[Test] MirrorLink... - Sony Cross-Device Development Themes and Apps

As Sony has removed this feature from certain devices I pulled the files from the latest X Performance ROM to see if it would work on my X Compact and so far so good, unfortunately I don't have a MirrorLink enabled device at hand to test if it fully works...

...if anyone could confirm if it does or not it would be much appreciated.
EDIT: Attachment removed as no one has confirmed if it works or not.

@SXUsr: A friend of mine can test it, can you post that link again? Was it a recovery flashable zip (please add some instructions, as I'm not Xperia user and my friend isn't used to any kind of modding).
Thx

As ggow said, userspace (that) isn't enough to have support.
You also need a kernel with the required code (which even latest X sources technically have, but it's not toggled on)

@SXUsr
That worked on a Xperia XZ with 41.2.A.7.53 and Duality Kernel (which has in fact CONFIG_USB_MIRRORLINK=y in the sources)
EDIT: please take note that this was with DRM restore though. It probably won't work without.

any chance to get that attachment back here for download and testing ?
thank you.

It was mirrored in the first page of the thread I linked
Of course, I hope you understand you are in the sony section, and that you'll need a supporting kernel.

sony xperia xz2 compact mirrorlink?
hey,
i d like to use Sygic car navigation. it supports MirrorLink but my phone dont.
can i start MirrorLink on my Sony Xperia XZ2 compact somehow?

XZ2 Compact
I'd really love to get mirrorlink up and running on my XZ2 compact. I have no idea what kernels are. Could someone point me in the right direction to what to do? Cheers!

[REQ] On-screen Buttons for stock .587

Greetings peers,
Re: On-screen-buttons for stock .587 (Arc).
I have been away for some time due to the fact I have an Xperia V (LT25i) now since December 2012. It is a very nice phone but I miss the modding of my good old Arc and the development/modding of Xperia V is not so advanced yet. :crying:
Please help me to find a working on-screen-button mod for my Arc (LT15i), I was looking in the Themes and Apps forum here, but the ones at the first and second page I tried was not working for me, it gave me bootloop after flashing it with CWM.
Please direct me to a post where I can download this mod for a clean stock .587 :good:
Ps. Xperia V has terrible battery life with Jelly Bean, but we are hoping for a firmware update and fix one day.

[Q] Is porting this 4.2.2 statusbar mod to an Xperia Play rom possible?

I found this guide here (actually it was featured on XDA) that shows you how to add the 4.2.2 statusbar on GB Samsung ROMs...
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2315342
Would it be possible to port this to an Xperia Play rom? In that thread someone posted a screenshot of it on an Arc rom I think, so it should be possible... I hope that other people like it too and someone takes the time to port this!
Here are two screenshots from that thread:

IF you want alternative this app will do the job it looks and fill the same. You can find it here on xda Just do search for it
[ AntTekQuickSetting_XDA_Ver1.5]
Thanks a lot guys. AntTekQuickSettings is really good but I'd still prefer the other method because the app uses like 40 MB RAM :\ Works nicely though!

[APP][KK][PORT]Sony Xperia Z3 Launcher for SIII

Hey guys!
I was scrolling through the XDA news and I found out that a Sony Xperia Z3 system dump is available! So I thought to port it to our S3 and it did work, however it has some bugs. But I thought to release it as soon as possible, because the Z3 is totally new! Click here to view the thread of the system dump. If you thank me, consider to thank him, too!
This is the first release, so don't except much of it. I will try to bring out new versions, when I have time. Don't ask for ETA's, I also have a real-life. If someone knows a fix to any bug/issue, PM me please or simply comment to this thread.

Bugs/Issues:
-FC's if you want to deinstall an app
-Navigation Bar gap (I may fix it in next version)
-It has the stock icons, not the Xperia Z3 one's(it is actually not a bug)
-You tell me!
How to install:
-Download the ZIP
-Reboot to recovery
-Flash the ZIP
-Reboot & Enjoy!

Smooth and very nice on my xperia neo v

[MOD] Fulmics BIOS/POST boot animation

I got bored, and made this simple animation for the LG G6 (you could probably install it on many other phones aswell, but the numbers and info are for the LG G6 (US997))
simplest way to install is to use "Bootanimation for Superuser" on the play store, if you have any requests or questions, feel free to ask.

That's great! Is there/could you make a more generic Android/Google version, I'd like to use this on my other devices too.

Because of the different aspect ratio, it would be difficult to edit this one, but feel free to use parts or all of it, some tips, it is much easier to start from a frame right before the screen needs to scroll and work backwards, if you want to check out my inspiration, https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=648555

Custom Roms and Moto Mods: do they work together?

I really want to put a custom rom on the phone, but I'm unsure if it will affect the functionality of the projector and battery mods I have. I also am having a hard time finding the z2 force on any supported device lists for the roms I was looking at. Any one know if paranoid android, dirty unicorns, or pac rom supports z2 force and if installing them will affect the functionality of my moto mods?
There aren't any custom roms for the z2 force out yet, however mods do work with custom roms on the other devices of the z series.
I suggest you look at the Moto z and see what they say about mods, since it's older.
They do for the most part, battery mode like the Mophie battery mode work just fine, and I've heard that the gamepad, projector and camera mod work. However the JBL speaker mod currently does NOT work. From what I understand it is being worked on, but there's more important things to fix.
Edit: hotswapping mods also doesn't work, needs a full restart for Android to recognise that the mod is attached.

DU just announced they will support Nash. Check their G+ page.
Official and weeklies will start rolling out on April 6th.
More important things need fixed: LTE for sprint, SeLinux and a few other things. This needs to be a phone before all the kinks for motomods to work 100%. Like stated above, they work, but hot-swap and speaker doesn't work.
