I hate, hate, hate the new way wallpaper is applied since the most recent update. Is there a way I can go back to just picking a pic and making it a stationary wallpaper? I don't want to have a crop a pic 1,000 times to try to get it the way I want it to look on the home screen. And I don't want it to shift in the background when I swipe to a different screen. I just want it to stay stationary.
Use another launcher
How do I do that?

Try Nova Launcher. Probably the best launcher.

How do I use a different launcher? I have no clue. I just turn on my phone and use what's there.

You must first install the new launcher from Google play.
For example Nova Launcher.
Thank you so much for the help! That's so much better!

Are you using the stock MIUI launcher or a third party launcher, like Nova or Apex? I know the wallpaper settings are linked to the stock launcher, so if you're not using it that could be the issue. When the stock MIUI launcher isn't running it can cause issues with the wallpaper settings
does it work in your phone? i'm ussing stock launcher. i tested in stock and wekly and dont work in any way.

I don't use the Stock MIUI Launcher any more, but when I did the lockscreen wallpaper rotation worked fine. I found it pretty annoying tho, so switched to Nova. I'm on MIUI Global ROM
Hello!
So, here you go: [CM/AOSP][NO ROOT]] Latest Xperia App for non stock ROM
There says about CM/AOSP, however, I've installed Launcher, Music and Weather without any problems on stock Crapwiz 5.1.1 and are running flawless. The other apks should work as well.
I didn't try on CM/AOSP rom, but should work since are meant for that.
There aren't any screenshots, but there's a post with a YouTube video showing the apps: https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=71689269&postcount=1051 .
PS: Xperia launcher is so smooth and it's ram usage is similar as TW one. It has some customization options too, like icons support, double tap anywhere on empty space on homescreen to turn screen off.
Launcher is awesome!
Too bad there is no option to set app launch animation, you can't get system animation.

Thank you very much! After my Xperia has broken, I own a Samsung. Since then, I miss this apps.
HI. I'm coming from Android 5 to 7. Is there anyway to make the home screen to return to the first page after reaching the last one?
I had this before. My home screen had 3 pages and after the 3rd, if I kept scrolling I return to the first one.
Thanks!

Thanks but I was trying to find if it can be done with a setting. Don't want to install anything else. Perhaps I lost this feature.
Don't know if everyone has this issue, but I've installed Nova and every time I rebooted my first home action went to the pixel launcher instead of Nova. After each reboot I was having to launch Nova, go into settings and set it as the default launcher again to make it work right. Freezing the pixel launcher disables the recent apps.
Doing some digging I found something that solved this for me. It has something to do with the broadcast receivers the pixel launcher is requesting.
I used SD maid to disable all of the pixel launchers broadcast receivers and it works great.
Hope this helps someone save some time as it wasn't straightforward to search for.
Never had this issue and I've been using nova since day one. And gestures work perfectly
Doesn't Nova break QuickSwitch recents though?
I've not had issues using the native gestures together with Nova Launcher. QuickSwitch works too. What I did was set the default launcher as Nova Launcher from the Pixel Settings app, doing it from Nova Launcher settings doesn't seem to make it stick for some reason.

I went to the receiver manager, clicked the three dots in the upper right, checked other and they showed up.
I also found that if I wait a bit after the home screen comes up before using it it doesn't have the weird launcher behavior. So it might have been a matter of waiting long enough for initialization too.

If your using Nova with root, you likely didn't wait long enough. Had the same issue as you here and there. If I waited a minute, was fine :good:

You too bruh! I don't hide root from Nova. I use it for the lockscreen swipe up gesture, and other accessibility features
What about lawn chair with quick switch and gestures?
@Badger50, I just got my Pixel 4 XL. Does using native gesture navigation work well with Nova now?

To be perfectly honest, I have no idea my friend. I don't like gesture navigation whatsoever. I'm a 3 button fan. Sorry I couldn't help
@Badger50 Oh I see, that's unfortunate! I guess I'll just give it a try and see what happens. Thanks anyway.

I used to use FNG on Oreo but I moved to Vivid NG on Pie. It works better for me.
I might keep on using it on my Pixel 4 XL but I want to give the stock gestures a chance. Only if I can use them with Nova though.

Yep.
I have tried various lauchers and all of them seem to have this same issue. When on home sceen I can't access recent apps with any 3rd party laucher. Is this a issue with my particular device? I am pretty sure it is no bug from the launcher as i have tried various launchers all of them have this same issue. Is there a fix for this as I don't like samsungs stock launcher.
Edit: The recent app window is working but has a delay of like 2seco ds
Anyone with the fix for this?
One UI is the best launcher to use on a Samsung.
What are the problems you have with it?

There is no problem with the launcher. I am used to vertical scrolling and stock like feel as i had a 6t. I want a similar experience here. One UI might be the best but point is I can't change is due to this recent app bug.

May need to wait for the 3rd party launchers to be updated.

I use Nova and Recent apps works. One thing I did notice was, if I debloat (i.e. disable) OneUI Home then recent apps dont work on Nova launcher.

For me, the recent apps are working and I'm on the stock OS One UI!
Nova launcher works for recent apps. But the gesture is not as fluid as it would be with the stock launcher. Try using good lock app and customize with one handed operation.
What do you mean by 'customize with one handed operation'? What does that have to do with the gesture?

That's what it does, uses swipe gestures from R/L sides to control multiple user selected functions including navigation and apps.

You're welcome. It's a great app especially suited to nest in the curve of the screen. The curved screen starts to make sense...

That might be for the better; the S22U screens seem to be breaking rather easily from short drops.

Recent apps are working but there is a delay in opening the window on all 3rd party lauchers!
