Hi Thanks for the reply. I am already having ear pods.
It's only audible when the audio is low volume, for example during dialogue in a video.
When the radios are turned off, the problem disappears. Seems like a major design flaw to me.
Is every unit affected by this? Is worth to return my unit because of this or should I just switch to bluetooth headphones?
Never noticed this on my device

Someone managed to record what it sounds like:

Tried to pair my Honor8Pro to my Jabra Evolve 65 headphone earlier today but didn't work.
Tapped on the piece and somehow didn't pair. I ended up pairing it the conventional way - BT pair mode on headset and searched for it from phone.
Very sure the headset is fine coz I could pair with it from my Note2.
Just wondering if anyone tried it and worked? Or is the NFC on the Honor8Pro just for "wallets"?

Did you try another NFC enabled device to pair your phone with?

managed to try after a few tries... like close to 10. had to move around a bit.
just FYI... the NFC chip is probably near the fingerprint sensor. then again, should not be surprising since the rest of the phone is metal.

Yes it should be between the FPS and IR blaster.

Hi , i would likle to request that honor please work on headset quality or speakerphone . it has very bad sound quality even in earphone dosent have that much of sound maximum level and it has dts quality but i really dont think that is well enough ..there should be equaizer option in music app. honor 8 pro dosent have good output if i play songs through 3.5mm aux to speakers . its really annoying . please work on .
It can be improved a little bit we an equalizer, given the fact the it doesn't have a DAC (like LG V30) the sound quality through headphone is not good
similar item suggested here:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/honor-8-pro/help/music-sound-t3669049
12. Improve on volume level, especially when using earphones. Also, an equalizer?
we'll work on getting honor to look into everything listed there...
I really hope they improve it. Audiophile here as well.

Shouldn't be an issue. I guess your ears are accustomed to the sound levels from your previous phone.
I too have the same earphone and yes, initially I found the volume low but it's completely fine now.
On my previous phone, I would the volume at about 20 to 30 percent. On honor 8 pro, I have to keep it at around 60 to 70.
And yes equaliser is missed.
But sound clarity is really great.

Sound quality ain't bad but you will have to keep the volume level a bit high compared to other phones to have the same loudnes level.

The DTS is bad at least for me. It muffles the sound a bit.
I've own sony xperia z1 before, and have to agree that honor 8 pro music player just too basic. DTS improve it a bit, but it will be good if they add equalizer and clear bass just like xperia music player. Its just a software tweaks they missing.

Sony Xperia is media oriented, focusing on sound and camera quality but honor is not. Just being budget friendly.

Yeah I know that. But I think at least all smartphone now have equalizer. Tried a few equalizer apps on play store, but they makes music quality worse.

How about Dolby and Viper? I was using it on my Honor 8 Pro, and I will surely use it once I root my Honor 8 Pro.
Recently the speakee volume or the headset output has decreased on honor phones. Not aure why. Honor 4X, 5X sounds are still loud enough. 6X is very bad with very low loudspeaker.
Seems camera is increasing and sound is decreasing
