I'm not sure since the model and new version don't match up. Is it possible that you have a refurbished G4?

If OTA update didn't offer you to install V10o - it means that the version doesn't exist for Telus.
Why do you want that specific version? (I really believe it doesn't exist)

It could be, the reason is to have the last security updates with root
My LG is on 5.1.1 , but I saw some persons with marshmallow on this device, or im wrong?
I can't download an OTA, because the phone said it is already up to date.

As you can download v20g kdz from LG Bridge, by going into download mode and then clicking Update Error Recovery, I was wondering, if you manually update to v29a, would it download v29a or would it download v20g and downgrade my phone (or would it just not work)

I think v30 is for a different model (G5 maybe). I'll give it a go and see what happens.
Are there any recommended methods for backing up my current v20g modem and bootloader?

the v30 version is not for G5 it is for the LG G4, but it has not been officially released for the H815 version only for the Korean version (F500??) , the v29b version came as a beta test in Poland , and that is why You can not download it threw LG Bridge...... If You search here on Xda or on Google for that sake You will find the answers You are seeking....
PS: You should move this thread (and the other one you made) from the General section to the Q & A Help and Troubleshooting section..... :good:

You can use the v29 kdz version with LG Up , that worked great for my H815 EU version :good: , at least I havent had any issues with it..... Just remember to be on the v20p version before flashing in Lg UP... :fingers-crossed:
I dont know how to move the treads, I think You tag an Admin or Moderator and just ask them to move it to the correct place... Or, perhaps they dont care where we post anymore

Any reason you are unwilling to connect LG bridge to update but willing to crossflash to different firmware? Is your phone really ULM or PM cross flashed to ULM?
