Best way to connect this device to tv to watch movies

I have a Panasonic TCP50S30 plasma TV which supports DLNA and is connected to my home network via wired ethernet. On the Panasonic I can use it's DLNA browser to browse content on my PlayStation3 and Computer and even on the Galaxy S3 if I turn on DLNA file sharing. Shouldn't I be able to send videos and photos to the TV from my Galaxy S3? When I click that TV icon in the photo or video browser it only shows my WDTV Live Player and nothing else. When I look in Fing it shows my Panasonic TV on the network and the TV is powered on.
Has anyone been able to send content to a DLNA capable TV?
I don't know if anyone can help me but I figured I could ask. I have a LG BluRay DVD Home theater System that has DLNA ability that is hooked to my HD tv that is not. My home theater reciever is not currently hooked up to my wireless network but I see that the receiver does have a ethernet port in the back. I am mainly trying to connect my galaxy s3 to my tv to stream video etc. Does anyone know if I direct connect the DLNA capable home theater receiver to my wireless router, which will connect it to my wireless network, will I then be able to send info from my galaxy s3 to my theater system which will show up on my TV? Sorry for the noob question but i got to start somewhere.....Any information will help based on my situation of not having a DLNA capable TV lol
Unless i am wrong i dont think you can stream video from your device to the tv. IT has to be content loaded on y our device. Like a movie, song or picture.
Hulu and Netflix and anything you can watch on your device via streaming method will only display on your screen or if you have an MHL adapter.
By using the DLNA app it acts as a media server so you can use your tv/bluray device to brows certain media types on your phone and play them on your tv.
My PS3 is hooked up to my router via the RJ45 jack, and my phone is on the same network via WiFi. They will see each other.
As long as its the same network and the devices are DLNA compatible you should be able to get content off your phone and onto the TV.
Hello.
I used a WD TV Live to stream my music from my Desktop-PC or from my Surface RT. In the WMP 12 i could use the "Play-To"-Function to stream it to my WD TV Live which was connected to my HiFi-System.
I could also use the WD TV Live as wireless Display (Miracast). In Windows 8.1 on my Laptop I could choose the project option to duplicate the screen.
So now i got an Amazon Fire TV and i want to do the same, but for now i cannot find the devices. Do i have to set and option or do i have to install an app on the Fire TV? I would like to avoid using another programm on my desktop pc etc., but i would pay for an app that is necessary on the Fire TV.
So i hope you can help me ...
greets. moe

Hello,
Having problem with dlna on fire tv 4k max. Everything work perfect, and them just stop. Mine smart tv see dlna server, but fire tv dont. I was using VLC. Anybody have idea?
Definitely solved
Connect Firestick with router’s one band. Connect your media server with router’s second band. I mean they should be connected with separate bands, and enjoy.
always set screensaver never.
