I would like some roms to test in maze alpha, it is a great device, it has already sold a lot. now we need to draw the developer's attention to our device.
Id be happy if I could figure out a way to unlock other 3g and LTE bands.
I'm ready to smash this phone!!!
on a side note, any one wanna buy a 6gb ram version ? lol

Interestingly quiet on this thread...
well... there isn't too much activity right now... but I think we all have our hopes that it will get better when/if ZTE step up.
I'm ok with the ZAD Mix ROM, root and the debloated ROM already available.
They are getting the finishing touches on CM 13 - everyone knows how it works by now. Once CM 13 gets going the rom scene EXPLODES! Give them a chance to get that going first
What @tabletalker7 said. Plus I will be making some cool new flashing tools soon.

Now that people have sort of figured out the goofy partitions of the Pixel, things are getting good. The PureNexus ROM is amazing, the few kernels we have are tremendous, and generally I'm content with it for the age of the device (and Nougat).
Its a flagship of Android so it will be used as a standard for development in alot of cases. That alone is worth praise to its longevity. It will likely be supported for years to come.
I love
I wondered the same thing, I just bought a pixel on ebay. Official support is just about over so i'm wondering how things are on the unofficial development.

Unofficial suport is still really good. We have a couple of roms such as LineageOS, Bootleggers, Pixel Dust, Benzo Rom, and some more but these are those posted on XDA and there are probably some outside. Much life left for this device! We still have security updates until October 2019 from Google. So after that we'll be relying on the custom development community for future security updates and future android versions. Since we have treble support there's no problem. Even if devs move away from this device we still could boot treble roms which there are plenty of.

Its top!
You have an really truly unbrickable phone (msm download tool is available), sources released by OnePlus, MultiRom, and some amount of custom kernels/roms.
Also you can probably change your bootloader splash screen.
The dev szene is just starting, but more and more roms are coming. Dev support seems to get really great, unified roms with oneplus 3.
Seeing as it's now easy to develop for both the 3 and 3T at the same time... I'd say it's going to expand pretty rapidly
So coustom ROMs for both OnePlus 3 and 3t gets unified?? That's great news

Why wouldn't they be unified? There's very little difference between the two. This is the exact reason unified rom development is even a thing.

this has been mentioned before multiple times by the mods. There are still differences. I see two seperate forums as a benefit for both devices.
I'm currently waiting for my OP3T , coming from a long line of android devices, then i briefly recently hopped over to iphone 6s+, and contemplated ending my life by beating the phone over and over on my skull over 6 months before i reactivated my nexus 6p . I'm excited about 6gb of RAM and SD821!
its nice to see this android device.
I think now that AOSPA is out for the 3 and 3t, it cannot be beat.
No words for this part though, the community is great and is working on keeping the phone well in the update loop.
The development scene is rocking now!! Almost all ROMs support this device along with many kernels, boot animations and other customizations. I even used Ubuntu Touch on it for a while. Solid phone and still a great daily driver.

It's not great. We've got 1 really awesome dev (Papp's) and literally no one else.

Mr Raines used to do a good job though. Many of users still use his Epic roms. He's being lazy after he owned a Mi6[emoji38] also he says he'll go on dev'ing when miui9 rolls out.

To be fair, Papp's is equal to at least 3 devs.
A big shoutout to Mr.Raines for making a working TWRP, saved me many hours of fustration. RR remix and kernals are pretty good too.

development is not good.
not good because of kirin..but it gets emui5 officially
Next to none development.
only 2-3 custom ROMs for this device and development for one of them stopped completely. This is due to Kirin which are difficult to built and then more difficult to troubleshoot.
Been using Arsenik V2 since July and no problem with that but still a pure stock android rom would have been a better option though it seems difficult now.
Pretty dead now.
Well, due to our few dedicated Developers for Honor devices, Development has tremendously increased and now we are flooded with ROMs and they are regularly being updated.
