I have two G4s and on both I do not see the option to turn on this option (I looked under "Call"in the settings). Both are on android 6.0. The H815 is V20e-TWN-XX.
Is it possible to get this option? For example if I flash the H815 with another regions ROM will I get it? If yes, which one will be good one to try? Or should I forget it and wait for Nougat?
Thanks

I bought a LG G3 here at Brazil (version D855P), but when I flash the European firmware (UK or Germany), it doesn't get the HSPA+ technology, just the HSPA. It's a lower connection velocity, so, I want to know why does that happen.
And how I can solve this problem, because I didn't find anywhere how to flash different modems on the G3, if that was going to solve anything...
I want to do this kind of change because of the carrier customization on the phone, that I managed to get rid off some things, but remains the wallpaper and home page of the browser.
Waiting for the replies, thank you.
Hello, I understand that a model can be specific to certaing regions, due Radios, etc..., But I am totally confused now, as there are way too many versions of the LG G4.
For instance, I am seeing that LG Mexico is announcing the H815P model, I wonder if this model is very different than the standard version (H815)?
Carriers in Mexico tend to add too much bloatware to their phones, would it be able to add a very stock version of the firmware, even though it is for another version, F.i. H815?
Thank you
Not sure if this matters or not, but my (South African) LG G4 is model H815P

Does your SA version of the phone have pre-loaded bloatware? Is it carrier specific?

Can you (or any other H815P users) share your IMEI with me via PM? Feel free to leave the last 4 digits if you wish to stay "anonymous".
Having IMEIs of every single variant allows me to keep track of things without needing to wait on users. I won't hold it against anyone for not sharing... but it would be much appreciated if someone could. :good:

thanks. H815P has no root at all? Even on Android 5 Lollipop? If no one's made a pre-rooted system.img for H815P I can look into getting one for you guys.
No root on Marshmallow though due to locked bootloader. Nothing available as of yet anyway.
I bought G4 on Chile, version H815P. Came with V10a. Updated trough LGUP to 10d as corrects lots of things.
Battery for MM (for me) it's just awful. I tried 20c 20d 20e.
You can flash H815 KDZ to H815P

Thanks. That would be much appreciated. Even Low Effort Root doesnt seem to address the H815P. Updated OTA to MM V20d now, think will stay on it till a solution is found. :fingers-crossed:
Greetings from Kenya :highfive:

hello
I have a lg h815p... I can install a rom?
This is going to sound like a noob question, but I have been a HTC user for the last 3 years (M7 and M8) and LG is a little different.
So, I always check this XDA page for useful information when choosing a phone. I have seen 2 versions of the LG G4: h811 and h815. What are these and what is the difference?
Also I am deciding between the G4 and the OnePlus 2 so what do you think I should get?
Thanks is advance!
i'm guessing h815 is the international version
Sent from my LG-H815 using Tapatalk
H811 is t-mobile. H815 is international variant. If you do get a G4 you'll want the H815 but look for the european model or else you won't be able to unlock the bootloader and install new roms (cyanogenmod etc)
You can unlock, root, and ROM them both. You just have to carrier-unlock the 811 if you take it off T-Mobile.

Hey guys,i recently got the LG G4 coming from a G3
Trying to unlock the bootloader of this phone i saw that the Taiwan model that i have isnt supported
I am thinking of what i can do to unlock my device
I thought a possibility would be to flash the european image on my phone in download mode ?
Or enter a different IMEI to my device when LG Website asks me to enter it
If you guys have any luck with the other international versions of LG G4 please let me know
Thank you very much

I know a developer in korea they say all Internationals models of G4 will have bootloader unlocked although he doesnt recommend it but it will be available.. He may not be sure of other carrier varients currently lg is working on it and its status will be available on their site when finished

Its one of those ill believe it when i see it. Now i know. There have been plenty of phones and tablets get unlocked officially and unofficialy 1.2.even 3 years later. I just know the encryption that the bls have on them and its bassicly unhackable. Thats why i say exploits. Unless someone finds the trusted key that lg uses. Which from what ive read. Is generated randomly from each iemi and android id. But i for one hope it happens and if ita any consolation that does revive my hope in g4 development. Lol i got a lg k7 unlocked and u can oem unlock then fastboot oem unlock. But theres absolutly no development for this device yet. Im bakin up a rom for it now
I read here and there that there are people claiming to use VOLTE on an LG G4.
I have a H818P variant and humble ask:
Does anyone know if VOLTE is supposed to work on it at all?
Or do I need a specific ROM which I have to flash on it?
VoLTE is a feature on your h818P
See: https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/unlock-unofficial-g4-unlock-any-lg-g4-device-with-usu.3760451/
and scroll down to the 'Complimentary Phone Services' field. VoLTE is listed for both the h818N & h818P.
Thank you for your answer. Unfortunately, I cannot find the entry you mentioned.
In addition, the H818P is not supported by the method described there because of the touch screen not responding to any entry after unlocking a H818p.
