'm using an extended 3500mah Spider-Foot since in August 2011.
My battery monitor measures it between 3100 to 3200 mAh. After 8 months of use I'm pretty happy. Costed $10 -
Maybe I'm missing the point why I should buy a 10x priced battery with approx same capacity?
Does it increase phone speed?
Well there must be a reason but I haven't figured it out yet.

Thats why im asking how long. % doesnt really mean anything. Click the screen when you are viewing the battery stat. It should tell you how long it has been one for.
Well I just checked, and the percentage corresponds with the number of hours I've been on battery. No seriously, I went ahead and did some math and it was pretty close to the actual screen time value I get when I click it
So while I don't have a screenshot of screen time for Day 2, by my calculations, with 8 and a half hours and 40% screen on time, the actual number of hours is about 3 hours and 30 minutes.

Look at how little time his phone is awake and his screen is on. That's maybe like 5% total out of 5 days, which is about 6 hours total. My phone gets that in one day if I'm really bored so it's still about the same amount of drain.
I use my phone a lot, as my sole entertainment device. Games, movies, Internet, whatnot. My usage is more realistic than his, however impressive 5 days is. I'm sure if I barely touched my phone I would have the same results. (97% deep sleep is usually achievable unless I'm using it)

Hi Note 3 owners, are you getting 16 hours plus on the Note 3 as I do on ny Note 2 with 3 + hourse of screen time? Im considering Note 3 or G Flex (But has low resolution )
Thanks in advance.
6.5 hrs
Really depends on how you use the phone, what kind of signal you get, how you work inside, if you play games etc.
Typically I get a good 10 hours on my phone without any charging, but I am seldom in that position, I have wireless chargers at work and home and charge any time I am sleeping.
Never had a note 2 to compare with but this phone is way better than my previous and I use it a lot more than the old one.

Thought the 6.5 hours was a joke. Wow 10 hour is not mutch unless you are a extra heavy user. I would usually get between 14 to 16 hours with about 3 hours of screen on for internet and gaming. This was on Jedi Master x20 with custom rom

The G flex isnt even out yet? Its been out for nearly 3 months, its called the unlocked korean version.
Second, I dont care what screen shots one provides, u cannot get 10hrs of screen on time of "normal usage" on the note 3, thats not happening unless your goal is to squeeze as much battery life as possible to prove that it can. If that's the case then even the S4 can do that, all u have to do is set the brightness at zero and swipe through the home screen the whole day. Then maybe make a phone call or 2 then boom! 8 hrs of screen time achieve but whats the point? Were talking average normal usage. If the G flex cant do it the note 3 certainly cant.
There was a thread in the one x forum where a guy pulled off 12 hours of screen on time. Do u think thats its normal usage? Be real guys.

Um in the states its not released so to most people who live in America don't have it. But it is normal usuage. My note 2 was able to get 8 Hours normal usage no playing games but internet, youtube, messaging, etc... its called customizing your phone to perform well at a battery saving stand point. On my note 2 i was running a kernel, rom, and undervolted and made everything the phone can do to push more battery life and it did. 8Hours screen on time, 12-14Hrs on battery overall.
I got about 7hrs of SOT with 17hrs of off charger time yesterday. Mostly used on WiFi.

lol use my phone? More days then not I'll have an hour or so of YouTube, about 2.5-3 hours of SlingBox or Netflix going over data not wifi, i stream music for a 1-1.5 hours throughout the work day maybe an hour of web surfing 15+ emails each day and I use the Action Memo instead of pen and paper for random stuff all day and will still be at 45-50% battery left. That's not that far off from a typical day and thats fairly heavy use, so yeah, my Note 3 pulls this off. Don't hate if yours doesn't. Maybe I average closer to 9 hours of screen time but i have regularly seen 10-10.5 hours.
Screenshot is from yesterday and is a light day of use though I did watch 4 episodes of Breaking Bad and an hour of the Super bowl in HD from my slingbox (My GF drug me out of the house last night). I don't usually take SS but a friend was asking what i was getting yesterday on my Note 3 so i took one.

I never specified the region did I? Fact is the G flex is out. And actually folks have the flex from today in the US (at least AT&T) so what now?
Now youre bringing the note 2 when were actually talking about the note 3. If he was getting 10 hours of screen on time with normal usage then we should see more of it in the battery life thread right? But guess what? We do not. Everybody knows that the note 3 has good battery life, but 10 hrs of screen on time? You have to be kidding yourself. Nobody gets that on average unless again, youre doing everything you can so you can reach that to post it here for bragging rights. I think it is misleading as some folks might wanna purchase this phone thinking that its that kind of battery life they would get.

I do tweak my phone. The only thing i do though is restrict background data on apps i don't need running in the background. I leave my location settings (wifi setting) on but not GPS and i have email sync once an hour not every 15 min. I have my google account sync turned off as i just sync it only when i add new calender events or new contacts. There is no need to have it sync 30 times a day for nothing. I use no battery saver apps as they usually just eat battery running in the background so it can watch stuff.

Our devices use a 4600 mAh battery and was wondering if anyone ever actually sees that figure? I've been struggling to get more than 4-5 hours use and started investigating why. The highest I've ever seen on a full charge is 4309 and the average is about 4260-4280.
Another strange thing I've noticed is that if I start playing a game with 100% charge and the tab plugged in I still loose about 1% per minute.
I've tried multiple roms and they all seem about the same as far as battery usage goes. Right now I'm back to the stock LG KitKat as it seems to perform about the best for me and very stable. I use the battery calibration app and was wondering is there another that might work better?
In closing looking forward to any suggestions or advise
Yep,same for me.battery life is terrible.have tried multiple roms, lucky to get anywhere near 4hrs.

I just tried an experiment, 100% charged, unplugged tab w/o turning anything on and I already lost 7% in 15 minutes !! I have Greenify installed and all non system apps hibernated and it still eats the battery.
My Sero Pro can sit all day and only loose 1%. If I could be sure I would receive a perfect unit I would consider RMA. But after reading all the issues with the screen problems I'm not going to take the chance. My tab is perfect aside from battery life.
I found a replacement battery on Ebay and am considering buying it to see if I have a bad battery. Something definitely isn't right.
I went to Mahdi rom as soon as I got my tablet about 2 weeks ago. This past weekend I did two battery tests.
These tests were done with wifi always on (medium signal strength, most google apps synced, google location reporting off, no twitter/facebook app, no greenify or any power management apps
If I left the display on indoors at auto brightness, it lasted for about 7-8 hours.
If I left the tablet idle (display off), it consumed about 3% per day (most of it consumed by wifi).
I would suggest trying the same thing with yours and see whether its a hardware issue. You can just do it for a few hours and extrapolate.
I've never calibrated my battery (drain until its empty) unless I notice an erratic drain from a constant task.
Mine is the same, not being used it drains almost nothing. Currently mine is at 49%, been unplugged about 12 hours with 2:47 of screen on time according to the battery stats in settings. 100% stock KitKat, bluetooth off. 15 minutes of screen off (with the screen on long enough to look at battery settings) and no % lost.

Same. If I leave it in standby overnight, I see zero battery drain (in 8 hours). I also tested a full HD movie (1080p) in full screen at 45% brightness and medium loudspeaker volume, and measured roughly 12-14% drain per hour, which suggests it could run 7-8 hours of movie playback on a single charge.
I'm happy with my battery usage. I think it's at least as good as my 2012 N7.
Here's a screen shot of usage just reading the other day. Keep in mind I mainly stop my tablet charging at between 90-95% as often as possible.

I'm with the OP as far as battery drain goes. Mine loses almost 10% in 12 hours at idle with wifi on. With wifi off it'll lose about 3-4% in 12 hours. I haven't done a full to zero test, but battery life is not that great on my personal unit. That is the only thing I don't like about it. I'm running idterror's v50018a ROM.

Then you have an issue with software you installed. It is neither the battery nor the ROM.
Well I went ahead and ordered the battery. I'm fairly confident it'll solve my problem. To Subtleone, with my tablet even with a barebones install I still have real bad battery life. It does not change very much between barebones and all my apps installed.

I don't think so. Even with a barebones install I get similar battery drain. But I knew the G Pad had terrible battery life going in as noted by every industry review I read prior to purchase.
Don't have any battery problems here (stock KitKat, rooted and most non-system apps greenified), get about 6 hours screen-on time at 70-100% brightness when reading books (wifi off) and an hour or so browsing/youtube'ing.
Are people actually going by unplug time until the device physically shuts down, or just what the battery bar claims? Battery stats are rarely 100% accurate, and there's protection measures built in to prevent a battery actually reaching 100% or 0% despite what the device says.

Except that I don't have terrible battery life. In fact, most don't. With KitKat (the one in my sig), with WiFi on, I get exactly 0% drain after 8 hours with it in standby (not actually off). Zero. Needless to say, I do not have any known battery killers such as the Facebook app.
At 45% brightness or so, I see about 13% battery drain after an hour of watching a 1080p movie in full screen with sound coming through loudspeakers.

Biggest battery eaters are apps like Google+ and Facebook.
UCCW and Weather apps too. Also having gps on.
There's some smashing eye candy apps for use and just for info on your lockscreen, they all seem to suck juice like no tomorrow. It's all the updating they do.
Best advice is to use something like wakelock detector to highlight your problem apps, then use greenify to get them to sleep properly. Also have your wifi set to only stay on when your tablet is plugged in.

To test a lot of theory I loaded up stock LG KitKat this A.M. . After letting it install and rebooting 3 times in 60 minutes I turned off WIFI and GPS and left it idle. In 4 hours and 12 minutes I was at 79%. Keep in mind when I left it idle the last time I was at 100%.
So at least in "my" case its most certainly not the software. My battery is scheduled for delivery 5/9/14. I'm hoping that will solve the battery issues.
Once I receive the new battery I'll update the thread. And thanks for the replies

My GPS is always on so I do not think it drains battery in any unusual way. I'll also add that it works darn well. I used the tablet for navigation in a car and it was impressive.
So to continue the theories I put my screen @ 50% watched 60 minutes of 1080p video via MX Player and lost 31%! That's totally bare aside from MX Player. So after seeing Subtelone's results I'm very convinced I indeed have a bad battery.
I know it's not a fair comparison but I've been using my mum's Acer W4 tablet as my 8.3 is being repaired for bad LCD (mura/spots). The W8.1 tablet actually gives me about 8-9 hours of web browsing time. Yes, it's got fewer pixels to push but bear in mind it is running the full fat Windows 8! I just think it's quite disappointing that the LG pad for me barely lasts 4 hours SOT when I mainly use it for web browsing.

Yes, something is seriously wrong with your battery if everything else is identical. My results are exactly as posted.
I got my Pixel 2 XL 3 weeks ago and love it. My battery has had mixed results. On my best day I have had 5 hours of SOT but it seems lately it has been mediocre at best. I will get about 16 hours of total battery life with ~2 hours of SOT. I am mostly on WI-FI during the day with about 2-3 hours on LTE when I am commuting on a train. I keep my screen at 25% brightness and have adaptive display turned off. I do keep GPS on high accuracy and bluetooth on (for my pixel buds when I ride the train). I speculate it is due to poor LTE reception when I am at home (I work from home while I commute to classes in the evening) due to the results I got on the GSAM app (screenshot below). But I have also noticed a lot of drain from Google Play Services and the Android System.
I do have intensive apps such as Facebook and Snapchat.

That actually sounds reasonable considering your usage pattern. Bluetooth, poor cell signal, Snapbook, Facechat, and lots of movement are all known culprits for decreased battery life. Are you stock or rooted?? If rooted there's a magisk module to help keep Google play services in check

I have the Google Pixel 2 XL since one week now, I also find that the battery is drain quickly. I have maybe 4-6 heurs SOT. ( depending what i`m doing with the phone) but the most of the time i use discord and instagram, youtube. I have also poor LTE connection at my job.
i had read it have a issue with Android 8.1 or maybe Google Play Services. I don't know if it was fixed or not.

It's probably because of your low number of posts.
Judging from these screenshots I think your bad signal is an important reason for this. Did you try using only 3G when commuting or at home? Don't you have wi-fi at home? You should check the drain when the phone has good signal. If the drain is the same, then maybe there's something else (like Google Services etc.).
But the GSam graph shows atrocious signal most of the time.

It is a little ridiculous. I am in somewhat poor LTE reception in my apartment but in an hour I had 5% drain with only 8 minutes of SOT. My battery usage breakdown is from 100% to 95%:

Screen (41mAh)
Android System (21 mAh)

If you have Wi-Fi at home why not disable Mobile Data while you are there?
Uninstall facebook and reinstall it. I had a problem where my battery life got bad after an update and that was the culprit. Wasnt showing up in the usage chart either.

I did just that and what a difference! Turned on airplane mode but then turned on Wi-Fi and Wi-FI calling. From full charge over night to this evening I was able to get ~3 hours SOT and I still have 50% battery. Very happy. Now when I am home and connected to wi-fi, I will always turn off cellular. i can tell you i have had it since release date and i use it for work all day for calls and then the evening and it always excels and i plug in at night with at least 20%. i dont get into every aspect of my phone and roms etc.. like i use to but the last 4 days my battery did change and especially on last sunday when it was at 20% at 3pm which i have never seen.
as i said i dont keep up anymore but i came here again because of this change and assumed i would find something like an install of a new play services or something as i felt i wouldnt be alone.
i did see an improvement when i did a restart but something has definitely changed for me and i assume it was an update i just hit install and dont look into every one of them anymore.
so typically the battery is well above par and i have all the latest phones and have for years
meant to add that the Sunday issue Phone was the biggest user but today Apps was 45%

This worked for me. I had cleared the cache and data from the Facebook app and I guess it hangs something up for "Android system" in battery usage page.
It's amazing how much we actually use our phones in a given day, especially when we watch "videos"! Rate this thread to express how many hours of screen-on time you can get on the Sony Xperia XA2 before depleting the battery.
Then, drop a comment if you have anything to add!

I think it's not the processor, it's the screen. It is very good, due to a good safety of brightness.
If needed i can make some tests, like screen time of youtube via wi-fi on max brightness, i think it will be ~6h of SOT.
I'm getting those numbers. Pretty good to me, finally I'm charging each other day.

i am too very happy with my XA2 battery life it can easily last 2 days with my mediocre to some times heavy use and if it really pushes itself i can get up to 12h SoT on wifi and around 10h with mobile network which beats my old p9l SoT 3 times.
lol, are you people not using your phones at all and just leave it with screen on?
I'm barely getting 4 h...
How? Explain to me please. Also, battery overheats up to 45-50 degrees when charging on sofa.

It differs very heavily on use most of the time i use my phone for chatting calling camera music listening and YouTube with these i get around 10hr SoT all day i do game on it some times and when i do the battery shortens this matters on how long etc if i hold a gaming session with my friends it tends to make me go for a charger in about 4hr SoT it also differs on what is enabled like BT wifi mobile network GPS etc and the screen brightness which for me is around 35% always except when I'm using the phone on the street and for heat issues i don't have them or just didn't notice it yet is it happen to you while charging? Try to use less the phone while charging or charge without case i usually don't use my phone while charging as i charge over night or it charges fairly quick to a good 60-70% battery.

Thanks for the response. So, 5-10 min in the sun, even not charging, battery just went up to 47 degrees (also one reboot).
As for the SoT, on average, I'm using the phone for voice calls, texting in Telegram, reading news from Google Now feed using Chrome and a bit of Instagram. BT is always on as I use it in my car, as for WiFi, I have it set to switch off when sleeping. I even installed Greenify, so phone goes to sleep faster. I always charge without a case. And in the car, near the windshield I have to use an A/C if it's sunny, even when not using the phone, because it overheats a lot.

No, not random reboot, thankfully, I rebooted it myself, just said it to underline the fact that it overheats a lot when starting.
I'm running the latest software, of course. Alright, will try to ask Sony Support, but I'm pretty sure, all they will say - do a factory reset.
My phone barely lasts a day, how did you get to 2 days? Do you use it very little?

Just don't use the stock ROM. It comes with a lot of bloat that always runs in the background and drains the battery.
On LineageOS you can adjust which apps are allowed to run at boot or stay active in the background. These settings are somewhat hidden in the privacy options of Trust.
Roughly translated from German:
Settings -> Security & Data Protection -> Trust -> (Privacy) Data Protection -> (tap the three dots) extended/additional options
In there, I've disabled background usage for a ton of apps. I don't need Facebook or Instagram starting at boot or always running in the background, for example. The only thing that always runs is Whatsapp.
With these tweaked settings, my phone lasts about 2 1/2 days with moderate usage (some browsing on the way to work, listening to music etc.)

Well in all honesty I'm not a very heavy user but I do listen ti alot of music and use to call or chat with my friends family etc and the phone is mostly in use so like to that close to 2 days there's around 8h SoT involved with minimal gaming but I mostly do that at home with charger being close either way make use of the stamina mode if needed there's performance preferred option too make sure to not exclude just the must apps from power save if you excluded any before it is a good idea to do a full charge to 100% and then wait like 10 minutes once per week (this only if you charge similar to me to put up in the morning with fast charge to 95~%) and ofc screen brightness NFC GPS etc make sure to disable all that's not needed for me GPS is on battery saving mode and NFC is by default on for some reason so don't forget to turn that off as well either way P is already confirmed early in 2019 which will bring adaptive battery that should improve the battery quite nicely

What your mentioning are really good methods to save battery specially Los is a very light firmware ? but I need to disagree abit as not everyone has the nerve to screw with custom roms etc and for that part they most likely will stay stock either way in your post I only disagree with the part where you say it's bloated yes it is that's sure but it's not even close to some like miui or emui otherwise good tips for long battery

On LineageOS, I use HedgeCam 2 and I don't miss any features. It's got MORE features than the stock camera app.

Depends. The European ROM seems to be extremely bloated compared to other versions. But there's a dedicated thread for that.
Maybe it's better in the USA.

Is the quality the same?
Yes. Full 23MP for photos and 4k 60fps video recording.
Ok so i don't know if this is from the latwst update, but my usage got significantly improved.
I still do a bit of gaming at school and watch YouTube videos(with yt using the most battery).
I can now easily get day or more of battery life, good job on that update sony?
