Updated out of the box device to latest android.
Tried to unlock the bootloader by adb method.
typed
"adb reboot bootloader
fastboot -i 0x2b4c flash unlock unlock_bootloader.img"
and then the command screen showed " [waiting for the device] "
As i was waiting i scrolled through the options by volume keys.. they are like "Restart" "boot to recovery".......
Accidentally pressed power key when it showed something like "Boot to ffb" or "Boot to fbb"
now struck in a screen which has some options like..
"1 SYSTEM INFO
2 KEYPAD BLACKLIGHT
3 LCD BACKLIGHT
4 LED RED
5 LED GREEN
6 LED BLUE
7 FLASHLIGHT
8 KEY
..

.. "
My screen is not responding well..
Also this screen what i see everytime i try to reboot by holding the power key.

Looks like u messed up during unlocking the bootloader.. Try flashing the stock ROM by QPST method... then again try to unlock the bootloader from the guide available at XDA ... For flashing via QPST... go to this link
https://zukfans.eu/community/threads/indian-z2-plus-qpst-official-firmware-zui_2-0-093_st.587/
and there is a guide too for QPST flashing on XDA ... All the best
view the video in the OP please
that is my actual scenario,
my device is only being detected as a CD/DVD that too after installing Zuk USB drivers.
I am unnable to switch it off if it has any battery left..
it will only switch off at 0% battery..
and the options on screen are not working
EDIT : I got to know i'm stuck in "all auto test mode"
Even telling me the key combinations to reboot into normal or some other mode is appreciated.

Search Google for "how to make factory cable for zuk z2"
And follow link for recovery in this thread
Have you tried booting into edl mode the hardware method?
As long as you are in edl mode and your phone appears in port 9008 in com ports ,you will be good to go and install the stock rom via qpst .
Just google, booting into edl mode zuk z2 plus

Already Read it.
But I got "error !" when I choose recovery mod. !
Wait 30 seconds or so after error and every few seconds press power or VolUp or VolDown. Eventually should bring you to recovery.
Anyway, you don't need to change ROM in recovery. Do it in fastboot.

Arrived at the dead android.. You have to keep pressed power button and tap 1 time Volume up

URGENT!
URGENT!!! Suddenly my Zenfone 2 went to the boot screen and has been loading now for three days. After searching I found out that it was a bootloop, but the problem is that any fix that is suggested everywhere is useless for my case because my PC doesn't recognize the Zenfone. When I plug it to the computer via USB cable and then displays the message that the driver wasn't downloaded successfully. After this message I can't follow any guide of how to fix the boot loop, because when I type the "adb devices" command on CMD, it doesn't displays any device. I am really trying to save the photos in the phone but I can't do anything unless it is connected to the PC. I am considering doing a Factory reset but I am afraid of to things: all of my photo are going to be erased and I am not sure if the hard reset will work for my case. I have downloaded some photo recovery apps but all of them ask me to root the phone to get the photos. Can anyone help me cause I am in a very bad tech situation?

Hello, and thank you for using XDA Assist.
Please wait while I connect you to the appropriate forum (below) where your device experts can be found:
> Asus ZenFone 2 > ZenFone 2 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting
For what it's worth, I think your stock recovery is still functional even with the flashing exclamation point. All you will need to do is download a full version of the stock ROM, rename it to MOFDSDUPDATE.zip, place on an SD card and boot the phone into recovery.
Hope this helps, and good luck!

You already have stock recovery
Whenever the Android guy with ERROR shows, press and hold the power button for 1 sec and then while holding it, press the volume up button. It will bring out all the recovery options. Cheers...
Thanks, worked for me too ! (just i used volume up + power instead of volume down).
Hello
I was updating from a M version to another M verions. But I had to use the temporary recovery method.
This is what I was doing but didn't finish properly
Requirements:
1. Unlocked bootloader
2. TWRP for Z00A (Download | How to Install TWRP)
Unlock Bootloader on Android 6.0 Marshmallow ZenFone 2 ZE551ML/ZE550ML
Download tool (Download Here)
1. Extract it and connect Zenfone 2 with laptop/pc
2. Click unlock.bat will automatically detect whether the adb or fastboot mode, and then reboot into bootloader
3. Will appear on the screen to unlock the success of mobile phones after five seconds will reboot, then hold volume up the phone automatically re-boot back to bootloader.
4. If you missed the previous step, press the power button for 10 seconds off, then press the "Volume Up" and hold the power button to boot into bootloader.
5. After the phone has successfully re-enter the bootloader, click restore.bat on the computer, where the restore refers to the restore Android ifwi 6.0 otherwise Android phone can not enter the system.
6. The phone will reboot and restore white on black ASUS logo screen, and then enter the Android system.
Click to collapse
I extracted and connect my zen2
Ran the unlock.bat
The phone entered the bootloader, flash his things and boot again but on the white screen
Then I had to hold power button 10s to turn it off and turn it on again
Entered the bootloadr by holding Power+Vol UP then to recovery.
At this time I just used the recovery as I usualy do, Wipe everything, cache, data, etc.
Connect to the PC, put the new UL-Z00A-WW-4.21.40.184-user.zip there and flash.
BUT now that comes the problem. I select the option to boot it after finish flashing.
So obviously I didnt finish the steps mentioned on the quote above.
I didnt ran the restore.bat before reboot into system and now All I see is black screen.
I've tryed some steps of those tutorials for briked phones but My computer can't see the device for long enough
http://forum.xda-developers.com/zenfone2/help/thead-bricked-phone-updating-to-mm-tips-t3452785
I try to do those steps but I'm stuck on this part
now back to the Zenfone 2, hold power for 20 seconds to shutdown, then press simultaneously the key "power" + "volume down", until phone vibrates. Or computer makes detection sound, wait a few seconds it will add an item immediately below intelSoC in device manager “MOOREFIELD” new devices is successful.

My phone doesn't boot even on bootloader. It just vibrate twice and then nothing happens.
On my device manager I can see the "Moorefield" but only for a brief moment. when I try to turn on the phone then it immediately disapears and repeat this process (Vibrate twice, long preiod doing nothing and still black screen, then vibrates again twice, repeat)
Any suggestion?
Thanks in advice

any luck fixing? i got the same result, no screen or anything, two vibrations since yesterday
Sadly, no.
no fix for me yet...
Let me know if you find something
You have tô unbrick your phone. There are some tutorials in the forum
I am using the Z008D variant of the Zenfone 2.
I had bricked my phone 3 times and the guides that had helped me are:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/zenfone2/help/thead-bricked-phone-updating-to-mm-tips-t3452785
https://forum.xda-developers.com/zenfone2/general/guide-brick-soft-hard-bricked-zenfone-2-t3284256
I too had the same problem the first time I unbricked my phone. The moorefield device would show up briefly in device manager. It is stated in the guide that you had to press power+vol down when connecting the phone to use xFSTK. I googled and found that you had to actually press and hold the vol down button only and then connect the USB cable, then release it when the moorefield device is detected.
This guide is to recover the Zuk Z2 (plus) from hard brick state
So you might be stuck here -
Phone is not turning on
Phone Reboot and screen go black with notification light on and you are unable to switch it off.
How To-
1. How to switch it off
- First this is happening because you have locked you're bootloader
- You have black screen and led on so just hold power button then Zuk logo will be flash after that you will get black screen again and the phone is preparing to reboot but before that the led will get turn off immediately release power button.
(It's crucial timing but when rebooting your device vibrates so it's the time when phone is about to start vibrate while LED is off just leave power button)
- You have it Your phone is switched off
(Tip- Let it reboot once after that don't leave the power button and after that led will get off you have to remove finger from power button this is tricky )
2. Going to Bootloader
-First connect the USB to laptop
-After you have switched off your phone press volume up and down together and with holding buttons connect the phone to USB and you will see the fastboot mode.
3. Unlock your phone
-Remember the unlock bootloader file in your email re download it and unlock your bootloader again
- Don't reboot right away as you don't have any OS installed Even if it boot it might give problem.
- after unlocking phone you will see phone rebooted press power button reboot press volume the volume button and go to reboot option
4. For Userdata
- I suggest you to flash recovery instead of using old installed one.
- go to fastboot and flash the TWRP.
- Boot into TWRP and you will see your data on internal storage is present so just sideload ROM or if you have in internal storage just flash
( Note- in case you are using TWRP 3.4 newer roms with factory based ROM will flashed without problem in case you are trying to flash old Oreo non-treble ROMs you need to wipe like you do for normal ROM installation and reboot to recovery then flash Oreo Non-treble ROM otherwise they will not boot even after flashing)
Or
- QFIL ZUI 4.0.199ST as this QPST
- When selecting the XML file select retain userdata one so it won't erase your userdata partitions
5. In case you want to flash ZUI
- Load files in QFIL
- To reboot phone into EDL from Fastboot mode type following command
Code:
fastboot -i0x2b4c oem reboot-edl
- It will get detected in QFIL just hit Download.
In case you run into Sahara failed error follow my guide to fix sahara error

- You have black screen and led on so just hold power button then Zuk logo will be flash after that you will get black screen again and again the phone was preparing to reboot but before that the led will get turn off immediately release power button
- You have it Your phone is switched off
(Let it reboot once after that don't leave the power button and after that led will get off for small time this is the time you have to remove finger from power button this is tricky )
2. Going to Bootloader
-Firstly connect the USB to laptop
-after you have switched off your phone press volume up and down together and with holding buttons connect the phone to USB and you will see the fastboot mode
3. Unlock your phone
-Remember the unlock bootloader file in your email re download it and unlock your bootloader again
- after unlocking phone you will see phone rebooted press power button reboot press volume the volume button and go to reboot option
- go to fastboot and flash the TWRP and you will see that your data on internal storage is present so flash any ROM and you will see your data

Hey thanks for responding.
So i have tried every combination mentioned on internet, saw the deep flash method as well(but didn't attempt.)
Left my phone untoched for full day.
switched my regular charger to moto turbo charger and volla my phone booted!
PS: there was only single white light blink while pressing power button and when connected to charger it blinks continually with no vibration.

Hey I have a hardbricked zuk but the only signs of life is a white led and at times a vibration when I connect it to pc there is a a port written as Qualcomm HS-USB Diagnostics 900E (COM4) . I've seen quite a lot of threads of booting it to edl and deep flashing is not a choice I'm willing to take . I'd appreciate it if you are able to help me
thanks
Thanks a lot buddy.
Bricked today by flashing a baseband.
Revived as per your guide.
Actually i'm never tensed about flashing roms, Kernels, fonts, apps, mods anything and bricking our device.
There are so many good guys to save our a$$...................
Thanks buddies....... :good::good::good::good:
