Minimum brightness is just enough for eye comfort.

Nothing extraordinary here. on darker room or under roof condition, this is ok and are easy on eyes and min brightness works well under such scenario

use app screen filter to make it as dark as you like, even 100% dark (off)

Didn't get you mate. Please explain. I am not sure.

I have the cousin Huawei GT3 which is a honor 5C with fingerprint scanner and its brightness it surpasses my eyes on maximum, so i keep it at 54% which is enough and still very bright on ambient light .

Although this is a very old thread, I have noticed that my recent A2017G from Amazon.es has a very high minimum screen brightness. It is in fact binding when checking emails with the stock email app (with its white background) in a dark room.
Do others have the same thing?
My LG g4 can go way darker.

Mine too. Lo compré en Amazon también...
I use CF.lumen in combination with Pixel Filter for nighttime reading. This makes the display as dim as I want, and thanks to the AMOLED screen, it actually emits less light as you go dimmer, while the same Apps on an LCD screen will just put more blankets over the backlight that's still blasting right in your face.
Since you can achieve pitch black with CF.lumen alone, Pixel Filter might not be needed. I just use it to save some extra juice by shutting off half of the display entirely.
It would be nice if the regular brightness slider would go a bit dimmer, but the scheduling options of CF.lumen make it very bearable

The minimum brightness is still 1-2 notches too high e.g. in a dark room (not dimmed).
On minimum brightness you can still see enough details on screen indoors or even outdoors. There is no abrupt change in intensity.

minimum brightness is very low, in total darkness I normally use 2-5% brightness.
There is also the 'reading mode' that can make the screen even a bit less 'bright'.
And the amoled display (blacks pixels are turned off) makes it perfect to read and use at night.

It it low enough that you can look at it instantly at night. But I've found myself really not enjoying the clarity and colors at such low light levels, so if youre a late night browser, maybe turn on night light, insthead of turning down the brightness. I'm nitpicking by the way
