Downgrade from 7.1.2 to 6.0 - HTC 10 Questions & Answers

Has anyone tried downgrading from 7.0(lineage) to 6.0(cm13)? I did & now stuck at bootloader. I can access recovery, fastboot, but when i reboot to system, it will goto bootloader screen.
I wanted to use 6.0 OS because my camera failed on 7.0. My unit is Australian unit but im currently staying in M'sia. What i did was
1. Was on stock 7.0, here is the details :
(bootloader) kernel: lk
(bootloader) product: htc_pmeuhl
(bootloader) version: 1.0
(bootloader) max-download-size: 1579200000
(bootloader) serialno: FAxxxxxxxxxx
(bootloader) current-slot:
(bootloader) version-main: 2.48.841.3
(bootloader) boot-mode: download
(bootloader) version-baseband: [email protected]
(bootloader) version-bootloader: 1.0.0.0000
(bootloader) mid: 2PS620000
(bootloader) cid: TELST001
2. unlock bootloader, flash twrp-3.1.1-0-pme, wipe all, flash lineage-14.1-20170914-nightly-pme-signed. Unit boots on 7.1.2 & worked well(except camera-it doesn't detect my camera at all, no camera app). Read that some units camera stopped working on 7.0, decided to downgrade to 6.0
3. Boot to TWRP, wipe all, install cm-13.0-20160816-UNOFFICIAL-pme. When reboot, it will stay at the bootloader white screen.
I've read few pages here, tried to convert partition to ext4, relock bootloader, wipe everything several times, but it doesnt work. I hope to ask for help, kindly guide me...

HTC One M8 - stuck on HTC logo with open lock sign after firmware update. Bricked?

Hello,
I just tried to update the firmware on my Vodafone branded HTC One. It was running a fairly ancient version of the ViperOne Rom (Version 1.8.0), so I wanted to update this.
On the website of the rom it says that you have to update the firmware first, so I decided to do that. I gave myself SuperCID without problems, because I had accquired S-OFF, when I first unlocked the bootloader.
Here is the information from my bootloader before flashing the firmware:
C:\Users\****>fastboot getvar all
(bootloader) version: 0.5
(bootloader) version-bootloader: 3.16.0.0000
(bootloader) version-baseband: 1.16.2133156.UA15G

I decided to flash the newest firmware. I found the download for the different firmwares at http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2696282 and decided to flash version 3.11.1700.5
Then I went into the RUU Mode and flashed the firmware with fastboot (like in this guide: http://forum.xda-developers.com/htc-one-m8/general/vomerguides-m8-bootldr-unlock-s-off-t2800727 ).
I flashed the firmware two times, as advised and there were no error messages (except for the normal one at first flash).
Now I'm stuck at the HTC logo screen with the "powered by Android" at the bottom.
Also under the android logo, there is a black square with an open lock symbol in it.
I managed to get into the bootloader by pressing Power + Up (hardreset) and then Power + Down (bootloader entry) quickly.
The main thing I can notice here is that the background is black (instead of the white background I'm used to, but I don't know why that is and if it does matter).
When I want to go to recovery from fastboot however, I get an Android with a warning sign.
How do I continue from now on to get my phone working again? If I just boot it up it is stuck forever at the HTC + Android + lock loading screen. Thank you for your help, it is really appreciated as I'm quite scared that I just bricked my phone (although I don't really know why).
What made you decide to flash GPE firmware?
Flash back WWE Firmware(any 3.28.401 would have been fine) or you could also go with the 4.x from Developer Edition. Don't know why you decided to go with 3.11.1700.5 which is Google's Play edition

Oh, i had no idea that I was using GPE firmware. Can I just use the 3.28.401.9 found in this thread (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2701376 )?
Considering that I already flashed a TWRP recovery (which failed to install the ViperOne rom, obviously, see http://pastebin.com/Xs9yy0S0 )?

Yeah flash back Sense firmware. The 3.28.401.9 will be fine.
I can't however view the pastebin link, it's blocked on work PC.

Unbrick HTC 10 on base 1.80.709.1 help

hi friends
i have a problem whit an HTC 10
(bootloader) kernel: lk
(bootloader) product: htc_pmeuhl
(bootloader) version: 1.0
(bootloader) imei: 354261XXXXXXXX
(bootloader) version-main: 1.80.709.1
(bootloader) boot-mode: RUU
(bootloader) version-baseband: [email protected]
(bootloader) version-bootloader: 1.0.0.0000
(bootloader) mid: 2PS620000
(bootloader) cid: HTC__621
the problem is that is bootloping on logo.
i had unbrick many HTC phones whit this problem only by flashing the stuck RUU, the problem in this case is that the base 1.80.709.1 has no RUU...an cant unlock bootloader becasue OEM unlock was OFF at the momento of the damage: So also i cant flash a custom RUU or TWRP
Thing i have Triied:
-HArd reset (wipe data/factory reset)...didnt work
-Modified Firwares (edited android-info.txt and info.bin to avoid security)...didnt work
-Flashed RUU 1.80.617.1 but (obviusly) didnt work because it cant be downgraded on S-on state
- Some other similar stuff
-Flashed the OTA alone whit the 1.80.709.1...dindt work (it dont have system partition) only the OTA
hipotetic solution: The fix here will be to find the 1.80.709.1 RUU ...hope someone could find it please, or have another idea for the soltion i will apreciate it to much.
thanks :good:

Reformat/Reinstall: Questions on running htc RUU unlocked, S-on

Hello,
I couldn't find a thread where this wouldn't feel like I was hijacking it, so I thought a new one was appropriate for S-on types and using the RUU executable rather than flashing zips or imgs.
I'd like to verify my understanding before I attempt to revert mine to stock and instead revert it to a primordial state:
I have US dev/unlocked version (617), firmware 1.96.617.2. It was 1.96.617.1 out of the box but I took the OTA before doing anything else, so I'm wanting to flash the same version RUU with what's on the phone:
(bootloader) version:0.5
(bootloader) ramdump-mode:false
(bootloader) variant:Surf eMMC
(bootloader) secure:yes
(bootloader) version-baseband:
(bootloader) version-bootloader:
(bootloader) max-download-size: 0x20000000
(bootloader) partition-type:cache:ext4
(bootloader) partition-size:cache: 0xe000000
(bootloader) partition-type:userdata:ext4
(bootloader) partition-size:userdata: 0x61b000000
(bootloader) partition-type:system:ext4
(bootloader) partition-size:system: 0xef000000
(bootloader) kernel: lk
(bootloader) product: htc_pmewl
(bootloader) version: 1.0
(bootloader) version-main: 1.96.617.2
(bootloader) boot-mode: download
(bootloader) version-baseband: [email protected]
(bootloader) version-bootloader: 1.0.0.0000
(bootloader) mid: 2PS650000
(bootloader) cid: BS_US001
I've unlocked the bootloader (htcdev way, S-on still), installed TWRP, SuperSU, Xposed, BusyBox, custom boot animations, and ripped out preinstalled system apps with TiBu. Everything works fine but I want to run the RUU to go to bone stock and start over. I want everything wiped, fresh-out-of-the-box state (except for unlocked bootloader, if it doesn't have to be relocked--I'd like to have it unlocked and keep S-on).
I have SyncManager installed/working, drivers are working ("My HTC" in Device Manager), htc's fastboot is handy. At this point, htc instructions say to plug the phone in and launch the RUU exe and follow the prompts but I'd rather confirm if that would work before pulling the trigger: htcdev is great about CYA warnings, terrible with what "modified" means, so I don't know if their instructions only pertain to never-modified-in-any-way phones or my unlocked bootloader, still S-on, modified /system phone. So my first questions would be:
Q1: Do I need to hfastboot oem lock before running the RUU exe from Windows?
Q2: Do I need to hfastboot oem rebootRUU before running the RUU exe from Windows?
Q3: Is there anything else I need to do before double-clicking the RUU exe in Windows with the phone connected?
("hfastboot" is htc's fastboot.exe)
I have one question not directly related to this particular reverting to stock but for my understanding for the future:
Q4: In its current state (unlocked, TWRP installed), could I fastboot flash recovery recovery_signed.img in bootloader mode to restore stock recovery? The recovery_signed.img is from running this htc RUU through the HTC_RUU_Decrypt_Tool_3.1.0-WINDOWS64.
Thank you in advance for your time.

HTC 10 - Rom Recovery

Hi Guys,
I've been trying to help a mate who's gotten himself into trouble with his HTC 10. Now i'm certainly no expert either, but figured that by doing some homework and asking in the right places (here!) we should hopefully be able to get out of trouble.
Full disclaimer - I have no idea what he did to the phone before i got it. I'd assume it was rooted and then he's tried to return it to factory.
The phone will not boot, and currently only has access to the bootloader/download mode. The bootloader is locked and S-ON is enabled.
Now here's where i think it get's tricky. I can't seem to find an RUU for the Telstra ROM it's running (841), and i can't enable debug mode to unlock the bootloader to flash any of the SneakyGhost .zip ROM's that I've found. It would appear we're stuck?
Here's the dump of the getvar all:
(bootloader) kernel: lk
(bootloader) product: htc_pmeuhl
(bootloader) version: 1.0
(bootloader) max-download-size: 1578400000
(bootloader) serialno: FA65T********
(bootloader) slot-count: 0
(bootloader) current-slot:
(bootloader) imei: 3575100********
(bootloader) version-main: 3.18.841.1
(bootloader) boot-mode: download
(bootloader) version-baseband: [email protected]
(bootloader) version-bootloader: 1.0.0.0000
(bootloader) mid: 2PS620000
(bootloader) cid: TELST001
Is there any way to get around this? Could I change the cid to a north american one and flash a stock HTC RUU?
Any help or guidance on where to go from here would be great.
Cheers.

First of all sneakyghost doesn't have any ROMS online, only firmware. Firmwares and ROMS are 2 very DIFFERENT things. Firmware is only the bootloader, recovery and such and a rom is the running OS on the phone, so please do not mix those up.
Second if you can't find any ruu with that number, any firmware with that number, any stock backup with that number and the phone isnt running any software it will indeed be a challenge.
S-off is a way (and also 100% needed) to change the cid and change region. Otherwise you will be stuck with telstra.
I will have a quick peek around to see if there is any software out there.
Edit :
Okay i found a RUU but it's a payed website, i know it's legit as i have seen users here used it and succeeded.
https://firmware.gem-flash.com/index.php?a=browse&b=file-info&id=48060
That file is what you need to get the device up and running in 1 sitting.
Thanks for the response. Clears a few things up for me. If I was to pay tglo get that file, could you outline the steps I should follow?
