Stuck In Bootloop (GT-P25210) - Galaxy Tab 3 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I was trying to get a custom ROM on here with TWRP and I failed and soft bricked it. I managed to get it to get to download mode and used odin to reflash the stock image, but now it won't boot past the Samsung logo. I've tried factory reset, reflashing with odin, and cache clearing, but it still won't go past the logo. I've looked in other threads here, but all I've seen are others arguing with each other about what to do.

ok, download twrp (or any other Custom Recovery you like) and put your tablet in download mode. after that go to Odion and selec the custom recovery file in the PDA section(i recomend uncheck auto reboot because in some cases this action revert the custom recovery). When Odion end the flash turn the table and make the buttom combination to get in recovery, in samsung tablets usually is VolmUp+Power+HomeButton. And finally found a custom rom that you like and flash it! before flash roms make sure you make a full wipe and a full backup! Hope this work for you.

Screen stayed in samsung

Mine is stock 2.3.6 rooted.
I tried to flash other rom today after installing cwm.
However, I am not familiar with flashing...after flashing and reboot, the sreen only stayed in samsung
also I could not restore in cwm , as it said it failed to do( I pressed backup before in cwm..why it doesnt work)
and How could I install the stock rom again now?
download mode and recovery mode is available
I tried to use odin to install recovery again and the stock rom again.(installation is successful)
however, it just keeps rebooting(now showing the samsung-->GTS5660-->animation-->animation again-->animation again)
finally it is working now, as I tried to flash many times
However, I dare not to flash rom anymore..and I do not know really how to flash rom
go to recovery and do factory reset and then reboot

I can't seem to root

I went back to odin to get a fresh of my gs3. I did the 4.1.1 update and now i have an issue.
I can't seem to install any recovery on my samsung galaxy s3 in order to root it.
I have tried just about all the downloadable clockworks out there and even tried twrp...its no go. I do not know why this is happening because I never had this problem before when rerooting my gs3.
Any one faced this before? suggestion?
You need to flash recovery via odin.
If you want just flash root66 lastest firmware which is in rooted version too.
Stock recovery is overwriting your custom recovery. Need to access recovery mode after you flash, but before the device can boot (so that the custom recovery can disable to automatic flashing script).

I am not quite sure what you are saying here about needing to access recovery mode after I flash...I flash the clockwork recovery mode and when i go to access it, i only see the stock.
I i reflashed odin again and decided to root using 4.0.4 ics...now it worked..I guess we can't flash over 4.1.1 anymore?
anyway, thank you both ^.^
The problem is with the newer roms, when your phone boots, your custom recovery is overwritten with stock recovery. This operation is done with a script that comes with the newer stock firmwares - it's built into the startup procedure. So when you flash a custom recovery with Odin, you need to drop to recovery mode before the phone ever gets a chance to boot into the OS, so that the custom recovery can disable this script. If the phone boots, it will wipe out your recovery. Do you understand now?

Oh now that make a lot of sense. So I was not suppose to reboot before going into recovery with 4.1.1...will keep that in mind next time!
Even though you're rooted, flash the 4.1 root66 in Odin. You don't want to go from ICS to JB via recovery, it doesn't flash all partitions. After you flash root66 in Odin, you will already be rooted. Then you can just flash a custom recovery.

If I remember correctly you can still root normally on the later builds, you just have to pop out you battery after you flash, don't let it auto-reboot, then you can put the battery back in and get to clockwork recovery.

Recovery Fail!

So two days ago I thought about installing Vision X rom on my Note 3 (T Mobile).
I downloaded the ROM and then backed up my current ROM (nandroid). I had Phillz touch recovery then.
Then I thought about going to TWRP and thus I downloaded the latest zip for my phone and flashed it via Phillz upon trying to reboot into recovery it got stuck in the screen "Rebooting Recovery...".
When I restarted it would still try to reboot into recovery and get stuck. I got out of that by going into download mode and then selecting "Restart Phone".
After that I looked for solutions and upon failing to find any I thought about going back to stock and starting from ground zero. I managed to flash the latest stock using Odin however I forgot to do a factory reset before hand.
When I tried to do a factory reset in my, now stock, phone it failed and then got stuck trying to get into recovery. It would flash "Rebooting Recovery..." then restart and flash that in a loop.
I have lost my root as well in the process and trying to root using Odin and CF-Root just get's me back in the recovery boot loop. I can use the phone OK however this is not a stable situation.
I'm sure I've made some serious errors in the tinkering and would like to get my recovery back. I really love Custom Roms. Any kind and knowledgeable souls out there to help me in my cause?

Go to the Playstore and download TWRP Coordinator and then
use it to install the latest TWRP recovery for your phone.
Once you can get back into TWRP recovery you need to flash
the cf-autoroot for your phone. Be sure you flash the CORRECT
version of cf-autoroot for your phone's model.
Good luck!

The app is constantly crashing!
It would start for a second then close. I tried the TWRP manager as well with the same result.
I've lost root access when I Odined back to stock, won't I need root access to install new recoveries?
Sounds like you flashed the stock 4.4 firmware and now need recovery to root. Flash this TWRP file using Odin http://goo.im/devs/OpenRecovery/hltetmo/openrecovery-twrp-2.7.0.1-hltetmo-4.4.img.tar
Once you flash it, you need to boot into recovery to install supersu to root.
Switch off the Galaxy Note 3 (remove the battery and reinsert if needed)
Next, press and hold simultaneously Volume Up, Home and Power.Release the buttons when the screen flickers and wait for the TWRP menu.
Select Reboot, then System and install Supersu for root.
Once booted, open Supersu to update it and grant permission.
Hope this helps. Good luck.

T700 Soft Brick

Looks I've managed a soft brick. I've been able to get it back into recovery and I've been able to push stock recovery (and also just tried TRWP). Odin seems to work and the T700 appears to accept the recovery. Following reboot I'm still getting stuck back to the Samsung boot animation but then I'm stuck at the boot screen; nothing past that.
I'm not sure if this should help any, but while in recovery mode the upper corner reads the following:
ODIN MODE
PRODUCT NAME: SM-T700
CURRENT BINARY: Custom (after flashing TRWP, when flashed with stock it said 'Samsung Official')
SYSTEM STATUS: Custom
I would appreciate any assistance and thanks in advance! This is my first soft brick since Eclair!
Have you tried flashing stock firmware with odin? Or restoring your twrp backup?
Firmware, yes. I flashed TRWP to see if I could restore a backup, but after the initial reboot after the TRWP flash the device still returns to the Samsung logo.
Try download mode then restore to stock using Odin and then go into stock recovery and reset then wipe cache and reboot.

I've tried that but perhaps I'm not following the proper set of instructions. Would you point me in the proper direction? I won't be offended by 3 year old instruction sets.
(This is stock recovery)
Reboot your tablet into Recovery Mode
Next, take the following steps using the Recovery Options:
– Wipe data/factory reset
– Wipe cache partition
Back to main menu and reboot using the option reboot system now.
If that doesn't do it then I dunno. I know it helped me after messing around with flashing and whatnot.
I don't even bother doing it anymore. I just root stock and add/remove the stuff I don't want.

I decided to walk away from it for a day and some change. In the meantime that allowed for the battery to run out. It shouldn't have had a bearing on the fix, mostly because - well it just doesn't make sense - but after charging full following the drain it took a firmware flash to stock.
I appreciate the sanity check!

SM-P600 Stuck at Samsung boot screen

My tab was running stock 5.1.1 rooted and twrp
I flashed the cm-12.1-20160501-NIGHTLY-lt03wifi to check it out, and it was giving me issues so I booted it up in download mode and reflashed P600UEUCNI1_P600XARCNI1_HOME.tar.md5
and now its just sitting at the samsung loading screen .
I cant seem to get it into any type of recovery mode, only download mode.
anyone have any ideas on what i can try to do to get it booting again?
Ok correction i am able to boot into recovery mode.
Ok i was able to get into recovery mode finally..
I reflashed the cm12.1 zip and that is booting.. but still having issues ... it rebooted after doing the initial setup..
I would love to get back to a stock type rom...
You're gonna need to boot into recovery and wipe data & cache.

I was able to get it booting CM again, but i really would like to go back to the stock rom, but flashing it via odin doesnt seem to work, that when i get stuck at the sumsung screen..
now i was thinking this might be because twrp is still the recovery and not the stock. so i need to find the stock recovery to put back and try that i guess
If you're flashing stock firmware, it should replace TWRP with stock recovery.
You're also going to need to wipe data & cache almost any time you are switching ROMs (and definitely if you are switching between stock & CM).

Thats what i thought too about the recovery.img
so you think i should wipe data/cache in trwp then reboot it back to download mode and flash via odin?
