I've been using my Moto z without issue on straight talk for a long while now. However, after the update on the title I no longer have mobile data.
I've tried pulling the Sim, but that doesn't work. Tried resetting the networks, and wiping the cache. Still doesn't work.
When I try and access the apn's, I can see one, but can't edit or add a new one.
I've tried searching and that's where I've gotten the suggestions for the above, however, I'm at my wit's end.
My phone's indicator tells me I have 4G but doesn't connect, so I'm thinking APN.
Anyone else have this issue and is there a solution?

My husband and I both have a MOTO Z and after the update, mobile data doesn't work. We have different carriers but both use prepaid service. Hoping someone has an answer.

I just got a HTC Desire Z and im trying to use the internet on the phone or anything that uses the internet but it keeps saying to go in and check the data connection options or wifi etc.
I am with Optus and it picks that up and registers to the network the correct options are enabled to receive data aswell.
And the phone has reception.
don't know what else to try.. because as soon as i put the SIM back into my TouchPro 2 it connects to the internet fine no problems.
any suggestions ?
everything is stock haven't changed anything yet .. i just dunno what else to try

Contact the provider your bought it from? Or if you bought it on craigslist there is a good chance that it had issues to begin with and you should have checked during the transaction...

Are you connected to a WiFi network, and does that work? Do voice calls work? If voice works, and data doesn't, then you probably need to manually enter the data network APN info for your carrier. Go to Settings>Wireless & Networks>Mobile networks>Access Point Names.
Search on Google to find the proper APN settings for your carrier, then enter them into the phone. This is common when buying unlocked phones. If the APN info is not in the phones database, you need to enter it manually.
If even WiFi does not work, something else is going on.

Hi, last night i flashed my sprint lg g2 stock/rooted phone to cricket using DFS, called up cricket and had them switch to the new flashed phone, and since i have not been able to get data 3g or even 1x on the phone.
I have flashed several phones and never encountered this problem, but this is my first LG phone, Rest were samsung and HTC
Texting and Calls work Great
It constantly lets me know "Mip 67" "Mip 111" and "Unable to Establish a wireless data connection" .
I have searched everywhere and although i can similar people with the problem, all are on sprint.
I have gone through DFS settings many times, reflashing, and nothing is seeming to work or stick
Any help or guidance would be much appreciated, an andorid phone without any internet might as well be a flip phone
Have you tried updating your profile while on WiFi?
A lot of ROMs for the g2 require this

yes, whether im connected to wifi or nothing it gives error.. this is normal with sprint optimized apps when on a flashed cricket phone though.. sprint connection optimizer wont work for all the right reasons... ok i made progress, got 3g, reflashed with simple ip only, no mobile ip. and i get 3g, but not consistant.. but its about progress not perfection! still open to help and advice to solidify this rocky connection
edit: anyone know how to edit the apn settings?? I go to settings and all, i can see yhe apn settings but cannot edit them... first time ever for me on that one

i did, and when i get to the last step where it opens up the apn settings section, its not for cdma, only gsm, and even then not able to edit anything..
ok got 3g somewhat.. goes in and out, have to disable and reenable data to get it to reset it self..

update on whats ive notice over the day.. Itll randomly connect to '3g', but when you go to settings and status, its only really 1x.. mobile state is usually saying its 'connecting', once it does connect data drops out..
from what i believe, its still trying to connect to spring network for 3g, but will use cricket for 1x. might have something to do with the sim card, but i have popped it out to see what happens and it still as sketchy as before.

Ok, got all fixed,.
if you have cricket and are trying to use a ls980, forget using it on crickets cdma network.. go get a sim card from cricket for gsm, pop it in, some build.prop edits, and youre good to go.. pm me if anyone needs any help

Signed up so that I can hopefully help someone else in need with their LG G3 phone using the Straight Talk 4G LTE Verizon sim card.
After many hours of flashing roms and trying out various things, it turns out for some reason other variants of the stock roms like Bliss Pop, CoudyG3, and Skydragon will not work with the data. I can still use my phone and make calls and i can still get text messages and even pictures sent through text messages, but for the life of me data would NOT work.
The only rom that did work again was the Jasmine rom. To my understanding it works pretty close to the stock verizon rom that comes with the LG G3. After the flash, BOOM! Everything worked and data came back to life.
I noticed the APN settings is very very different but this rom wont let you go in it to see it's settings. Surely there is a way to import/export the APN data to push on over to another custom rom? Just weird that after putting this specific custom rom data happily worked again.
BTW, if anyone tries to activate a verizon lg g3 with straight talk, be careful. Though their stupid website said that the phone was already registered with another tracfone provider/service, I was still able to get the phone to work. If after entering your MEID/EMI or whatever the numbers are and the straight talk website spits it back out at you, CALL straight talk. I got screwed and used up the network access code which somehow got lost into oblivion, but turns out that they themselves can manually add the Verizion 4G LTE sim card with the network access code card. (I bought the 4g LTE sim card package from wal mart). As long as the phone is in good standing, it will work!
Thanks. Hope this helps someone else out trying to get it to work with straight talk. I will try and see if there is a way to export this APN setting. I was told by straight talk that you don't need an APN set, but i think they are lying.

Happy to report im using skydragon Rom with straight talk. Turns out you do in fact need to set the apn in the settings. Just add this apn

This is the apn for the Verizon 4g lte sim card when you use it. I didn't have to reset the phone but now data works great.
Hey question. I have a Straight Talk S3 currently running CM 11 kitkat based rom and things work great but I found other roms I want to install one of them being a Pac-Man custom rom but I have no data. I have a Verizon CDMA 4G LTE sim coming in acouple days just need the apn settings. Could anyone help me out with this? Thanx in advance for any help.

Surely it is the same APN setting as above. Try it out once you get your Sim card. Also, that S3 being a different phone may pick up on the access point names when you try another rom and set itself up, but if data is still not working, then try that APN I posted on the first post.
Also, be careful that you are actually connecting at LTE speeds as long as your area has it. Flashing to another rom I was only connecting at 3G. Turns out that once I tried another rom, you have to set the preferred network to LTE, then give the phone a reset. It took it a moment after reboot, but LTE finally showed up.
Depending on your phone, there are other settings to be set in it's hidden menu settings using the phones dialer. Just google around.

Has anyone been able to get data on AT&T USA, I just got this phone today and flashed Eragon already but I don't get any data, I input the correct APN settings and tried both sim card slots but still nothing. I took a look at the engineering menu but i'm not very familiar with it since it's the first time i've owned one of these phones. Does anyone know a way to get any sort of data on AT&T USA calls and texts seem to work fine so far I know 4G isn't possible but I read that 2G maybe even 3G is but I have had no luck. anybody have any info on this?

I have an HTC One M8 with Windows Phone 10 (Updated using a tutorial here) and it has been great! Better than 8.1 by a lot. I recently got a Tracfone sim for CDMA (the phone is verizon) and it worked just fine, no problem.
Yesterday, data would not work at all despite the fact that it said Verizon Wireless LTE and showed signs of data working. Anything I did to try and access the internet said "Not connected". I've looked in the sim settings and "IMS Services" says unregistered and "Internet APN" is set to VZWINTERNET. I've tried calling Tracfone support (which was a major waste of time) and tried changing the APN to the other suggested TRACFONE.VZENTP with no luck (it will not activate or use any custom APN). I have tried rebooting, removing and re-inserting the sim card, changing Mode selection to "Global" and "CDMA/LTE", tried other tutorials, other APN settings, all to no luck..
If anyone has had this issue before or knows how to fix it, that would be greatly appreciated. I'm traveling with family and need data to work.

Followup:
Phone appeared to be in a bricked state. I was using it completely normal, then it froze on me. Completely unresponsive to even the power button for a good 30 seconds of holding down. Charge light not showing, doing absolutely nothing.

Could this issue with the apn and the recent frozen issue be linked? Possible a bad sim card or a hardware issue in htc or win 10?
I've had no luck getting it to start back up and I am in serious need of answers... The phone ran just fine for months.

Tracfone APNs are only compatible with the GSM version.
If you have the CDMA version, first, make sure your device radio is unlocked. Only APNs that support that device radio can be used.
I have an Android version, and I'm not sure if enabling SuperCID could help you, as you'd be able to flash a radio that supports your Tracfone APN.
