[Q] 16GB micro SD causes failure

Hey guys,
since i've bought an new micro SD-Card (Transcend) of 16 GB size and put it into the Desire (rooted) it doesn't continue after the HTC boot screen. Thought of a mechanical failure of the card, but bought a second one (SanDisk) and still the same problem. With my 4 GB card there is no problem, but always with the 16 GB cards. Even can't create an ext on the 16 GB cards, if this b.t.w. is necessary. But still clueless because the 4 GB card is working... Any idea?
Greetz,
Gabs
If you've used a custom ROM with A2SD+ or D2Ext, then you need to reflash the ROM, or copy the content of the EXT partition to the new one.
Also use Gparted to create a partiton, that always works.
Thanks man, worked!

which one is better? swapping internal memory to sd card OR partitioning of SD card

since xperia m has very little internal storage, now i am looking to buy 32gb memory card but little confused about this methods.
is swapping works perfectly? i dont want write scrpt again and again on every reboot
or sd card partitioning is good?
please give me suggestion which one is good.
Maybe just use gl to sd app to move game files to sd card. This method is safe and easy.
I think partitioning the SD card is better.
I m using this and it's perfectly fine.
use link2sd to move apps
and gl2sd or foldet mount to move game data to SD card
Eh I just swapped internal with SD. You do it once and then you don't have to deal with other apps.

Internal memory Card /Sd Card ist full
Hello Guys,
I´m so sorry for my english (because it´s so bad) and for any mistakes I will do in this Forum.
I just have one problem: My internal memory is all in used , it´s full.
Yesterday I flashed my smartphone ( S3 GT I9300) and it felt like I did it about 100times, because of freeze and the wrong kernel etc.
Then I tried to get in a backup again, to save a Game again ( Clash of Clans) but the backup does not work, so I tried another and another and...
Suddenly I realised that my free memory gets smaller and smaller. So I actually have only about 200-300mb free.
But I did not put anything on the device. Quite the contrary. I erase already some backups to have more memory...
So exist there any method to " tidy up" the internal memory card??
Hope someone can help me.
Thanks a lot
I´m so sorry...
best regards Gotschi

[Q] sd unexpectedly removed

hello there , i have a problem with mY HTc chacha , i had bought kingston 8GB new memory card class 4 , and i am using link2sd to link my apps so that i could increase my internal storage , so i partationed my sd card , frist part for my songs , pics etc and i made it 7 GB ( fat 32 ) and the other one for apps (300 Mb)
at frist i made it ext3 , it works fine for a day and then it gave me error " sd unexpectedly removed " and when i restarted my phone i works well , then the same error appeared again :S so i formatted the 2d part with ext2 and tried and the same problem , finally i formatted it with fat 32 , it wokrs good for two days and then appears again , what should i do !

Problem with Ext Partitons

Hi there! Like many of us here i've come to realise that the 380mb of internal storage of my Arc S is insuficient!
So i've decided to try and partition my 16GB Sd card!
I've made a research and followed one of several guides here, basically, partition my sd on a FAT 32 partition and the other one Ext4 via MiniTools and then use Link2SD to move apps to SD Card!
I've unlocked bootloader and i was on a ICS Rom! But i decided to wipe it out and give a try some KitKat Roms like Carbon, CM11, Dark CM and others on Android Development Section and give it a try on Partition my SD!
The main problem here is that i'am having problems in maintaining the Ext 4 partition!
I leave 12GB to Fat32 and the other 4 on Ext4 partition! The problem is that in some roms, the memory is recognized and in internal memory it shows up 3 or 4 GB!
But after a few days of usage, and in 3 or 4 roms i've tried, i begin to experience random reboots and at some point the phone wont boot!! And i've have to do the all thing again!
On other Roms, i make the Ext partition but on phone it shows me internal memory 380MB free and not the 3 or 4 GB! I mean on Link2SD the 2nd partition shows up (on /data/sdext2) but not as internal memory!
What am i doing wrong here? I've even tried 2 and 3 Ext partitions! The results the same! Some times it works, other it doesn't! Am i giving too much GB to ext? I've tried with 2, 3 , 4GB and the same happens!
Is there any problem with KitKat roms and Arc S on this matter? I'am beginig to think on getting back to ICS!
Thanks!
I used 16GB memory card as well and also made 4GB Ext4 partition. I used Link2SD and never occurred a problem.
Did you use any other scripts in addition to Link2SD? I didn't check the internal memory in Settings that much, but I can't remember having seen more than 420MB in the settings.

but the objective here isn't that internal memory stays "linked" to the ext partition? becouse it did happen after i finish the process to check internal memory and showing up has 3 or 4GB.
Becouse otherwise whats the point of ext partition? And then, with only 420mb showing up i try install several apps, move them to sd card, and even then there's always some data that stays on internal and fills up quickly the 420mb!

[Q] SD card can't mount

Hello,
I know that this question have been asked many times and I've done quite some research on my problem, but I can't figure it out why my phone won't mount any sd card...
I've tested like 5 sd cards from different brand and storage (1 gb, 2 gb, 8 gb, 32 gb, 64gb), none of them worked. I formated all of them either as fat32 or exFAT, and of course using mini partition tool I set them as primary. I also read that I needed to set my internal sd partition as primary too, but I can't find where is this option or what tool to use.
As you can see on the screenshot, my phone is in stock rom and previously rooted in 4.3.
I also wanted to wipe my phone using SuperWipe, but since it's in the phone memory it didn't work at all.
Every time the phone tells me that my sd card is blank and in CWM it can't mount it either.
Could you help me out here please ?
Thank !
