[APP][MOD] Sprint GS3 Touchwiz Launcher with scrolling wallpapers

Hey everbody, here is the Touchwiz Home Launcher from the Sprint GS3 modded to allow wallpaper scrolling. Thansk go out to Toss3, I modded the apk according to his instructions here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=27433971&postcount=71
Download the attached(right click and "save as") and flash through recovery
The first one is for ICS, the second is for JellyBean

If it's just a launcher, couldn't this work with the other gs3 variants? Would would be different? I have T-Mobile and would like this feature.

It will probably work with all the US variants. I tried the I9300 one and it didnt work on my device. In order to avoid having to answer a bunch of questions, I posted it for Sprint only, but you can try it.

Is the enabling of scrolling wallpapers the only mod? Also, how would I go about installing/uninstalling this particular APK without root? (reading referenced Touchwiz modding thread now to see if I can figure out without handholding.
If this does what I hope, thanks!
(update: teaching myself to fish, it looks like if I back up the SecLauncher2.apk currently on my device and drop the new one in, I can switch back and forth. Giving it a try.)

If your stock, it might not work. This mod was done with the stock deodexed rom, and yours is probably odexed(since you dont have root). You might be able to install like a normal app, but Im not sure.

I can confirm this works for tmobiles galaxy s3. Im running stock deodexed rom!

Can we install this on AOSP JB roms or is it just for Touchwiz roms?

It requires touchwiz framework.

Why?
If you just install a custom launcher (nova, go, apex, etc) im pretty sure these all have the capability to enable wallpaper scrolling
For those who don't feel like rooting!

Hello community I want share this application, that was taken from my Note 3, deodexed and tested in my wife's galaxy S3 4.3 stock rom and work fine.
Function: you can set it as wallpaper in lockscreen and it shows ramdom images of beautiful touristic sites around the world, simply but give a different look
Installation: download the attached apk file, with a root browser copy to system/app folder and change permissions to rw-r--r-- and them reboot....
Set as wallpaper lockscreen: go to settings /my device/display/wallpaper/lock screen and select: travel wallpaper
(briefcase icon)

app not installed. I don't think this was built for kitkat

Working fine with me. Make sure you have the correct permission and reboot after pushing it into the system/apps

ok are you rooted? or just you tried to install as normal app? it need be installed as system app to work...

I have a Galaxy S4 and rooted. I know this apk was pulled from Note 3. Will it work? If not, can someone have one for S4?

Should work on any touchwiz Rom 4.3 or later... excuse my late reply... i test it on some others roms (LG roms) and don't work

You have to be rooted, extract folder TouchWizHome_K to system/priv-app with the right permissions (permissions: rwx - rx -rx for folders and rw-r-r for apks) and reboot.

Does this work on rooted stock lollipop?
Wouldn't mind checking this out. not alot of theme options for note 3 like note 2, miss full screen calls, changing system menu background, etc

Actually you don't need to, I just reflashed my phone to stock lollipop via odin, rooted the phone, and installed the Edge launcher and all is working just fine. Good luck

Right on thanks for the time you put in to see if it works on stock lollipop, idk what im doing wrong but after reboot i get touchwiz has stopped working have to restore from back up. I extracted file to prvapp, have read and write permissons

Weather is not showing on homescreen only date. Secondly daily wallpaper changer is not working it says app not installed.

@heriskh go to settings>apps> on top right menu (three dots next to settings) show system find pixel app and grant all permissions thats it. It should be working now.

@akaSStalkALEX this posst is for how to enable google assistant not the launcher. And for that also you need to have custom recovery installed and its for androind 7.0+.
Heres apk you can install dont need root just google page on left is not working it needs to be installed as system app to be working.

For activate weather goto settings>apps>show system apps from top right menu>find pixel launcher app and grant all permission and it will work.

I granted all the permissions already and its still not working. I am using xperia z2 existenz 5.0 deodexed

after opening the menu the background is white in colour .. that's pretty annoying , will it be possible for me to change it to black , or may be transparent ??

Works like a charm on my Z3 existenz 5.6.5 no problem at all
For peeps who's fail or got issue please give info what ROM, odex / deodex I'm sure it'll help Dev while porting an app

Hey is the shortcuts function included in this version?
It doesn't work for me!

How come it only has 4 icons in dock and not 5. Grid size is also 4x5

I revert back to leaked Launcher3 coz have 5 apps on the dock

simple solution for who want 5 apps on te dock is edit the display density to 280 dpi
unrooted device: adb shell wm density 280

Plz add 4x5 drawer app and hide app options

Everything working fine on my Z5.

Reduce your device's dpi to a lower dpi than the current one.

Grand Prime's DPI is too small for the Pixel 2 launcher, so the search bar does not have any margins at the bottom.

Attached the APK file. Although it might not be the same APK as the op but I downloaded it from the official port and it works flawlessly on my device which runs on 7.1.2

No, it only works on android 8

Replace it with your default launcher. I think it's Launcher3. Replacing should work because the both of them have same package signature.

This problem is this:
You have the old pixel launcher installed by defect,
You need uninstall it, then install the pixel launcher 2.

The stock launcher that is preinstalled on the ROM. You have to replace it with the Pixel 2 Launcher. I am not sure about RR but on my AEX the stock launcher is Launcher3. Maybe RR is also running Launcher3 as most of the AOSP is bundled with it. So replace it from
/system/app/Launcher3.
