SnapdragonCamera contains a bunch of changes from "Snap" from LineageOS, parts from OmniRoms SnapdragonCamera, parts from AOSPA's ParanoidCamera

some small modifications and improvements
High Quality Noise reduction by default
Picture quality set to "high" by default
Known limitations:
disabled ImageStabilisation on 4k, 1080p and 720p (api v1 only)
Camera sometimes crashes in video mode while fast switching between the camera lenses (api v1 only)
can't switch through all 3 camera lenses (api v2 only)
manual ISO doesn't work (or giving wrong exif information?) (api v1 only)
Video High FrameRate seems to do nothing (option removed on api v2)
broken qvga and vga Video resolutions, options removed (api v1 only)
Bokeh mode not functional, removed
Not sure how much time i'll spend with it, i am not the big coder, but thought sharing for those who are interested

Since the "van Gogh" effect seems to be Camera App specific I thought it's worth spending some time on Snap to get it running on Stock OOS. Updated it the whole day, still air for improvements but good to go for now

There's no such mode. Haven't used Snap that much, only always quick testing. I know it has a bunch of settings but idk what's added exactly and what's working ATM and what's not.

Before I buy OP5 i had OP3T and With ROM Cr Droid Nougat 7.1.1 you can record slowmotion 240FPS at 720p. They had the same camera. Could you please make 240fps?

Only 120 fps.
I've made some tests and I'm liking this camera. For now I like it more than OOS camera.

thanks mate, installing it with your zip doesn't FC while selecting panorama mode and also can take panoramas properly it seems and front camera not flipped
it only FCs when i try to open a picture I've just taken, but that's because i deleted gallery all maybe so not a big problem
will check now quality of this camera compared with Google camera and see.. thanks again to both you and OP!

Thanks for the zip, will include it in OP, how did you flip the camera? Xiaomi have made a mistake with their camera hal, ill be compiling one soon with flipping the front camera if hal3 is enabled.

I have compiled the app, will be modifying it for example increasing the max range of iso from 1600 to 4800 etc...
can your maybe fix also the app FC when clicking on the picture thumbnail when there is no stock gallery installed? I'm using only Sony album here..

Lower the iso to 100 to increase camera quality
One question: with google camera or aosp camera, i can setup pictures 16:9 at 11.9 megapixel, while with snapdragon camera first highest resolution available for 16:9 is 8 megapixel, do you know why? tia!

I cannot find an option to attach screenshot.
And to remove this mod copy camera folder and paste it somewhere safe in SD card. Then flash the mod. to remove the mod just delete camera folder from system and paste the old one which you backed up.

Camera 2 api doesn't interfere in this. If you don't use Google camera disabled camera 2 api
During filming resumption of the pause function causes fc (RRemix N).

i personally dont like miui cameras as i find them blurry and worst at stabilization. tons of times i got irritated taking selfie pics with miui camera that ends with blurry snaps while in the past month i have used pixel hdr+ which worked fast and accurate for my mindset. so i have preferences

True... The worst stabilization of all cameras... Miui Redmi 3s camera is the worst 13 mpx camera that i ever tried.

Slow motion only works in bright lighting conditions and at 480p(SD video quality) only.
Since everyone on the huge OnePlus 3 thread gets tetchy if you raise queries about other phones, I decided to start a discussion thread. What have your experiences with these mods been, and which variations work best for you?
Personally, I've opted for the recent Google Camera Pixel Mods by @Arnova8G2 as they seem to give the best all-round functionality on this phone. I can switch between the various mods and configs without a hitch, and portrait mode works a charm. I find that the main Arnova mod (GCMod5) doesn't seem to work well on this phone in Portrait mode, either failing to take a pic without HDR + or giving greenish selfies with HDR+ active; his Pixel Mod, on the other hand, works perfectly.
Google Camera Pixel Mod links: Original version (more options in advanced); v1 (improved video stabilisation).
Recommendation: If you want detailed main and selfie cam pictures, set the model config to "Nexus 5x" instead of "Nexus 6P"; I was dissatisfied with the selfies on the latter config, but after reading this by B-S-G, I switched and all was well. The main camera config, as with the actual Nexus phones, is exactly the same.

Yeah same thing on ZUK Z2 Pro with same gcam mod, all of them ... No matter that Camera2API is there ... Just not working ... Period ...

I tried and the max recording fps still 30 - I think is something related to the camera driver. The dev of the ROM's need to fix it

This "Pixel2Mod" doesn't work as well for this phone as the "PixelMod". Greenish front HDR+, followed by crashes; plus, all the model/HDR+ configuration options are gone.
@Arnova8G2, if you could add a toggle to fix the greenish/pinkish tint on the back camera's "HDR+ on" mode, and perhaps stick in your "improve photos in low light" toggle, the original "PixelMod" would be the best GCam mod for this phone, hands down.

Everything working except for still greenish effect on front camera portrait mode, and no hdr+ on front camera.
I suggest you guys to do a clear cache/data on every install.
may I ask in which ROMs Google Camera works properly ?
I know that it works on AEX 5.1 but that ROM seems to be buggy for me , I did not like it. I use RR v5.8.3 for a long time since it is very stable and battery life is good but I tried to install Google Camera in that ROM , no luck..

I don't think any Nougat ROM for this phone supports Camera2API. It was kinda a big deal when it was annouced for AEX 5.1. What version of 5.1 was "buggy" for you? The latest official version has issues, but the New Year's Eve beta works great.

The last version works really slow for me.. for example double tab to wake feature works with 1-2 seconds delay. Same as pressing power button to wake device up works with delay.. Wifi toggle also same.. I mean in general feeling ROM was quite slow compared to RR Nougat ROM. I saw your post about new year's eve version in another topic , I downloaded it and tried to install but somehow same gapps which was working in latest version did not work in new year's eve version.. Can you tell me which gapps (with release date of gapps) did you flash exactly?
Last 2 days I keep switching between ROMs to check which one is most stable.. I should say that definitely Stock ROM with Android 8 is the fastest and most stable one. But it is very frustrating that you can not use Google Camera in that ROM , such an annoyance.. howcome ZUI developers did not include camera2api in Oreo version , i could not understand

Did anybody try this? Are the photos as good as Pixel 3 especially portraits?
Thanks OP. It works great. No crash yet. The rear and front cam portrait work good and way faster compare to gcam mods on my old S8+.
The night option shows a bank screen.
I tried as well. The regular HDR+ shots handle light sources much better than the current 6T stock hdr. Taking a picture of a dark room with a television with text (high contrast) but putting the focus point below on a dark object, 6T stock cam blows out the picture onscreen, where as pixel cam port keeps the text legible. I have the same issue as well, with Nightsight on the port just rendering a black screen in the viewfinder and locking the app. Great first start though, massive potential here, maybe oneplus dev's could decompile and take a few pointers

And use AR CORE application? I want to buy this phone but I will wait until camera performance will be equal to pixel (I can't root my device because of bank application and other app that does not work with root or unlocked bootloader)
Can also someone provide information about API camera level support ? is Level 3 or just Full ?

How long does it take to snap a shot in HDR+ Enhanced on the OP6t? I had the gcam port on my OP5, and that phone always took a good 3 seconds to actually take the picture once I tapped on the shutter button.

Less than a second.
This app shows that the camera hardware OnePlus is using is way better than the stock camera app software is letting it be.
The camera on the OnePlus could be great with better stock software.

Well ar stickers works just fine
However I am not able to use Marvel stickers and playground 2.0
Pretty cool to use once installed. The selfie camera in regular and portrait mode is 10x better. Still use nightmode on my stock 6T camera of course and the regular camera on the back is much better through this pixel app.
Few things though: The camera will take a photo and sometimes crash when you go to look at the image and the photo doesn't save. No biggie because this is happening to Pixel 3 users lol. The other things is, I don't know if any of you have taken time to notice, but the portrait mode on the back camera doesn't work from what I can tell and a few of my friends with extensive photography knowledge said they felt the same way when examining this. We took multiple photos with the regular back camera and the portrait mode back camera and the focus was the exact same, but because it's focus on the object is so strong it might appear like it's blurring out the background. Also, not sure if this proves my point, but these cameras will save both the regular photo and the portrait mode photo to give you the options which only happens when I take a selfie in portrait mode, but not on the back camera in portrait mode. Anyone else experiencing this issue? Thanks for the hard work guys, this is still great!

Here are three different photos, first one taken on my Pixel 3 XL, second one taken on my OnePlus 6T with the Pixel camera port, third one taken on my OnePlus 6T with the stock camera app.
To large to add all three to one post so here are the Pixel 3 XL and OnePlus 6T using the Pixel camera app. I'll add the photo taken with the stock Oneplus camera app in the next post.
This will be a dedicated thread for the different Google Camera ports working for the Xiaomi Mi A1 since other threads are not being updated by their OPs and I will try to maintain this one like the OnePlus 6 Google Camera Port thread. Rom: Stock 8.1
Darker ones are shot with HDR+ enhanced mode and Brighter ones are with Night Mode
Everything is working fine in Arnova8G2 GCam_Pixel3Mod_1_build.6.1.013 except front camera. All the pictures taken with front cam are greenish and blurry. Night sight working like a charm. I'm on LiquidRemix 10.0.1 pie ROM. Here are some samples.

Great thread! Quick question tho, anyone still getting the dot pattern bug when shooting bright blue skies and bright colors? It shows when zooming in photos taken with hdr+
The front camera will be fixed in the next version, i talked to aranova and he will fix it.
The arnova pixel3 version works a bit slow/laggy for me, also no live picture in night mode, although it works/produces the image. BSG version works better, except for the annoying "hexagon" popup.
Side question - which is the best/most stable gcam version with ZSL/motion stills/slomo? I used a pretty old one, I wonder if there was any progress to this day - will try the ones in 1st post tomorrow.
p.s is there any way of having several camera apps installed? Usually it wants to overwrite the current one, although id like to test a few ones parallel.

Did not test this with the BSG mod I installed, but the front camera is green. And it says "hexagon failed" when taking a portrait or night photo but it still seems to work. Could you edit the post and add this? Thanks

All 6.1+ versions still have front cam issues if you'd read previous replies.

The 625 is weak and zsl and other features would be too much for it.
Some launchers can rename apps. App cloners should also be able do it.
